Lodge with Sunday River sunset view, private hot tub, sauna, & deck

A destination home in every sense, this spacious lodge in Newry enjoys unforgettable sunset views over the slopes of Sunday River Resort. With waterfalls and tranquil streams within walking distance, and gorgeous ski runs and hiking trails within a short and scenic drive, this home will ensure that you relax, reconnect with loved ones, and return to nature in the purest of Maine settings.

There's no end to the year-round activities awaiting in the area - snowmobile trails that intersect with this road, Sunday River Resort only 10 miles southwest, golfing nearby, and guided excursions for canoeing, fly fishing, whitewater rafting, and dog-sledding nearby. As such, this home is uniquely positioned for relaxation afterwards, offering its very own sauna, a seven-person Hot Springs hot tub with a Bluetooth sound system, a billiard room, and a deck that spans the length of the house with majestic sunset views of the mountains. These are especially stunning in fall with splashes of colorful foliage!

The Great Room is a beautifully lit space, with windows that reach up toward the ceiling, glass doors that lead outside to the deck, and a wood-burning stove/fireplace to toast your toes as you watch Netflix or DirecTV. (There are four smart TVs in total.) The adjacent dining room has ample space to enjoy family meals, freshly made treats from the nearby Puzzle Mountain Bakery Pie Stand, and nightly board games. Added perks include outdoor games like corn hole, bocce ball, and a variety of indoor/board games. Around the corner in the kitchen, you'll find stainless steel appliances, a center prep island, and plentiful space to store your groceries and favorite provisions. A gas grill is also on hand to assist with summertime barbecues. When you want to gather for meals, the dining table can extend to accommodate at least 10 guests with ease.

Cap your days with afternoon games of bocce and stories and s'mores around the firepit before retiring to one of the five bedrooms. There are two primary bedroom suites with air conditioning - one on the first floor and one on the second floor. The other three bedrooms are split between the first floor, the second floor, and the daylight basement level. The loft provides two daybeds as well.

The Home has it all. We loved staying at The Maine Glades. An easy quick drive from Sunday River. We had 5 adults and 3 children and there was plenty of room for all. We really enjoyed the views, comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, pool table and hot tub. We will definitely rent here again! Highly recommend.

We loved The Maine Glades home! Clean, comfortable, spacious and well appointed. Beautiful views. Unlimited activities in the area (e.g., skiing, hiking, biking, etc.) and inside the home (e.g., billiards, darts, hot tub, sauna, board games, outdoor fire pit, etc.). We'll definitely rent this home again.

Our family of 12 loved our stay at the Maine Glades. It is located just a short drive away from Sunday River Resort and restaurants. We all enjoyed the pool table and darts, the hot tub, and the sauna after a long day of skiing. The house itself is new, clean, and tastefully decorated. The kitchen was well appointed. The Franklin stove in the living room was a plus! Thank you for a lovely stay! We would come back to the Maine Glades without hesitation!

As you know, the rental we booked in Bethel had an issue with the plumbing; therefore we were offered this Maine Glades. The first day it ran out of propane in the middle of the nite and it got cold. Good thing for the wood stove. It took almost the full day to get new fuel and back up to resonable temperature. (thank you for the $ reduction). However, the rest of our stay was wonderful and will be looking forward to come back next year to your Great Home in Newry. It occurs to us that if we were not there those days and not being occupied, the out of fuel would certainly have frozen the water pipes and even the sprinkler system (if it's a wet system). We were told that automatic fuel delivery has been moved to every 20 days in the winter, rather than previous 30 days. Best that you check this out. Regards, Nick N.

The house is conveniently located within a 5 minute drive to Sunday River (which you can see from the deck). There was plenty of space for us and the pool table, dart board, and hot tub provided hours of entertainment after skiing.

Gorgeous home! Amazing mountain views from most bedrooms. The large deck was perfect for watching the sunset and the hot tub was great for star gazing.

The house is tastefully decorated, very clean, and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked, plenty of seating for everyone and the wood stove/fire place was relaxing at night.

We enjoyed Grafton Notch State Park which is only a few miles down the road. We also enjoyed playing pool and darts. Can’t think of anything these hosts didn't think of. We’ll be back to the "Maine Glades" for a ski vacation!
