Hillside home w/ gorgeous mountain view, gas fireplace & three-level deck!

Gorgeous views of distant ridgelines and lush woodlands await at this beautiful, three-bedroom home in a gated community just outside Ellijay, where you'll spend your vacation among quiet forests, trout-filled fishing streams, and local deer that frequently wander through the yard. Whether you're a hiker or an angler, you'll love coming home to three levels of deck space where you can barbecue your fresh catch on the gas grill, dine with a view in the sunshine, or settle into a rocking chair with a good book. Prepare homemade meals using stainless steel appliances each evening, watch movies on the plush leather sofas in the warmth of the gas fireplace, and retreat downstairs for a nightcap at the wet bar before soaking away the day in the jetted bathtub.

What's nearby:
This hillside home is located six miles west of downtown Ellijay, where it's easily reached on a series of mostly paved roads. The beautiful shores of Carters Lake are 14 miles southwest, while downtown Blue Ridge - where you can hop on board the famous Blue Ridge Scenic Railway - is 21 miles northeast. You'll also be a 25-mile drive from breathtaking fall foliage in Amicalola Falls State Park (to the east) and the sunny shores of Lake Blue Ridge (to the northeast).

We rented this home last minute and were surprised that it was available given how nice and new everything was. Not to mention a very nice view of the mountains in the distant. The kitchen was very well stocked. It has two Keurigs but would have preferred a regular coffee maker instead as I only drink decaf and they only stocked it with regular. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of seating around the house if several wanted to be in other parts of the house. I loved the screened in porches. I would have given this home 5 stars except for the following: While Vacasa’s customer service is very good, they didn’t give me the gate code until 4:30 the day of check in (check in was 4:00). I had to fill out a google form twice in order for them to send it and then was told it would be sent immediately, but it took another 2.5hrs for the eM. It should be given when the reservation is made. Also, it was advertised that there are two fire pits. There are indeed two, but upon arrival they both had signs on them that read’ “out of order”. I find it hard to believe that both were broken...I think they didn’t want them used, which was such a shame as I had brought all the items to make S’mores, so a big disappointment. Lastly, there were 3 beds (1 king, 2 queens), but it would have been nice if there were bunk beds in the basement (there’s plenty of room) to allow most in your party to have their own beds. We had 2 adults, 3 teenage boys and two had to share a bed. There is a loft and a basement that have plenty of room for some type of game table (foosball, air hockey, etc). I think that would make this home much more attractive for renters. Overall, it was a nice house and a good stay and I would rent again.
Manager response:
Hi Amy, thank you for your feedback. We apologize for any issues with check-in. We do let guests know that additional registration is needed via email, that way it's finished in advance. It looks like we also emailed you the day before to make sure that we got the information as quickly as possible. We are sorry that the fire pits were not in working order for your stay. We are glad that you enjoyed the rest of your stay and we'd love to host you again in the future.
