The White Owl Cottage was SO nice. My girlfriend and I spent a holiday weekend (3 nights/ 4 days) and LOVED it! Next time we come back we will make sure that it is for an extended visit! It was easy to find and even though the driveway was gravel and windy, our car had no issues and there was plenty of parking. The kitchen is fully stocked including bakeware, skillet, pots/ pans, toaster, and mixers. Everything that you need for a cozy stay in. Bedroom was very nice with plenty of space and comfy king-sized bed. Like what other reviews have stated, there is free wi-fi as well that could be used for some streaming services which was nice. (Roku) We stayed in the late fall just as it was starting to get cold outside, and we were very comfortable with the central heating and extra blankets. There is even a full-sized washer and dryer as well. A few things of note though: You are up in the mountains so you would HAVE to connect to the wi-fi there due to the signal being so bad. So, keep that in mind. Also due to this, you may want to make sure that you do your checkout while you’re walking out the door rather than outside or in the car. Be careful when taking a shower due to that the tub does not have any texture to keep you from slipping. Would highly recommend some anti-slip stickys or mat. And finally, would only really recommend that if you are staying here when it starts to get cold outside that no one stay in the bunkbeds that are located in the bottom floor. (Which is really the garage). It gets pretty cold in there. Not to mention that if you were to sleep in there, you have a very long way to go to use the only bathroom. There is plenty of room in the living room to accommodate for a sofa bed but there isn’t one. So if you were to have more than a couple staying here, it would be best to use something like an air mattress. This was not an issue for us since it was just to the two of us. But we could see it being something of an issue for larger families. All in all we LOVED it there in the White Owl Cottage and would keep it on our list as the place to stay and nest while we are in the area.

The photos simply do not do this property justice. We were a group of 7 adults and 3 children, age 5 and under. The 3 levels of living provided ample space and ability for togetherness and privacy when needed. Our entire family agreed this property offered the best long range mountain views we have ever been treated to. The home is in a gated community, but felt like a secluded mountainside retreat. Fantastic stay!

Blairsville is a beautiful place to visit with all the trails and State Park. The Bit A Trees home was very comfortable and set back on a beautiful wooded lot.
