Received a “Welcome” email from the Vacasa (management company) Front Desk Concierge type person. She was available to help with any special requests or questions about the Mesa/ Phoenix area. Didn’t need it but it was a nice touch. What was really helpful- getting an email that the property was clean and ready to go for an early check in.
Check in: Lockbox was easy to find. Unit smelled clean and was cool at arrival. Parking was not an issue. Website photos display the unit just as it presents in person. Received a text shortly after check in to verify that cleaning met expectations. It did so that was a 5 out of 5.
Location: In the heart of the downtown area. A light rail Metro bus runs down Main Street but it is quiet. The location is the perfect jumping off point for neighboring Tempe/Scottsdale & Gilbert. There is a huge urban park directly across the street. I didn’t bring my pup but he would have loved the park. An enormous Mormon Temple is right across Main Street. The grounds are beautiful and open for a very peaceful stroll.
Kitchen: Contained the basic bakeware & spices. Most useful were the 2 different coffee makers. Unit has a Keurig pod type and an old- fashioned drip type pot. Both pods and ground coffee were stocked. Plenty of ice ready for use in the freezer which is something really needed in Arizona.
Bedroom: Closet had plenty of hangers and an ironing board/ iron. I’m not picky about beds- it was plenty comfy.
Bathroom: nice tile shower with tub. Standard shampoo/ conditioner and hairdryer. There was also an assortment of leftover toiletries under the sink similar to what I’ve found in most vacation rentals. These can really come in handy if you forgot to pack something.
Misc: extra towels and bedding in hall closet. Laundry supplies are provided. Consider bringing your own dog bed and bowls if traveling with a pet. You’ll need to watch your pup if they tend to wander as the yard is not fenced on one side. Can highly recommend Haven Burger which is next door. Don’t be fooled by the simple exterior. Old fashioned diner food - always full of City workers, Utility employees and Cops.
