Ski-in/Ski-out home in Squaw w/pool, hot tub, great location

A bright, modern interior is a highlight of this beautiful two bedroom Squaw Valley Lodge townhome. For a Tahoe ski getaway, there is just not a better location than slopeside - you are literally steps from the lifts at Squaw Valley for amazing winter skiing! And in the summer you'll enjoy a number of nice community amenities including a fitness center, outdoor pool, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, rooftop tennis courts, and bike trail access, as well as nearby hiking trails into Shirley Canyon.

Stepping inside you'll find a large living area with a cozy sectional sofa, gas fireplace, and classic design touches. A flat-screen TV with cable and a DVD player is on hand for nightly entertainment. And there's space for everyone to curl up on the couch for movie watching, talking about the day, or just relaxing in style.

The dining room and kitchen are open to the living room so conversations and socializing are easy. Stepping into the kitchen you'll find granite counter tops, a beautiful stainless steel gas stovetop, and oven, as well as all the other appliances you'd expect in a modern, well-appointed kitchen. Perfect for preparing everything from a big pot of homemade stew or just heating up leftovers from a dinner out.

Just near the dining room table, there's patio access for getting some fresh mountain air, sipping morning coffee, or just relaxing in the sun. And if you get too chilly outside, you can come back in and sit in front of the fire with a mug of hot cocoa to warm up.

The master bedroom has a queen bed, stylish furnishings throughout the room, a flat screen TV, and a large, en suite bathroom. Here you'll find a large, tiled jetted tub and shower, a built-in hair dryer, and a double sink vanity.

The other bedroom has two twin sized beds, a flat screen TV, reading chair, and plenty of room for kids, friends, or whoever shares the room to spread out and relax. With the two bedrooms and two bathrooms, there's space for six guests to sleep comfortably in this spacious townhome.

Amenities inside the home include WiFi and laundry room with washer and dryer. The great community amenities here are numerous - a parking garage shared hot tub, a year-round (although unheated) pool, and sauna. This unit is on the second level, and there is covered parking on the ground level and another unit above this one.

Ready for some adventure? The whole Tahoe area is a winter wonderland for visitors and Olympic Valley (named for its hosting of the 1960 Winter Olympics) is no exception. The lifts at Squaw Valley are really just outside your front door! You'll be able to play on 3600 skiable acres just perfect for downhill skiing and even snowboarding. And you're not even limited to one resort here, just hop on the free shuttle bus to nearby Alpine Meadows.

The Village at Squaw Valley is home to shops, spas, and restaurants. Everything from French crepes to hearty sandwiches at Dave's Deli. After skiing, lounge around a fire pit with mugs of hot cocoa or have drinks at KT Base Bar - you're just walking back to your townhome!

It may be hard to believe, but in the summer, there's just as many activities to choose from in Squaw Valley - cycling along the paved bike trail to Tahoe City (there's bike rental right at the Squaw Valley resort) or boating on the Lake Tahoe. For a great half-day hike, follow the trail down to Shirley Canyon past waterfalls and large granite boulders. The par-71 championship golf course at Squaw Creek will keep the golfers happy and for the adrenaline junkies can spend the day having a paintball tournament.

For a ski getaway with family or friends, or maybe just a summer weekend to explore Lake Tahoe, this Squaw Valley Lodge townhome is a great choice!

Location location location. We were here for the Western States 100 Mile Endurance Race and the location couldn't have been better. In addition, the layout of the condo and amenities were exactly what we had hoped. Highly recommend!

It was great, I really have no complaints. It was better than I expected, but maybe expectations were low. Place was clean, we ate out so the only appliance used was the coffee maker (it worked fine). TV worked for when we were home. I suppose maybe leave some dishwasher soap and laundry soap, that would of helped so I could of ran the machines before I left. The last statement probably doesn’t matter given covid regulations, not sure if it’s proper for the tenant to do that anymore. Anyways it was great, would certainly stay again.

Great location for a family get away! With two good sized bedrooms, two bathrooms, family room with a pull-out couch (if needed), washer/dryer, kitchen and small balcony, there's plenty of space for all. We were here in the late summer, and although the site said the pool would be closed, you could reserve a time and had full use of the large pool.

The location is just steps away from Squaw Valley Village shops and restaurants. As it was late summer, there weren't a lot of vacationers, so we had no problem making dinner reservations each night. There's also a wonderful bike trail that runs next to the Truckee River and you can ride your bike to Tahoe City in less than an hour. There are lots of places to pull over and dip your feet in the river and cool off or picnic along the way. Also, the location of the condo, nestled in the valley with breathtaking views of the mountains couldn't be beat.

We definitely would recommend this place to our friends and family.

The condo is in a great location. It is nice to be able to walk down the street to the village area for restaurants/coffee and also it’s close to the Shirley Canyon Trail entrance. The unit had all the basic essentials. I especially appreciated the different types of pillows (down, regular, memory foam) that were available. The swimming pool was open! You just have to make reservations for a time slot. It was a nice way to wind down after hiking, biking, and exploring. We will definitely return!

We stayed here the last week of December. The condo was the perfect place for our family. The condo is as advertised with the exception that it really isn’t ski-in / ski-out. A two block walk to lifts is still pretty close. Their is a nice shared hot tub, workout room and steam room across the driveway. Easy walk to village shops, ski rentals and restaurants. Coming home in the evening we were treated to a laser light show in the mountain. They have equipped the condo with the basic needs to make for a great vacation. Highly recommend.

We have stayed at many different condos/townhouses in Squaw valley. This place was super nice as it was very roomy. The kitchen was not a mini condo kitchen, but a full blown kitchen. The 2 bedrooms were far apart. I loved the fireplace. Lots of room in the living room for six people. It was very quiet. All the restaurants and shops within walking distant. Great hiking trails!! Had a wonderful time and would book again

The condo was spacious and comfortable. It was very clean and well equipped with the essentials It was handicapped accessible, which was wonderful for one of our family members,

Loved the little extras like plenty of towels and blankets, as well as kitchen basics. Clean and well kept!

This was the perfect place to stay during our Wanderlust weekend – the spacious condo, the location, the pool!

Lots of positives to this place: easy walk into the village and lifts, two good-sized bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and great common space for the young ones to run around. There’s even a little deck. Kitchen is new and well-outfitted, and it’s nice having access to the Lodge’s pool, hot tubs and workout facilities.

Great layout with all you need for a great experience. The little details made a difference from extra pillows to bath amenities to plastic bags and containers for leftovers to storage bags (else in CA you have to buy bags to carry stuff out of the store) to non-stick spray. The washer / dryer and dishwasher made it simple.

We plan to go back. The owners have really thought about what people need, from reusable shopping bags to pots and pans - to the quality of the furnishings, towels and beds . The layout is good for a family with the bedrooms on either side of the main area. The elevator up from the garage made the stay easier and we were there in the summer. I can imagine in the winter with snow gear it would be very helpful. I guess the only drawback was some noise from the tenants above us.

enjoyed our stay, squaw is great

The condo was very comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. We had a great weekend!

When we arrived, our unit had not been visited by housekeeping (despite being after the 4PM check in time). Greg offered dinner on him while the housekeepers did their thing. When we came back after dinner, the unit was as we originally expected it to be. Great Recovery!

Having rented multiple vacation condos and homes online and through brokers/travel agents, I was very pleased with my experience and the ease of booking with vacasa.com. The unit was well within our budget and the pictures online adequately reflected the condition of the unit and amenities.

The accomodations were fantastic and the location was very convenient to the base of Squaw Valley, but will need to drive elsewhere for high-end restaurants.

We loved the cozy couch, and the fireplace at the flip of a switch. The elevator made it easy for us to move things in, and covered parking was a plus too (no snow from the car to the door). We didn't use the workout facility, but the hot tub was pretty terrific. In the morning, it was a very short walk to the the first ski lift. When we came in for lunch, we ditched our gear near the entrance to the main building, and were able to walk without our gear back to the condo. It was very accessible. It was a little bit difficult to find the unit at first, but I think that was due to the excessive amount of snowfall this season. Much of the resort was hidden behind huge snow banks. We would love to go again.

We spent 5 nights in this condo in Jan. 2017 - it was just what we were looking for - very comfortable, well stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, excellent fitness area and great location in relation to Squaw Village. Loved it, highly recommend.
Dennis B. Jan 2017
Great experience. Lovely property. Right near the pool, hot tub and sauna also. Db

This is a lovely condo, but it's really NOT ski-in, ski-out. The cable TV is inop in both bedrooms and there is a lack of supplies (dishwashing soap, dish soap, trash bags, etc) It is furnished nicely and the floorplan is excellent for a family.

Great spot if you're looking to stay in Squaw

Great stay.
Ken & Wendy W. Jul 2014
When an unexpected last minute 4th of July vacation accommodation reservation wasn't honored (by another company at another location), Vacasa came through literally hours before we arrived. The property is fabulous, expensive, and luxury accommodations for our family with 4 children. The only thing lacking was ceiling fans in the bedrooms and floor fans for the living room which made the hot summer nights uncomfortable as the house stayed quite stuffy hot all night, even with windows open. Would also have liked a recycling container for cans/bottles/glass. Otherwise, everything was EXCELLENT!
Manager response:
Thank you for the feedback, so glad to hear that we were able to get you set up in a home for the 4th!
Chris B. Mar 2014
Very spacious condo and great amenities at the lodge including indoor & outdoor hot tubs, sauna/steam rooms, pool, weight room.
Manager response:
Thanks for the feedback. We're glad you enjoyed the condo and the lodge amenities! We hope you'll come back again.
Leanne Y. Mar 2014
Very nice condo, clean, up to date and comfortable. It's walking distance to the ski lifts but far enough away from all the activity and noise so we could relax, and close enough to dining so we never had to get back in our car until we headed home. If you plan to ski and want to conserve your energy though, we suggest you carry your ski boots to the lift and put your shoes in a locker (it's about a 5 minute walk -- you go across the driveway, though the main lodge & lobby, around the other lodge buildings, through the courtyard at the Olympic House and then over to the lifts).
This is a great place and we'll hope it's available the next time we head to Squaw.
Jana S. Jan 2014
We go to Squaw Valley every year. This was the first time we stayed at this condo. The floor plan was perfect for our family of four. Very clean. All the amenities we needed. Spacious, comfortable, plenty of seating and overall very convenient and relaxing. Two things are needed: a king sized bed in the master bedroom is an absolute must, especially given the price of this place at Christmas time! Also needs more frying pans (there was only one medium fry pan.)
Manager response:
Thank you for your fantastic review of your stay with us. We also appreciate your feedback about the bed and frying pans. We are always looking for ways to improve our homes and services and we will see what we can do about getting those items for the future. Thank you again for sharing your experience with us and we hope top see you again soon!
