Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying here. There is a great view of the ocean and just a short walk to the beach. The bungalow is very well maintained and we appreciated how well the kitchen was stocked.
Very comfortable, quiet and easy walk to beach. All of our favorite things!
Great location close to town and the beach. Great ocean view from the top floor. Very clean unit, comfy, spacious and well stocked.
Very clean with everything you need. Lovely home on the beach.
Was a lovely two floor, 3 bedroom home with a short walk to the beach and nice view from top floor. Master bedroom (downstairs with patio door) has bathroom connected with a nice shower. The front bedroom has a bathroom with tub across the hallway. Upstairs bedroom has access to 1/2 bath near kitchen. Overall, a cozy home with all the creature comforts. We enjoyed cooking in the full kitchen. Loved the patio hose with both warm/cool water. Was nice to rinse off our feet with warm water after a rainy cold walk on beach. Due to the two levels, probably not an ideal choice for anyone with very little kids or those with mobility limitations. Loved it and would stay here again.
We enjoyed our weekend stay at this beautiful rental in Rockaway. It was incredibly well appointed and spotless. Vacasa was amazingly accommodating. The only annoyance was not being allowed to use the gas fireplace.
We loved our stay. The view was beautiful and the home was clean and well maintained.
We had such an amazing family getaway to Rockaway Beach and staying here at the Diamond Beach Bungalow. It was our first family vacation here and it worked out very well. We are definitely already planning a trip back!
The house was a perfect layout for our group. Everyone had their own space, but the living room and kitchen was perfect for everyone to come together and relax. There is one bedroom with a half bath located upstairs with the living room and kitchen and then a master bedroom/bath, guest room and bathroom located downstairs. This was great for people who get up earlier or go to bed earlier aren't as bothered with the separate floors. The amenities, kitchen supplies and game selections were sufficient. Having a BBQ grill was also another great addition we used one of the nights.
To get down to the beach, the path right behind the house is pretty steep. After we did some exploring the first day, we found it was actually a lot easier for everyone to get down to the beach by walking down the road past a couple of houses where there is direct access. One family member is recovering from knee surgery and another has a bad knee, so this path was a lot easier (and it wasn't out of the way or inconvenient-not a longer walk). It also brought us right onto the beach where someone had already setup a large fire pit with logs.
The beach was great! Whether it is just the off season, I'm not sure, but it's so vast and very few people. At some points it seemed like we had our own private beach because we were the only ones out there.
Overall, our stay was just amazing. The house fit our group perfectly and the price was very reasonable! We can't wait to visit again! Thank you for everything!
Condo has a great view, easy access to the beach, nice and comfy beds and furniture. The only reason I didn’t give it a five is that that the kitchen was missing a few key items like a wine opener and olive oil. Usually not that big of a deal but the shopping options In Rockaway are very limited.
Very nice place. My family and I had a great time.
Clean, well equipped and super spacious! Couldn’t have asked for anything more . Thanks
We truly enjoyed this home away from home! Everything we needed and more!
Home had all the convininces you need for a family beach vacation. Fully stocked kitchen and linens. Beautiful and short walk on the beach to town.
House is very stock with everything anyone needs, great view. We had a wonderful time
This was perfect vacation rental for our Oregon coast vacation. I travel a lot for work and also produce a travel show called weekend getaways. We spend a lot of time in vacation rentals. The Diamond Beach Bungalow met and exceeded all our expectations.
From the start, on my basic level of expectations, the property was clean and everything was in great shape. It felt like walking into a vacation when you walked in. The beds were comfy, plenty of extra towels, linens, extra cleaning supplies if you needed them.
The little extras went a long way. The kitchen was stocked with almost anything you would need to cook with. Used to not having things when I arrive, we picked up some spices, and what not on our way into town. Pleasantly surprised to find a decently stocked cabinet for basic cooking which is always a plus. The board games, books and binoculars were perfect for watching whales from the top deck. The grill with an extra tank of propane was great for grilling dinner at night too.
The master bath shower is great with the tile and overhead shower head. The main bathroom down stairs has a jetted tub that was very popular after a long day of walking and hiking on the beach. The half bath upstairs is great too, just outside the upstairs bedroom.
The HD tv upstairs works great, we didn’t have any issues. There is dish network along with an amazon fire stick and I think a dvd/blueray player. We didn’t use it but there was one there. Also, the Wi-Fi works great. We had spotty cell service but the Wi-Fi worked perfect and great speed too. We had over a 60mbps down and 30 mpbs up. Better than what we can get at home.
Access to the beach was an easy and short walk. Another nice touch was the beach chairs and beach toys down stairs. The hose on the front and back porch were great to wash all the sand off before coming back in the house. Heading to the beach, we found the trail to the left when leaving the back porch was the easiest route. The beach seems to go on forever. I ran in the mornings and ran over a mile and a half in each direction. The beach never seemed crowded even in the middle of the day when the sun was out and blue skies. What a great location!
We did spend part of the trip heading down the coast line. It’s an easy drive to head to Pacific City or even down to Newport to the aquarium. Tillamook is a close 20-30 minute drive too. This has nothing to do with the property but a tip when staying here, pick up groceries and supplies while in Tillamook, the local stores in Rockaway don’t have much to offer. We were able to find aloe vera at the dollar general just up the road.
We could not recommend this property enough. This is our new vacation spot for the Oregon Coast. There is enough to do from the property, it’s worthy of putting in our travel show.
Just a couple notes for other vacationers:
*There are placemats and coasters under the bar side of counter. There is a cupboard on that side for the table.
*Don’t worry about the railroad tracks between the property and the main 101. They are only used twice a day for a tourist train from Girabaldi and Rockaway beach. There isn’t any train traffic to bother you while you’re sleeping.
This place is in a great location. The view from the living room deck is amazing and has great sunsets. Any thing you would need in the kitchen is there. The place was very clean and roomy.
Diamond Beach Bungalo is a beautiful home and we really enjoyed it. Our only problem is that there is no easy beach access for my disabled daughter. If we had thought to inquire about this there would have been absolutely nothing to report on except for the beautiful view and the perfectly accommodated home.
