What an absolutely breathtaking home and property! Everything was extremely clean and check in was easy. The views from the deck and living room are incredible! We really enjoyed our stay and plan on returning in the future!

Beautiful cabin, had everything we needed. Easy check in and out process. Being a winter chalet and staying in the summer however it gets very hot upstairs with no a/c, the multiple fans helped at least. Overall a great spot.

The house, location and views are so beyond beautiful and perfect . But do ask if bathroom on main floor has been repaired before committing. The Management company on the other hand was wildly unhelpful They were quick to reply , but it stopped there. There was never any follow up to our issues. I was told someone was getting back and that never happened. I had to reach out multiple times and still zero intervention for the major toilet problem. I waited 24 Hours each time before I reached back out . And nothing. We had One issue which was small , baby monitor was listed as included but was not there. No Biggie. They refunded $20. That was appreciated Our biggest problem was the main floor toilet not working My parents are elderly and cannot navigate stairs so this was their only bathroom option . Everyone else had to go upstairs or downstairs The water would continue run and toilet would not flush without manually going into water tank and placing rubber stopper back down. It was very clearly not a new issue. Each time bathroom was used we had to put our hand in the toilet tank to put stopper back down ! And honestly , that’s just not for me. I was super clear about the extent of the problem when I initially reported and no resolution was offered throughout our entire stay My last inquiry before we departed about what was being done was not even acknowledged. I was so annoyed about that . It’s a big issue and for us to be ignored and unassisted was really disappointing . I felt really bad for my parents. I could tell they were trying not to Use restroom as much as possible. So again , outside of management issues, the house , art work , views and location were incredibly beautiful.

Where is Newry, ME?

Beautifully situated at the meeting of the Androscoggin, Bear, and Sunday Rivers, the small town of Newry is tucked away among the slopes and ridges of Western Maine. The town, which is home to the beloved Sunday River Ski Resort, sits seven miles north of Bethel's natural splendor, 28 miles east of the rugged peaks in White Mountain National Forest, and 71 miles north of historic downtown Portland.

Things to do in Newry, ME

Should you plan your visit to one of our Newry vacation homes in the peak of autumn, there are few more colorful times to admire the Sunday River Bridge. Known more commonly as Artist's Bridge, this covered span on the Sunday River was constructed in 1872 and was a perennial favorite of the American impressionist painter John Enneking.

Come winter, skiers and snowboarders flock to the slopes of Sunday River, where you'll find eight interconnected peaks, 135 trails and glades, six terrain parks, and an 18-foot superpipe across 870 acres. The resort even offers a "Snow Guarantee" and backs it up with state-of-the-art technology to source manmade snow from the Sunday River.

Newry is equally alluring in the sparkling summer months, whether you choose to kayak the Androscoggin River, ride 20 miles of trails at the Sunday River Bike Park, or practice your drive at the Sunday River Country Club. The snowy slopes of winter make way for summer zip lines, scenic lift rides, and the L.L. Bean Outdoor Discovery School.
