Things to Do in Arch Cape

Arch Cape prides itself on its quiet atmosphere, but you'll find plenty of ways to fill your days during your stay. 

• For outdoor enthusiasts, this charming town boasts an ideal location. Oswald West State Park offers a number of hikes for both experienced and novice explorers, ranging from the muddy climb up to panoramic Cape Falcon or an easy stroll to surfer-friendly Short Sands Beach. Hike down to Smuggler's Cove and the Devil's Cauldron, a popular surfing location. Hug Point to the north is considered to be a more intimate destination, with a seasonal waterfall and portions of beach that are only accessible at low tide, making for a truly isolated Oregon coast experience. 
• Explore the water a little closer up with a kayak tour on the North Fork of the Nehalem River or admire the views from afar, although make sure to bring your camera because you'll want to share the experience with friends and family back home. 
• Although you won't find many dining options or larger shops in Arch Cape, all the commercial amenities that a vacationer could need are found just four miles north in Cannon Beach. Wine bars, art galleries, boutiques, and pizza parlors are nearby, but the weekend crowds remain behind as you return home to your peaceful oceanfront rental in Arch Cape. 
• Continue heading north and you'll find yourself in the family-friendly city of Seaside. With an aquarium, Fun Center Arcade, indoor miniature golf, and bumper cars, both kids and guests who are young at heart will find it difficult to choose what to try first! Seaside is also known for its promenade, historic Lewis and Clark roundabout, and a public golf course. 
• The quieter town of Manzanita, only 10 miles away, offers a slower pace than Cannon Beach, but has amenities such as a pub, grocery store, and a few charming galleries and shops. Pick up some ingredients and then head back home to make a delicious homemade meal in the comfort of your vacation rental.
