Right on the beach with a huge deck, big enough for the whole family. We're booked again for next year!

The home was super clean. There is a big, and I mean big table on the deck that is perfect for eating outside. The table was clean and very sturdy. We loved the view of Mt Rainier, so fun cooking outside with that view. I was pleased to see the water so calm, almost like a lake. Great for canoeing or fishing. We so enjoyed our stay and hope to come back soon.

You can make this stay amazing if you are prepared with some information. Bring everything you need for the kitchen. We ended up buying a lot of items for the home that were missing: dishwashing detergent, can opener, foil, saran wrap, wine opener, working scissors, lighter, firewood, a sharp knife. They have pots and pans and plates, but just bring the other things you require. The cabinets are packed full with appliances that are broken or on their last use. I was expecting the owner might send me some information about what would be at the house (like a what type of coffee pot? should we bring fire wood? etc but I never received any information.) For those wondering there is a regular coffee pot and a keurig machine. There were a lot of outlets and lights that did not work. We could not locate a way to turn them on. The house is hard to regulate temperature-wise. Downstairs was extremely chilly and we needed to run space heaters around the clock to take the edge off. Please note: one bedroom downstairs does not have doors (just curtains). The downstairs kitchen is basically empty of anything so be prepared to bring everything you need if you want to use that kitchen. The broken items and unworking lights became a bit of a comedy of errors for us. We really enjoyed our stay, we take our good time with us. The location is really special. We saw dolphins right outside our deck at least 3 times. It's a wonderful property. I just don't think it's geared towards guest stays. Note to the owners: the oven is covered in black residue, it smokes when you turn on the oven, (it needs to be run through a clean cycle). The telescope is broken-better to dispose of it than leave it broken and disappoint guest after guest. The downstairs closet was full of someone's clothes and full of cobwebs too. There is loud dripping in the walls (plumbing issue) that you should check into. Netflix was advertised but we did not see it as an option.
Julia, thank you for your review. We deeply apologize for the maintenance issues that affected your stay. Our goal is to provide stays that are carefree and worry-free so we are following up with our housekeeping team regarding your specific comments about the downstairs closet to ensure our high cleanliness standards are being maintained. We have also notated and relayed to our local the maintenance issues that you reported which they assured us to address–this includes all the appliances that did not work, telescope, and plumbing. On a positive note, we are happy to share that the issues with lighting have been fixed. We hope to impress you on a future stay!

Our third time at this property! Love the location and the upgrades

I needed some quiet time away and this was the perfect house! The house is nestled right on the puget sound beach front with a huge deck. We were blessed with gorgeous weather in March for our weekend getaway, so rare in the PNW! The inside of the house is super cute, clean and comfy. We will be back FOR SURE!

Beautiful view and relaxing vacation. House had everything we needed for our stay. We will be back!

A wonderful house on the water with everything you need. But the real ticket is the deck. Leave your reclining couch and find a rocker on the deck. Mount Rainier will be your backdrop as you watch for whales and seals.
This is the place is you want to sit by the sea and relax.

Relaxing and beautiful. Very clean and house

A wonderful stay- home sits basically on top of the water or close to it! Beautiful beach setting with Mt. Rainier views. The kids could run around safely. The home is on a secluded piece of property and the island really takes you away on vacation.

The house and location was absolutely beautiful! We loved having the beach right off the deck! The kids loved having every meal out there on the spacious table. The fort on the beach was so amazing! They spent most of the day playing out there. The kitchen was huge and awesome for cooking. We didn't use the down stairs kitchen much but it was beautiful. The kitchen appliances were a bit dated. The beds were not very comfortable. The bed in the master was fine but the rest need pillow toppers or to to replaced. We did have a big issue was the cleanliness of the house. The floors weren't clean which was ok. A quick sweep and mop fixed that however, the last day as we were gathering our things we realized that in the bed where our toddler slept one night and the other nights our daughter slept was a shirt that was covered in dried "bodily fluids." When you rent a place and pay the cleaning fee you expect clean bedding... the fact that my toddler and my daughter had slept with that was disturbing. Lesson learned to always bring our own bedding. Even despite that we would stay there again. The ferry ride is nice, the island is beautiful and the house was amazing! Pictures can't capture how beautiful the view was! We even saw a mother and baby deer and a fox!

The house has one of the best view of the beach and sunrise. It was calm, quiet, and relaxing place. The host even provided a welcome basket for our arrival. We hope to come back soon in summer.

Some things were outdated but it didn’t bother us a bit! We loved the house and location. We’ll definitely be back!
Hillary B.Jan 2021
The privacy of the home was quite spectacular for our small group of 6. Our kids and dog were able to roam freely without worrying about bothering neighbors. We were blessed with a clear night sky and had an amazing bonfire close to the shore, and then sunrise views of Mt. Rainier the next morning. The home was cozy with plenty of space.

Two full kitchens so it’s like getting two homes for 1!
Engin Y.Oct 2020
Almost everything was great. We stayed there as two families, total 4 kids ages ranging between 2-6. The kids loved it. The beds very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. The boat was really fun but bring your own life vests. They had only one life vest and it was for a 3-6-year-old.
I took one star off because the cleaning was subpar. Linens were dirty with visible lint/dirt pieces all around. It didn't affect us much as we brought our own linens but it was still annoying. The floors and overall house were not cleaned well. One more thing: be careful not to leave the little ones outside by themselves. Early in the morning there were coyotes around. Also, make sure to get up before the sunrise at least one day because it is amazing.

Being completely honest hear - the location is amazing. Right on the water with beautiful views. The house itself is quite large and exceedingly comfortable for our party of ten and 3 dogs. Appliances need to be replaced with ones that don’t require assistance from local manager. Also, while this might not be the norm, landscape guy came in the middle of both days and did work that didn’t seem to be urgent and shattered the sounds of the South Sound with weed whackers. Also the 10am check out is a bit rough. Most issues seems to be Vacasa management issues and not house or homeowner issues. We’d stay again.
Hi, Jeff! We are so glad you enjoyed the location of your accommodations. We have reminded staff to not visit the home when guests are present without permission first, and we will discuss a new dishwasher with the homeowner. Thank you!

Come for the deck and access to the beach. Relax.
Carly S.Aug 2020
Great weekend away, house is the perfect size for a group and the back deck is beautiful.
Chrissy C.Aug 2020
Amazing views from the deck. Many amenities in the house. Great size for two families.
Mary B.Jul 2020
House is older and is well equipped. The best part is the deck and water front. Check out short hikes on the island, Andrew Anderson’s Marine View Park, on the beach you’ll find lots of Sand Dollars. Bring your own fire wood, remember not to burn drift wood.
Leah J.Jul 2020
Our family had such a wonderful experience here. The kids lived on the beach fishing or swimming the entire time! Loved the covered deck. We would definitely book again!
Ann F.Jun 2020
So much space and such an amazing deck and a panoramic view of the south Puget sound. We saw eagles, seals, porpoise, it was just an awesome outdoor weekend!!!
Katie R.May 2020
The deck is the best part - extra large deck, if the sun is out full view of Mount Rainer, if it’s a rainy day it’s still beautiful sitting on the deck under cover. Tip: get to the ferry early
Monica B.Apr 2020
The house is so cozy and the view is unbelievable!
