However, you won't have to travel too far to experience this as you'll be located at the base of Buttermilk Ski Area, which is perfect for beginners, children, and families. Offers 21 miles of stress-free trails and it's a great place to start. If you and your group are more advanced skiers, Snowmass is six miles away and it's Aspen’s largest and most popular ski area and a favorite among advanced skiers. It offers more than 3,000 acres of skiable terrain and 150 miles of trails. Snowboarders also prefer Snowmass as it has one of the best snowboarding schools in the United States. If you'd like to experience something unforgettable and take in the views, the Silver Queen Gondola provides a 14-minute ride from Aspen to the 11,000-foot tall summit of Ajax Mountain.

I thought this room was just lovely and I liked the tastes and finishes:

1) very very comfortable beds.
2) liked the hardwood floor.
3) modern bathroom with excellent shower.
4) nice 1/2 sized refrigerator and microwave.

It faces the parking lot and road beyond but nice mountains in the distance. Not an issue at all.

Few very minor wear and tear notes that will undoubtedly be fixed when opportune (a single raised floorboard, bathroom hook(s) absent, bathroom fan not working, for example). I only mention these to underscore that this was an excellent room and even for the most discerning person it was near-perfect. The second floor was great, not far from lobby and easy access to two nearby stairwells. Also, floors stay cleaner this way.

The hotel was great. Nice digital entry personalized ski storage lockers. The restaurant was fine for a bite or drink with good food.

We are intermediate (not advanced) skiers. Really terrific ski in ski out access to Buttermilk. A fantastic mountain that was less crowded than Snowmass which we also went to (10 minutes away) but returned to Buttermilk for subsequent days.

Aspen town is 5 minutes away. Easy drive or bus or shuttle.

Will definitely come here again and try for the same room.

This is a great room! It does overlook the parking lot but I had zero issue with any noise from outside. I appreciated that there was no carpet. Very clean and nice room, nice updated bathroom. The only thing that could be a little better is lighting. One of the lights wasn't working, and I would have appreciated a little more light / brighter lights since there are no ceiling lights.
