Located right in the middle of Manzanita, with the beach on one side and Manzanita City Park on the other, it's easy to wander leisurely from this rental to the beach or into downtown Manzanita for a bit of window shopping or dining.

Minimalist in its interior design, and surrounded by a lush garden and a lightly wooded scenery, this home emphasizes its location and outdoor wonders with plenty of windows and soft furnishings. An open floor plan makes the home spacious and well-lit.

Entertainment amenities abound here, with WiFi to check email, cable to catch the news, Netflix streaming for the newest episode of your favorite show, a Blu-ray DVD player with a selection of movies to choose from, an iPod dock for soft background music, and board games for late night fun. The warm living space is made cozier with the wood stove.

Get cooking in this well-appointed kitchen with all the necessities provided, including a blender and a mixer for smoothies, cookie dough, or homemade salsa. Dine at the table inside, or out on the private back deck, great for sunbathing. A small gas grill makes for a fun cooking addition.

Up to five guests will sleep soundly in this home with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The downstairs bedroom has a full bed and a twin, plus a sofa for reading by the natural light streaming in through the windows. This is a great room for a small family unit to share.

Upstairs a queen bed sits in a wood-paneled room with a private desk area for anyone who needs to get a bit of work done, or wants to write in their journal or pen a postcard to a loved one. One dog may join the fun for an additional pet fee. A private washer/dryer keeps your packing light and your clothes fresh mid-vacation!

Head down to the beach with sand toys, umbrellas, and a cooler full of sodas and sandwiches. Bring a ball or a frisbee for the furry friends to chase, and a kite or two.

Enjoy tee time at the Manzanita Golf Course on the south end of town. Visit Nehalem Bay State Park a mile farther south, or Oswald West State Park about four miles north for a beautiful hike. Take the scenic Highway 101 north about 14 miles to Cannon Beach for a day trip to Haystack Rock.

Family and friends will reconnect, laugh, and share memories in this beautiful Northern Oregon Coast vacation rental.

Less than 5 minute walk to the beach or to town. Well stocked kitchen and lots of beach toys, books, board games etc. for when you are inside. The house is older and could use a little maintenance, but everything is very clean and useable. If you want a shiny new place this isn't for you. But this is a great older place at a reasonable price.

Manzanita is one of our favorite places on the Oregon coast. This rental if about as conveniently located as it can be. It's two blocks to the shore and three blocks to the main street. The house shows some of its age, but it's comfortable and the large windows make it light and inviting even on gray, rainy days, which is mostly what we had. If it were sunny, the front porch and the deck off of the master bedroom would have been a fine place to sit. While there were only two of us, the house has room for 4+.

We loved the location and the home itself suited our family of 5 (but our 12-year old son needed to sleep in master with us due to layout), with our young dog. Renters hould always know that when using VRBO to rent something, you see the owner's rate to rent, and then when you finally check-out or confirm everything, then comes the "sticker-shock". About $925 for just two short nights here and it is very rustic. No dishwasher, non working toaster, very dated fixtures, appliances, cabinets, etc. True cabin. Also, as we loved the fact that back yard was fenced for our pup, it is way overgrown so if you're bringing a small breed dog, beware that he/she will be lost in the "jungle" in back yard. Also, bring your own laundry detergent as there was none for us.

Very well equipped cabin 2 blks from beach. Manzanita is a jewel of a small beach town.

I loved the porch and the location. And the hummingbirds that enjoyed the shrubs in the back.
Sam Y. May 2018
The location and deck is great, as was the yard for our little dog, but there were things that weren’t so great too...

This cabin worked out great for the two of us and our dog. The fenced in yard was nice and the layout of the place is so that you can close a door to the hallway and half of the house would still have a bathroom, bedroom, and a separate entrance to the backyard. Plus it's a quick walk down one street to the bus. Hope to stay here again!

This house was perfect for our weekend getaway - close to the beach and restaurants, we didn’t have to drive at all. The house was warm and welcoming and we are definitely planning on returning!

We had a great 3 eves at this Vacasa site. It was spacious for just the 2 of us and easy access for opur aging dog. LOvely and clean and cozy and warm. May need to check washing machine which did not seem to get through the cycles well.

The house was comfortable and clean. Great proximity to beach and town. Well stocked kitchen. Comfortable bed.
Stephanie M. Jul 2017
We wanted a place close to the beach and the City Park, so this was perfect.

Great beach cabin close to beach and town. Not the picture of modernity but perfect for a sandy beach vacation. The review says it can sleep 8, but I think that would be a stretch. We had two adults and two kids and that was about what the house can hold.
Manager response:
The maximum occupancy for this home is 5. Thank you!

Wonderful house, well decorated and amazingly stocked. Perfect location. One block to Main Street and 1 block to beach.

Comfortable, spacious, very easy walking to the beach and shops. Just needs a couple of minor items addressed to earn a 4 or 5 star review.

Great location in Manzanita. House is cute and perfect for a family of four and a dog!

Modestly appointed appealing cottage with a great location, plenty of room for us 2 and our fairly large dog. Great value for those that don't need luxury but want to stay near the hub in Manzanita in a clean and comfortable small house. Would stay there again.

Property was in a great location and is perfect for two couples. Electronics were dated.

The house's location was great and it was very comfortable. We had every we needed.
Melinda W. Jul 2016
Being so close to the beach was my favorite part! It was so easy to go back and forth and pack things. The shops were also just a block behind us. The Mexican restaurant in town was delicious!

Great location

Great little house just a couple blocks away from the beach. Yes it has a lot of character, but it also needs a thorough cleaning. Lots of dust, cob webs upstairs and downstairs.
Margaret R. May 2016
This is a charming small home in an excellent location, very easy walk to shops, restaurants, and the beach. The upstairs "captain's cabin" style bedroom is adorable. We enjoyed our stay, and the house is a good value.
Megan W. May 2016
This is a wonderful location - cannot be beat. A block from the beach and two blocks from the main street in Manzanita. We had a great weekend because of this and loved the trip, but the property is pretty dated. The upstairs bedroom is finished in plywood and just a little creepy. Some new linens, dusting away of the cobwebs and a coat of paint could make a world of difference. The older bathroom in teeny tiny and my 6'+ husband could not stand-up straight in the shower. There is a new shower, but that bathroom needs some attention because there seems to be a mold/mildew problem and we just shut that door for the duration of our stay. The back deck is really lovely and even though you don't have a beach view, you hear the waves and the back yard is so pretty (beach brush and trees, very naturally beautiful) it's a delight to sit outside with a good book. Overall we still had a great stay, but we generally expect more from Vacasa rentals. So go, have a great time and enjoy the location, but just know what to expect.

Walking distance to everything. Comfortable space.

This single family residence fit our need for a convenient location to meet family for a Christmas celebration. We knew from the reviews [online] that the property was dated but was disappointed at how dated the kitchen, up stair bedroom, and small bathroom turned out to be in person. We didn't feel this house was worth the money we spent for our three night stay.
Manager response:
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We are sorry to see that you were disappointed with the age of the home. We hope you enjoyed the short walk to the beach and were able to gather around the wood stove on a night in!
Lisa C. Nov 2015
We enjoyed our time at the cabin. It is small and funky with an older part and a newer addition. It is very close to the beach in a quiet neighborhood of small houses. The location is good for walking around all the downtown Manzanita shops and restaurants. The house does not have very good cable service which some people might want. Otherwise, it had nice/comfortable furnishings. Hopefully, the owners will invest in some air sealing so that there is not so much air leakage into/from the attic and walls, though we were comfortably warm enough.
Gerard S. Nov 2015
Great , relaxing place a few blocks form the sea and within walking distance of shops and cafes in Manzanita.
Catherine H. Sep 2015
We enjoyed our stay here.
The location is great, just very short walks to the awesome beach and the charming little town. The house has all you need for a comfortable stay. Note that the front of the house is very old, while the back is an added-on master bedroom and bath. Lots of light and new windows throughout. The deck is great and so is the new BBQ. The WiFi was not functioning, so if this is important to you, you might want to investigate this further.

This house is a very comfortable place to be. Kitchen was very well equipped and organized. Beds were very comfortable. Everything in the house was in great working condition. Convenient to the beach and downtown. Easy to walk to everything. There is also a great park just a few blocks away with playground and tennis courts. Would definitely stay there again.
Leah K. Jun 2015
We had a terrific vacation at the Downtown Cabin. The location was just two blocks from the long beach and two from downtown, so convenient! Our kids loved the place, the proximity to the park and the beds were very comfortable: a must-have for tired parents! Thank you for a great place...we will certainly be back.
