Great space big enough for us. We did a quick walk through and checked everything upon arrival.
Called Vacasa to bring light bulbs and switches to their attention and they assisted right away.
Photos do make it look a lil bigger than what it is. We loved it, calm, cozy & quiet. No neighbors next door for most of our stay. We took sheets to cover the couches. I really appreciated the Washer & Dryer. I loved the lawn cots/chairs. We over packed but everything you need is there for your use.
I look forward to Booking that Cabin again.

This place has a great location but it really is a step up from camping. Rugs, couches, bedspreads, bath mat, and carpets are stained and dirty and any spaces in between two areas (e.g. bathroom sink and shower) don’t seem to have been cleaned in decades. We brought old sheets from home and put those on couches so kids bodies/faces weren’t touching the couches as is. One dining chair was broken upon arrival, bunks were janky and unsafe, and we killed 4 spiders on night one. Kids found the largest spider we’ve ever seen in the game room and were terrified to re-enter even after I killed it. They said “tarantula” and it was pretty close in size. We also found mouse droppings on the bed we stayed in on our last morning and several droppings in the adjacent room closet. We all walked with shoes on the entire time we were there. We did call Vacasa re the bunks (and heat) and they came out to fix the bunks and give us fans for each room right away. If some time went into updating this place, replacing couches, rugs, furnishings, and carpet, and giving it an extremely deep cleaning, it could be worth the price point based on location. Other reviews mentioned cleanliness and I should have heeded those. Location is a positive for sure but I expected a little more pride in upkeep.
Manager response:
Thank you for your review, Ember. We sincerely apologize for the disappointment. We strive for a standard of excellence in ensuring the home is clean and accommodating for our guests. We would have been happy to address any areas in need of additional attention during your stay had we been notified. We hope to have the chance to host you again!

I Loved the cleanliness inside the cabin, I loved the location, I loved the game room which was a plus, and I loved the hammock and the swing outside. The reason I gave 3 stars instead of 5 was because the kitchen was small, you could hear all the steps from upstairs in the downstairs bedroom, it was kinda hot which could of used some kind of air conditioning instead of just fans and the outside deck could of used some cleaning, it was dusty and full of spider webs. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Thank You!
Manager response:
Thank you for sharing your valuable feedback with us, Ventura. We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed the location, game room, and hammock! We apologize for the inconvenience: this home does not come with AC as an available amenity. We have passed your comments along to our local management who will work with the homeowner to carefully address your suggestions.

Had a Great time. Cabin had plenty of space, a lot of beds for a large family. Furniture was a little dated, if you are into more of the modern look. But worked out fine for us, since we were just there for the Great outdoors and the relaxation. We enjoyed Our stay, Cabin has everything you need. We would vacation there again. Thank you, Ron A.

This cabin is in a gorgeous location and very convenient to Shaver lake. The house could be very functional and comfortable but it is in DESPERATE need of a deep cleaning and update. We checked out early (thank you Vacasa for understanding our concerns) and had to find other accommodations, last minute.
Manager response:
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, Teresa. We are so sorry for the disappointing experience you had in our home and any issues you encountered. We strive for a high standard of cleanliness and apologize for any oversights. We appreciate you letting us know there is room for improvement and will work diligently with the homeowner to make any updates. We look forward to hosting you for your next vacation!

The house is obviously someone's vacation house that has been in the family for years, so probably these things go unnoticed to the owner. However as someone who paid good money to stay here these things stood out upon entry. The furniture is old and mismatched and every carpet has stains. Very few downstairs lights had working bulbs, the bathroom sink did not drain until I used a kitchen knife to pry it open. The back of the bathroom door is filthy. The first night I cooked on the range, the kitchen had quite a bit of smoke because the 1 big burner was absolutely filthy. The house has a really nice back patio facing the woods. However the paint is peeling, a lot. My son got a splinter, so definitely wear shoes. There is a new picnic table however when I tried to wipe the pine needles with my hand, I scratched it on a screw that had come through from the bottom. Also the back trash can was stuffed full from someone else's trash, beer cans and cigarette boxes. There were quite a few cig butts on the ground outside. One of the stairs was broken and a piece of ply wood had been thrown on top of it. If hadn't seen it before dark, someone would have gotten injured. The house should not be rented until this is fixed or I'm sure there will be a lawsuit. Upstairs, there are 2 bedrooms and 1 of them is filled with beds that aren't sleepable. I have a teenager that can typically sleep anywhere but he was really uncomfortable.
The nice part about the house, is all of this is fixable and it can be a really nice place to vacation. The house backs up to the woods and there are great trails that lead to the lake. The neighborhood is quiet but is fairly close to town. The lake is beautiful and we will return to Shaver Lake but this house needs work before we would consider renting it again. Vacasa was very helpful when we locked ourselves out and got us back in quickly. I didn't inform them regarding the above issues until the last day because I wanted to focus on my vacation with my family.
Manager response:
Thank you for your review, Stephanie. Maintenance and housekeeping will tackle the bathroom door, clogged sink, trash, and picnic table. The property manager will be speaking with the owner about the furniture, carpet, and back patio. We hope to see you again!

Loved the location. Had great amenities: Bbq pit, fire pit, great deck for star gazing, very comfortable hammock, fun swing and the game room was cool.

The beds were super comfy. At first we were afraid they were too hard, but we all slept great. Good location for a short walk to the lake.

Loved having my morning coffee on the back deck while catching up on some relaxing! Also enjoyed the short walk into town and the perfect little hike down to the lake...what a great weekend!

The cabin had plenty of beds and space to spread out. The pellet stove heated the cabin well.
