Gorgeous cottage w/ entertainment, close to river & beach!

If you're ready for a relaxing trip to the Oregon Coast, look no further! This lovely cottage in Nehalem has entertainment and nearby beach access for up to four guests to have a quiet, fun-filled vacation.

Located right in town just a few blocks from Nehalem River, you'll enjoy a number of conveniences within walking distance. When you want to go to the beach, just hop in your car and you'll be at beach access in Manzanita or Nehalem Bay State Park in minutes.

The house itself has a bright and clean atmosphere, with sleek wood floors and plenty of natural light. Take a seat on the leather furniture in the living room to get comfy with a book or select a board game from the collection to play with the group while you warm up with a toasty fire. On stormy days, you might watch a Blu-ray on the flatscreen TV or stream your favorite Netflix shows over WiFi.

Beyond this room is the kitchen - sunny, welcoming, and fully equipped for all your cooking needs! You'll even find extras like a slow cooker, blender, coffeemaker, and a dishwasher to make the chef's job easier. All six can enjoy a meal together around the dining table, while the breakfast bar is great for a quick snack.

On sunny days, the deck is the perfect hangout, with a patio table and furniture set among verdant trees and a gas grill for barbecuing something tasty! Grab the four beach chairs in the closet and lounge the day away.

Two bedrooms make this home suitable for up to four guests - in one, you'll find a queen bed, and the other features twin beds, perfect for kids. One full bath is nearby, and there's another half bath for convenience. A private washer/dryer allows you to freshen any laundry you may have.

This house is perfect for a small family or a group of friends - head out early with your surfboards to catch some waves at Oswald West State Park, then head to Nehalem Bay Winery for an afternoon of sampling delicious, local wines. You might enjoy antique shopping in downtown, as well. Explore Nehalem Bay by kayak or paddleboard and maybe you'll spot majestic otters, seals, and pelicans at play.

If you wish to stay away from the water altogether, you can go horseback riding through Oregon Beach Rides at the state park, or get your chi straight with a yoga class at the North County Recreation District. Plus, an abundance of hiking trails around the area are great any day, rain or shine!

Loved the hard wood floors.,beds too hard.but it was nice, town was way too small, had to drive 18 miles to deal nice in the inside

Stayed there with 2 friends, had plenty of space. When we weren’t at the beach, we spent time in the kitchen hanging out. Loved the kitchen, it was cozy & well-supplied. The main bath had been painted a soft shade of gray-blue, no longer orange like in the photos. Plenty of towels & hot water. Wished that some of the windows had curtains, but the house is concealed from neighbors by vegetation. There was a nice selection of books to read, but NO lamps!?!!? Not close enough to walk to beach access, but it only took minutes to drive to Manzanita & park. A lot less expensive than places the same size, I would stay there again!
Manager response:
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us, Carol! The owner is happy with the current curtains in the home due to the secluded nature of the home, but they are planning on looking into purchasing lamps for the home. We hope to see you again!

cozy, comfortable place in a quiet coastal town

The house was comfy and cozy equipped with everything you need only minutes from the beach the only thing I would suggest is updating the furniture in the living room. We will definitely book this house again!
Manager response:
We appreciate the guests feedback. The owner purchased two new couches for the home. The older couches have been kept for extra seating.

Little town with spacious downstairs area to visit.

Property is nice and clean but the beds need to be replaced. My wife and I couldn't sleep very well and I always woke up with a back pain. The bedroom has cheap IKEA beds and the windows are not soundproof. The main street is close to this property and it gets noisy in rain. Despite all this, the kids enjoyed their stay. Laundry, barbq and kitchen were a big plus.

The location of this house is very central to all the activities in the Manzanita area. Very clean. Very quiet. Not 5-star luxury accommodations, but has everything you need for a lengthy stay. We stayed a week and it wasn't nearly long enough. Will be back!

Great location, about 10 min from Short Beach and 20 min from Cannon Beach. Had everything we needed.

Hug point at sunset was breathtaking. Cannon just can’t go wrong. From a monsoon of rain to golden sunshine it’s all stunning. Never turn your back to the waves though.

The house was a great place to unwind and cook a good meal after get soaking wet in he rain and surprise waves.

We stayed here this past weekend with our two year old for a couple days. The location is nice and quiet, and out of the way of all the touristy areas, so you don't have to worry about a ton of people. The house is right off of 101 in a quiet neighborhood, and Manzanita beach is only about 5 minutes away. The house was really clean and had a very homey feeling. There's lots of little restaurants within walking distance and the people are nice. We would definitely stay again.

Very nice, thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. It was just the right size for my 3 adult children and I. The location was a bit misleading. It was tucked near a commercial business on a side street, I took from the pictures that it might be near the water. The house also had a strong odor of cat urine? The rest of the house was immaculate with a really wonderful layout for board games and movie watching. All in all, a good experience with a few minor drawbacks.

We just left 2 days ago and the feeling I keep in memory is " comfort". The house is really big for one family, you've got everything, a BBQ we used everyday, a rice cooker, a dish washer, very comfortable beds, fast internet, Netflix.... And just 5 minutes drive to the lovely town and beach of Manzanita.
Our stay was perfect, vacasa was fast to change the BBQ gas tank, we cooked too much fish :)

My only recommendation to improve would be to add more decoration, pictures from the incredible coast landscape would be an easy bet. And also maybe basic things such as salt, pepper, oil which don't make sense to buy for one week.

Thanks again.

The house was clean and located centrally to all the places we visited. Wanda's was a perfect way to begin your day. Lori provided an amazing massage.

This home is very clean and has a nice big deck for BBQ'ing.

Well updated inside. Not in the best location but choose it for that reason.

I had a really great experience at this house. It was clean, well maintained, in the quiet neighborhood. It is relatively close to the places we visited. We will definitely stay there again!

We were staying here for the weekend as a group of 4 friends all celebrating our 40th birthdays this year. This house was so cute & nicely located centrally along the coast and right off of 101. The house is well stocked with anything you need for a home away from home. Very well organized, very clean and simply beautifully decorated. We had a question about something while we were there and help was available & friendly when we called. We had a great experience all the way around & I highly recommend! Thank you!

Lovely home

This is a great home well kept up and clean. I stayed here by myself for business and found it comfortable except the gas stove didn't work properly for me, ask questions about operation and other than that a very comfortable place to stay! I'd recommend this for entertaining for the day/evening, staying solo, a couple, or with small children, the beds in the second room are single beds and look somewhat small for adults. (I wouldn't bring a large group of adults here overnight). I suggest asking lots of questions upon check-in procedures. There is a lock box for the keys that you will need prior to check-in.

A very cozy little house, just a five-minute drive from the beach.
Dawn C. Sep 2016
This was a clean home that appeared to be in the tail end of renovation. It was fine for our family of three. It was about a 5 minute drive to the Manzanita beach.
Manager response:
Thank you for the feedback. The owner performed some interior and exterior improvements recently to enhance the home’s cozy atmosphere.
