For the ultimate waterfront getaway, stay at this beautiful Puget Sound home on Vashon Island. With a beautiful deck and gas grill, and lots of space to relax, this dog-friendly home offers the perfect retreat.

You'll have 100 feet of waterfront property to explore in the backyard of this lovely home, which is on Vashon Island in Washington. Downtown Tacoma is about 19 miles away, and you'll have the beauty of the Puget Sound surrounding you.

Inside this stunning mid-century modern home, you'll have plenty of space to relax and unplug from daily life. The spacious great room features a huge sectional and several seating areas - complete with large windows looking out to the water just steps away.

Head outside through the back door onto the large deck area, which has built-in benches for seating and lounging. There's an outdoor dining table for six where you can enjoy al fresco meals.

The backyard space also features a boat launch, hammock, and firepit for all your outdoor endeavors. Inside, dog beds and bowls are ready to welcome your family's canine friends (a small nightly fee applies for dogs). This home also comes equipped with an abundance of kids' toys and games - there's even a solar-powered doll house!

The fully stocked kitchen features an abundance of space and comes loaded with all the essentials you need to cook up a storm. Enjoy plenty of room for dining at the dining table in the open living space, plus there's the outdoor dining table for six, along with additional seating and a gas grill.

With four bedrooms and three baths, this home will accommodate up to eight guests (six adults). The three bedrooms in the main home have one king bed, one queen bed, a twin (one room has its own bathroom), and a futon in the living room. The fourth bedroom has a king-size bed and its own entrance, microwave, and a bathroom.

There's also a small daybed tucked away and room on the sofa for additional accommodations. Enjoy a private washer/dryer for any laundry needs, plus complimentary wireless internet if you need to check with the outside world. There's a small TV with a DVD player and a selection of movies in case you need to keep the kids busy on a rainy day.

The best way to experience the area is by boat! Head out into the Puget Sound and enjoy plenty of beautiful sights, from local wildlife to views of the Seattle skyline. Summertime water sports abound in this area when the weather warms up as well.

For amenities, head into town about six miles in on the island. You'll find several small restaurants and shops where you can get everything you need. Visit one of the local wineries for a fun outing, or go on a scenic hike at Lost Lake Park just a few miles away on the island.

If you're ready for a day trip, take the ferry to the mainland and explore the city of Seattle. It's about 17 miles away plus a 30-minute ferry ride, and you'll find an endless array of activities, from museums and shopping to restaurants and the famous Pike Place Market.

Amazing views literally right on the Sound. Would definitely stay again. Make sure to stop at the grocery store on the way in - there's not much on Maury Island - which was a benefit to us! Quiet and relaxing.

Loved the privacy of the deck and home overlooking a spectacular view of the sound a few feet from the deck.
The lovely property was in desperate need of weeding (knee high overgrowth). It had obviously not been cleaned under the beds/furniture in a very long time, the oven had burnt food chunks all over and had to be cleaned before we could use it, there was 1 dishwasher detergent pod for a 5 night stay, so had to go back to the grocery and purchase a bag or else wash dishes to use them, there was a quarter roll of paper towels, a light was burned out, a bathroom sink plugged up, a screen door torn, and the garbage cans were nearly full. The manager did phone me back the next day after I called Vacasa (being on hold for 15 minutes) but she said she was 2 and a half hours away and sounded frazzled, so I couldn't bear to make her come "fix" things because we could live with it and loved the place so much!
Manager response:
We did offer to bring this guest more supplies, but they declined. We have followed-up with our housekeeper about properly stocking and cleaning the home. Thank you!

Lovely property but was not well stocked with cleaning products such as garbage bags, dish cloths, dishwasher soap, laundry soap etc.

Kitchen is stocked for a Chef!!!! Bring back the weber grill.

This home was so comfortable and relaxing. The eclectic, homey decor felt lived in and welcoming. The beach front property had everything our family our family needed... kids room, pack-and-play, toys, and lots of relaxation. Vashon Island is just a stones throw and a ferry to the big city but this secluded retreat also offers a place to kick back and watch the tide roll in. Our family enjoyed beach combing, visiting the lighthouse and exploring downtown Vashon. While much of the island is rural with beautiful farms and quaint cottages, there isn't a lack of things to do. But if relaxation is your goal...this is the place!

The place was great, with views to die for. I did move the rugs and my grandma and her cane kept getting caught on them. The place was well stocked with the amenities and the fire pit outside was great.

We saw a seal and an otter from our waterfront deck. An eagle flew over too.

We simply loved this Vashon gem. We'll be back!

This beautiful large home is in a quiet neighborhood. All the amenities of home are awaiting your arrival. The accommodations are extremely comfortable and plentiful. This was an easy reservation process at a reasonable rate. An overall fantastic getaway.

This house is fantastic and has a great view! Whether lounging inside or out on the expansive deck, it's the place to relax. Comfortable bedrooms, all the kitchen amenities you could want, and a variety of games and puzzles as well. The fenced "backyard" is a nice bonus if you bring along your dog.

Loved the panoramic views of Puget and coastal areas. Nice home layout. Open floor plan and kitchen/dining area. Roomy bedrooms. Chairs in living room could use upgrade. Advertised as kid/dog friendly but night sensor lights were nonfunctional and gate wouldn't latch. No working fireplace was a disappointment as it looked so inviting. Otherwise nice property and comfortable accommodations.

Awesome place to relax and watch the seals swim by. Great place for kids (we had 3 kids - 4, 5, and 6 years old staying with us) with toys in the house and lots of rocks to throw in the water from the beach. Comfortable but disappointing that the hot tub and fireplace didn't work. Definitely NOT for someone with dander allergies since it's a dog friendly house, and you notice it.

We stayed here with another family of four and it was absolutely perfect for us. Our four girls (ages 10, 10, 12 and 12) enjoyed all of the games the house had to offer and the open space to play.
We adults loved the view and the space to spread out. The house is well appointed with everything you need to entertain for the holiday. We enjoyed a walk down to the nearby lighthouse and even spotted a bald eagle that landed on a nearby tree enjoying it's fish snack.

The house was the perfect setting for a relaxing time with good friends. We would highly recommend staying here and will be back!

Nice spot right on the water with plenty of room

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect getaway. Any utensil or pan you could think of was in the kitchen. Having meals looking out at the water, followed by jacuzzi soaking nights were dreamy.
I would recommend to anyone.

This was a fantastic and relaxing weekend getaway for our group. We could see seals swim by and greatly enjoyed the hot tub. We would definitely stay here again!

This beautiful family home was the perfect location. We enjoyed kayaking, relaxing and playing games. The kitchen was well equipped with anything and everything we needed. The owner has wonderful decorating taste and we kept discovering beautiful little finds throughout the house. Vashon is a great place to shop, hike and kayak. We will be back.
Casey A. Oct 2017
This was the perfect location for two families traveling together with kids. We had separate spaces, but great common areas for hanging out together. The view can't be beat and the beds were very comfortable.
Karey R. Oct 2017
Great location. To relax and take in nature. Vashon is charming and has lots of day activities. The home was spacious and had many amenities. For families or friend groups, great spot. Good location and home is open to having pets.
Teresa B. Aug 2017
This was a lovely house , large front room with beautiful displays of art and sculptures . A fully stocked kitchen on top of the wonderful view of the sound. A great place to get away.
A little additional cleaning would make this a 5 star.
I will come back again.

This is a lovely home with a spectacular view of the Puget Sound.
Elizabeth T. Jul 2017
The home is beautiful, comfortable and perfectly located. We had everything we needed for a long weekend. Was disappointed that we could not use the hot tub. Couldn't find chemicals or test strips anywhere. Called Vacasa for help, but got lost some where. Otherwise, the very best stay I've had in Seattle!
Manager response:
We are sorry to see this guest did not receive our message left about their hot tub inquiries. The hot tub is in need of maintenance at this time and is no longer listed as an amenity. We apologize for any disappointments this may have caused.
Jonathan S. Jul 2017
This house is great for young families of 4. Three bedrooms are co-located so you can sleep near your little ones. Fourth bed is seperated from rest of house. Might be awkward for others but worked perfect for our au pair. Only problem was the hot tub was not working. A slight bummer in an otherwise perfect stay.
Jerry P. Jun 2017
This property was very well equipped from the kitchen to the bedrooms & also had tons of toys for the kids not to mention very pet friendly! Very clean house, very well kept.
Jessica K. Jun 2017
This place reminded me why we live in the northwest. Amazing views and right on the water. The beach was great for exploring!
Gregg G. May 2017
My family and another family, four adults and four young kids, stayed at Home Port over the long holiday weekend and had a blast. There were plenty of amenities on the property and lots to do nearby. We hope to have an opportunity to stay again soon!
Juha S. May 2017
We enjoyed the property tremendously and were positively surprised by all the toys & games available for kids. We had brought stuff for our kids, but ended up putting them back into the car as our kids loved playing with all the toys/games.

My and my wife would sit outside and enjoy listening to the waves in comfy chairs. The property was perfect for us with fully equipped kitchen to cook for the whole family. Definitely worth the trip and highly recommend!
