Gorgeous lake views, spacious deck, near Pacific Crest Trail

You'll fall for this lake view Donner Lake vacation rental for 11 lucky guests. With so much to do on the property and in the surrounding Truckee area, you'll never want to leave!

You can admire the view of popular Donner Lake right from this home's spacious patio. You'll also find public docks, fishing, mountain biking, hiking on the famous Pacific Crest Trail, and more outdoor activities - you'll probably even forget that you're conveniently close to Interstate 80 and historic downtown Truckee. From here, it's under 20 minutes away from some of the best Lake Tahoe ski resorts. If you want to play a little tennis or soak in a hot tub, visit the nearby recreation centers for a small fee.

As you step inside, you'll be delighted by how the woodland theme is carried into the home through its furnishings and decor. And while this definitely has a rustic lodge feel, it also boasts modern amenities like WiFi and three flatscreen TVs.

The upstairs living room is illuminated by natural light streaming in from the sliding glass patio doors and reflecting off of the wood paneled ceilings. Gather here for morning coffee or evening cocktails on the comfortable couches. Feel free to share a movie here, too!

Guests can cook or hang out in the kitchen and dining area without being left out of the living room fun. The fully-stocked kitchen includes everything you need for a home cooked Sunday brunch, including a blender, mixer, and waffle iron! By a cozy dining table, you'll find a basin for chilling a few bottles of crisp Sauvingon Blanc.

All 11 of you can sleep snugly among the four bedrooms. Two roomy sleigh beds, one a king and the other a queen, will inspire dreams of sledding and tubing. The master bedroom upstairs also includes is own TV. One room holds a twin bed alongside a double, which is great for parents and kids to share. Downstairs, you'll find another room with bunk beds (perfect for kids), which could incite a friendly competition to decide who takes top.

In the family room, you'll find another sliding glass door to a lower deck area hugged by majestic evergreens. Plus, there's a third TV for late-night viewing and a futon for even more sleeping options.

There are three full bathrooms accessible from all areas of the home. And with a double sink by the master bathroom, you can each have your own little spot. For those sleeping on the futon, there's even a bathroom just off of the family room. If needed, you have a washer and dryer, too.

You'll love the stellar patio! Fire up the gas grill for a Memorial Day cookout, then warm your hands by the portable outdoor fireplace, surrounded by unbeatable views of the lake.

Outdoor activities are as bountiful as the natural beauty surrounding this getaway. Hikers will be pleased to have a chance to step onto a portion of the Pacific Crest Trail, a route that spans over 2,600 miles, with entrances accessible by car about 10 minutes away. In warm weather, take a walk to the North Shore of Donner Lake, which is lined with one-and-a-half miles of public docks. At the Donner Lake Marina, a four-minute drive along the lake, you can rent a motorboat or jet skis.

Action seekers will want to visit ski resorts Northstar and Sugar Bowl, each about 15 minutes away by car. You'll also like learning more about this historic area with walking tour of downtown Truckee.

Experience a different side of the lake at this North Lake Tahoe vacation rental for an unforgettable getaway in fun and vibrant Truckee!

This home was absolutely beautiful, and the location was out of this world! It came equipped with everything we could possibly need for our 2 night stay. With 11 people we were worried about how packed it would be, but the bedrooms accommodated us perfectly. One of us forgot our crockpots and we were pleasantly surprised to find that there was an extra in the house. There were plenty of linens and toiletries, the house was wonderful down to the very last detail. I would absolutely recommend this home for anyone looking for a beautiful mountain getaway with amazing views and cozy accommodations.

The house is very clean. The towels were brand new. Overall very comfortable for a family of 5. The location is convenient, but very noisy. Really close to HWY 80 and hard to sleep at night with the windows open since no AC. A lot of stairs to get to the main level of the house. Kitchen is old and appliances are very outdated. Overall the house needs some renovation. Grill on the deck is really old and barely functioning.
Manager response:
We appreciate this feedback and are very happy to hear this guest found the home to be clean, well stocked, and comfortable. The owner loves her home very much and has been making updates as she is able. Although the appliances are older, they still work well. Thanks!

It was a super fun time in this cabin... Me and all my friends had a blast and will definitely be coming back, great price with great view and a very roomy cabin.

We are excited to come to this cabin pictures looked good " professional so made it look nicer then actual " we were 2 families 5 kids , the road leading to the cabin was like going pass junk yards with old cars, roads not finsihed, junk laying around. We got to the property and the drive way you can literally fall if not careful . not clean in front of house overall just needs to be redone the front of the house looks like it should be the back of the house, terrible architect.
everything needs an update its like being in the 90's ...
(good size family room)
water heater after one person took a shower , water was freezing cold
at night you can hear the noises loud noises like wood cracking scared the kids and some adults. we stayed one night and took off and didnt stay the other night.
anyway price was ok but not worth what i paid at all.. good luck..and everyone
has different taste so you may like it or not.

We loved this property. The deck is idyllic, the common area upstairs perfect for just hanging out. The bedroom setup is nice as the upstairs and downstairs rooms are quite separate; it allowed our two families to have plenty of space. The location is great, quiet and convenient.
The supplies though seemed quite lacking. While the cupboards are packed full of things, it’s missing some useful pieces, like oil or cooking spray. A fancy coffee maker looks great on the counter-until you attempt to turn it on and find it doesn’t work. Lots of utensils but not high quality: I attempted to peel a cucumber and the peeler bent on the first try. Closets are cluttered with random items and each drawer seems to have some miscellaneous item in it. So while we love the house, I’d like to see some better care and intention put into it if we were to visit again.

We've stayed in Lake Escape twice, both winter and summer. The cabin is comfortable and inviting, with tons of space. The view of the lake is amazing! We will definitely return!

14660 Denton Ave is a beautiful getaway with excellent access to the surrounding wonderland of Donner lake and the Tahoe area.

Really enjoyed the spaciousness and the facilities. Freeway noise degraded the ambiance as did the wires across the view, which did not show in the photos. on line. Property nice, location iffy.

We loved the view of the lake unfortunately that also meant being high up close to the highway but small price to pay for the view. We stayed in summer but I would imagine it would be difficult to get to in heavy snow. Great house unless stairs are difficult for you. We loved staying there
