The place was remote and quiet with amazing views. We had all that we needed. It was nice to have a full kitchen and they even left us a turkey pan!! Much needed. The show was ok, but they bed could definitely be replaced. I need a good night sleep and the mattress was just ok. We were lucky to have pretty good weather and again, I can't say enough about the views. I would definitely stay here again, with mattress replaced.
Thanks for a good time.
Hello, Michael! Thank you for your feedback. We are happy that this home was suitable for many of your vacation needs! While we understand that sleeping preferences vary widely, we are sorry to hear that the bed did not provide for a comfortable night of rest. We will be sure to follow up with the appropriate parties regarding your experience. We hope we get the opportunity to host you again sometime in the near future!

The home is older, but we love the location!
It’s very quiet neighborhood and on the shore.

Everything we wanted in a relaxing island getaway! The wood stove adds made it extra fun and cozy!

We had a wonderful time at this location, the property is pretty much what the pictures show so there should be no real surprises there.
The cabin has a loft that is not accessible to guests so if you get there and wonder why they don't mention it, that's why.
The view from the cabin is beautiful and the short walk to the beach is a dream, just make sure to stay within the property lines.
The only reason we didn't give it 5 stars is because we were really excited to use the fireplace but there was no grate inside or information regarding which way is "open" on the vent so it was a long process of trying to start a fire only to have it go out as soon as we closed the door.
It wasn't a huge deal, we were just excited to snuggle by a fire.
And in case you haven't seen it mentioned in other reviews, yes, the water has sulfur but it's really not that bad if you know what you're getting in to and plan ahead (we just bought water to drink from the local grocery store).
We definitely would come back though, the view alone is worth it.

The cabin is cozy with a nice water view through the trees. However, the water from the faucets has a high sulfur content. The old Romans might have liked the smoothing effect on their skin but the smell and taste are disgusting. That spoils everything. Beware! Also, ocean access difficult and no kayaking or canoeing or walking on shore. Disappointing!
Hi, Jens! We are sorry to see you experienced some disappointments. The beach access is on the right side of the property, and the left side is more for viewing enjoyment. We will contact the owner about solutions for the sulfur smell. Thanks!

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed here. The cabin is best described as "rustic", which is great for a relaxing vacation. The cabin is waterfront, with a rocky beach and a low-bank bluff, which is perfect for a picnic lunch.

We loved the house, view and basic comfort. However, we wish we had been told the water smelled of sulfur and even though it was drinkable we still bought 3 gallon bottles of spring water. It would have been nice if they had furnished at least one. Also, even though it was in the contract it would have been nice to have more toilet paper and a box of kleenex. The mattress is getting old and saggy. We were charged $12. for not taking the trash to the dump which we though unreasonable even though we put it in the barrel outside. Otherwise,we enjoyed our stay.

I loved the cabin and the area, there is plenty of sights to see and activities to do. Plenty of places to eat that are very good. Good local beers, Hiking, kyakking, fishing, boating etc.

Everything looks as described. The house is on a very quiet lot and the private beach is nice for a fire. Eastsound was only a 10 minute drive. Would recommend for a simple quiet stay and would stay there again.

The house was perfect for two. Very clean, comfortable, lovely view. We saw deer each time we drove up. The view from the deck was beautiful, as was the rocky beach below the house. My only complaint is that that house smelled of cleaning fluid, which took a long time to air out, and do bring your own water if you don't like the taste of sulphur. We would definitely rent this again.
