Historic home w/ Elegant Decor, Private Courtyard, and Private Hot Tub!

This historic Fredericksburg cottage provides elegant decor and luxury amenities, including an enclosed courtyard with a private hot tub and fireplace for your next foray in Texas wine country! The home is ideal for a family or group exploring the region's famed vineyards, antique stores, and historical sites. A light, unhosted breakfast is included in your stay.

The Ransleben-Moellering House is centrally located along the antique shops of Main Street, and near the region's renowned wine tasting rooms and diverse restaurants. Barons Creek rushes through the compound, creating a tranquil environment in the courtyard, and this stunning Fredericksburg cottage is within walking distance to the famed Admiral Nimitz State Historic Site and National Museum of the Pacific War.

The historic Ransleben-Moellering House was built in the 1800s and has been restored to perfection. The home is the crown jewel of the original Ransleben Blacksmith property, which features a unique compound of eight cottages, each named after the homesteading family's children, and each reflective of the unique architecture of their period.

The historic home is stunning and pays tribute to its cultural heritage, yet provides modern updates. Breathtaking 12-foot ceilings and stone walls have been meticulously restored to their former elegance. Natural elements like hardwood floors, antique wooden accent furniture, and ornate wrought-iron bed frames are softened by dramatic blue velvet drapes, area rugs, and decorative pillows to create a space that is calming yet extravagant!

After long days in the tasting room or antique shops, your group will find the parlor a peaceful retreat to unwind with entertainment on the flatscreen TV or simply chat about the day's discoveries. The kitchenette provides simple appliances, including a miniature refrigerator, sink, coffee maker, and microwave, and don't forget about the light provided breakfast!

The space is perfect for re-heating or storing leftovers from your culinary adventures! You'll love being within walking distance to diverse cuisine, including American fare at the Sunset Grill, rich German dishes at Otto's, and Tex-Mex at Hondo's On Main.

The divine Texas bed and breakfast comfortably accommodates six guests. Each of the three bedrooms provide private spa-like baths. Two suites feature king-size beds, and the third a queen. The calming rooms are furnished much like the rest of the house with handsome wooden accent furniture and a blue grey color scheme which will instantly lull you to sleep. Elegant touches in the full baths include antique fixtures, ornate tile floors, and stained glassed windows that will make your daily routines or preparations for date night feel truly special.

Outside, a private walled courtyard provides an intimate gathering space to roast marshmallows around the outdoor fireplace or soak in the private hot tub. Uncork the special bottle of wine you purchased in town, and on quiet evenings, turn off the house lights for glimpses of the stars.

Bring your golf clubs to tee off at Boot Ranch or Lady Bird Johnson Golf Course, then spend the afternoon soaking up the region's heritage at the Pioneer Museum Complex or Vereins Kirche Museum. Bring good walking shoes to explore the breathtaking scenery at Enchanted Rock State Natural Area or wander through fields of wildflowers at Wildseed Farms.

There's plenty of tasting rooms in town to choose from, but don't miss a trip to Grape Creek Vineyards On Main, Fiesta Winery Fredericksburg, and Rancho Ponte Vineyard. Pedernales Brewing Company and Fredericksburg Brewing Company even offer libations for visitors that aren't wine enthusiasts!

This phenomenal Texas Hill Country cottage will inspire an extended holiday or weekend getaway unlike any other. You'll get lost in the history, charms, and conveniences of this stunning home and its surroundings!

The house is ideally located but private . Large and spacious baths. They did leave way more than enough towels for our 3 night stay and it was 8 of us in all including 3 kids. The hot tub / jacuzzi was ready and going when we arrived ! Cereal , coffee and muffins were left out for us. The gas lamps in-front and at the back entry were on and inviting when we arrived which felt like we were arriving to our own home .My family and I will definitely stay at the Blacksmith Quarters again as our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

I will not stay at these cottages again. Although we knew we were not promised check in until 4 p.m., we stopped in before noon and were told it would be a couple of hours, they were working on it. We were in from out of state and exhausted. We kept checking back every couple of hours as we had not place to go - I knew since I had only booked our cottage a couple of days before and I had several to chose from that there were several that would be vacant that night and since I was told by the woman at the front desk before noon that they were working on it, I felt certain we would have a room at any time. Not the 3:30 our room still was not ready, so we went to nap in our car outside the office, at 4:15 still not ready. She had told us at that time they had a guarantee that our rooms would be ready by 4 p.m. so she had to go look and see what was going on. NOW SHE IS GOING TO SEE WHAT IS GOING ON MORE THAN 4 HOURS LATER! I understand that check in time is check in time...but really, ever heard of customer service? She could have checked the first time instead of giving us lip service. In the end, they said it was going to be at least another half an hour. We asked for our money back and were then offered the three bedroom house which had likely been clean and ready all day. The house was nice, but for the less than 24 hours that we were there I only took it because it was the fastest way to get a shower and a nap since it was now close to 4:30 in the afternoon. I really think that the woman behind the counter just skates by handing out limited information about Fredericksburg and has little knowledge of much. However, she does not like the Auslander Restaurant. I heard her tell not only us, but other guests not to eat there....but everything else in town was fine. Really? Whatever. Just think she could have gotten out of her chair four hours sooner and avoided a bad review and a really bad visit for us!
Manager response:
We are incredibly for the situation in which these guests found themselves. The agent assisting them was new and will receive further follow-up training. We will also follow-up with housekeeping. Thank you!

4 besties from high school met up 16 years later at this location for a girls weekend! It was perfect and we couldn't have had a better time! The house was clean, beautiful and a great location for getting to everything we wanted to in town! Vacasa Fredericksburg staff were very accommodating and friendly!
