We had a great time. I would of gave it a 5 star but our hot tub experience was a bit chilly. It would not warm up. Kinda sucked after rafting would of been nice to relax in the hot tub
Had a great time at the lodge. It was very clean and comfortable. The view was great. It is just off the beaten path but easy to get to with a good paved road. A short ride to Blue Ridge and Mercier Orchards. Will consider a return trip.
The cloud lodge was perfect for a weekend in the mountains. We had everything we needed to cook all our meals there and grill out on the back deck. The hot tub was a favorite and space was perfect for the kids. We wish we could have staid longer.
Clean house, great views, easy check in process.
Very spacious and clean, has everything you need to feel like your at home! The view of the mountains is breathtaking
Our group was three women (we were expecting four), and we had gobs and gobs of space for everyone! We were pleasantly surprised by how spacious and yet still cozy the Cloud Lodge was, and we had a thoroughly restorative girls' weekend! The only complaint I have has to do with essentials I was expecting in the rental but did not find. The remote controls in the living room had entirely dead batteries; I did find one AAA in the laundry room, but we needed four to get the TV/Blu-ray & media player to work. That was one trip to Wal-Mart. We then discovered that there was no dishwasher detergent in the kitchen. I called the rental property's number first thing Saturday morning, and they said they would send someone over with some detergent. By late afternoon, I'd given up and made another trip to the store to buy some. I also never found a can opener. These are not things that I had expected to need to bring, and I wish that they had been there. Apart from those hiccups, though, as I said -- we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and the spectacular views from the porch/living & great room. There was a little room off the main living area, adjacent to the laundry room, with no clear purpose ... but it made the *perfect* yoga room for us while we were there. An unexpected delight! :)
Where to begin? At the beginning of course. Barbara was a dream to deal with, always helpful and her humor was on point. The moment we opened the front door you are blown away. The pictures and videos don't do it justice, it was that and much more (I want the name of your decorator). The views were breathtaking, watching the sunrise as we sat on the porch and have our coffee was priceless. From the kitchen to the bedrooms were perfect, fully stocked, nothing was overlooked. The little town of Blue Ridge is enchanting, every restaurant we visited was to die for and the little shops were lovely. Everything exceeded our expectations and then some. We look forward to visiting again and staying at another one of the properties. Barbara, I'm really trying to find something to complain about, but can't find a thing. OK!!!! I found something. Someone traded out the potato peeler for the can opener. (Inside joke) Again thank you for making our vacation memorable and hope to be back soon. Five-Star rating. Kindest Regards, The Rodriguez-Viotes Family
We had a very pleasant weekend at "The Cloud Lodge". Accommodations were nice and well maintained. There was plenty of room for our group of 8.
The cabin was awesome , the view amazing and the service the Agent Angie provided was above and beyond anything expected! We were there for our grandsons wedding and had some wonderful family memories made too!
My wife and I have just recently stayed here and cannot recommend it highly enough! The views are just unbelievable especially in the morning when watching the sunrise. The cabin's location is incredibly quiet but also has neighbours a stone's throw away which we did find comforting (this is not a cabin it is a big house!). The only 2 negatives we have really are that both both beds (aside from the bunk beds) felt a bit small. With all the space they could be bigger. The other very small negative is the jets in the hot tub don't seem to work very well. We are not really hot tub people so enjoyed sitting in it now and again in the evenings watching the sun set. For those looking for that bubbly spa experience, you will not get that. Funnily enough when we filled out the guest book in the house we saw other people mentioning the same thing about the hot tub. I don't think the owner ever reads it though which is probably why. All in all a fantastic stay and highly recommend it for location, safety, view and comfort (and playing pool in the evenings!). We will definitely be back!
One of the best views we've had in our years of coming to BlueRidge. Only down side was a less than stocked kitchen. Minimal pots and pans and baking dishes. But everything else was great, beds were comfy and again, the view is amazing. You can lay in bed and watch the sunrise. Thanks for a great weekend
Beautiful views , large home in perfect area . Close enough to attractions but private also . Wifi excellent . Beds comfortable and grill and hot tub a plus . The only downfall which was minimal was kitchen . Things like veggie peeler or pie pans ect but really all in all great house . Would definitely recommend it . We had a great time
The Cloud Lodge was a perfect home for our needs. We had 8 girls on a weekend trip and couldn't have been more happy with the set up of the home, the amenities, and the views! The pictures on the site don't do the home justice! The location to hiking trails, the orchard, and the grocery store made our trip easy to plan!
Beautiful Home. Thanks for the wonderful time.
My family and I wanted a cabin where we can relax and enjoy a great view. Cloud Lodge was a great choice for us during our short stay, we were close to everything traveling with 5 kids with the youngest being 2 months. Waking up each morning to a spectacular View of the mountains was more than breathtaking especially from the bedrooms. During our stay, my family and I drove about 15 minutes to Blue Ridge Scenic Railway and enjoyed a wonderful ride to McCaysville, Georgia and Copperhill, Tennessee. There were plenty of things to do there on our two hour layover. Not too far from Cloud Lodge, there are a number of places to eat, do a bit of sightseeing and shop. Our most enjoyable moment was sending our evenings at home enjoying the view on the deck while the kids play downstairs and relaxing in the Jacuzzi. Even though our stay was short, my family and I will definitely return for a longer stay.
Our family of five just finished a 4 night stay at the Cloud Lodge. The view was just as splendid as advertised. The location is very convenient being about halfway between McCaysville and Blue Ridge. While the cabin is not as new as some in the area it was well maintained. We spent a lot of time at the cabin. The only complaint I heard was from the kids saying the beds were hard. We will try to stay here again.
