The view from your bed is divine! Everyone should be so privileged to wake up with that view. We woke up every morning to seals playing outside in the water and the bald eagles and golden eagles were plentiful. The view was just spectacular and the home had so many wonderful perks: an incredible deck with an outdoor sofa for viewing the many splendid sunsets; a very well stocked kitchen (which is not listed as an asset on the website); a Keurig coffee pot, and a 4 slice toaster. So much seating in the house and plenty of beds that were actually very comfortable. They provided wood for a fire pit outside which was fantastic and lots of Adirondack chairs for enjoying the incredible views. There were times that the peace was interrupted by the Air Force base that is on nearby Whidbey Island. They do lots of practice drills and one night was doing drills that created constant noise until 12:30 am. There was no way to sleep during that, I guess unless you were used to it. This was not a "one off" as it is something that you actually hear is annoying to the locals who live there. So if you think that would bother you, it is something for you to consider. It did not bother us except for that one night, and we just went to bed a little later that night. There was no neighborly noise or anything ever. We had absolute peace and tranquillity. So if you are a noisy person or family, best to stay away from this place. This is for peace lovers only.
