The house was everything it said. Very comfortable, clean, and well laid out. I will be booking again next year.

Plenty of room for privacy & group settings. We BBQ’d & made at least one meal every day in that beautiful kitchen. There’s plenty of dishes, utensils, & cooking pots & pans. We went to the beach (not far away) & made s’mores! We visited Seaside, Tillamook, Astoria, & Warrenton. We love the Oregon Coast!

Dog friendly flooring with small dog run and dog door. Well- appointed kitchen. Very clean and pretty. Short walk to the beach. Downstairs is really a fully separate living space which is perfect with teenagers or multiple families!

Loved this spot. It’s a 1/2 mile to the beach and very quiet. The house was very spacious and had plenty of room for 7 people. It even had some beach towels and a couple chairs. Only reason for 4 stars is that the basement was a bit musty smelling and the yards were all weeds and not useable. All in all a great place but I might search for another place in the same area for next time first.
Manager response:
Julie, we are so happy to hear you enjoyed your stay! Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. We apologize for the condition of the yard and the smell in the basement. Our local manager is currently addressing both issues to ensure a comfortable stay. We hope we can host you again! Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay--house is spacious, the beds comfortable, and the flooring pet friendly. We called the charming back yard "the secret garden!" Located in a lovely quiet neighborhood with shingled homes and trees; easy walk to beach and town. There is an enclosed small dog run; the back yard is mostly enclosed but has an open side by the carport. Our only wish was that it was totally enclosed to keep kids and pets in and off-leash neighbor dogs out. Otherwise would not change a thing.

Loved the location of this house. There is a community trail adjacent to the property. We walked about three blocks through the neighborhood on the path, to the bakery. The grandsons loved the adventure. We also were able to drive our 4-wheel drive rental onto the nearby beach for a family bonfire. The house is comfortable and nicely decorated, but not so fancy that we had to worry about the little boys messing anything up. We had three couples, two grandkids and one grandma with us on this trip. Everyone had plenty of space. The kitchen had everything we needed to put on two big family dinners at the large dining table. Gearhart Oregon is a special place and this home allowed us a great homebase to explore the coast from. Thanks for sharing your house with us.

House was very clean and fully stocked of everything we needed. We have zero complaints. Close to town and beautiful quiet setting. You could hear the ocean while sleeping :)

My family had a great time in this's like 2 houses in one so it suited our needs perfectly. My only small complaints are: several lights were burnt out and needed a new light bulb, cleaning in the guest bathroom needed a little more work and there was no water pressure in the kitchen sink was pretty low too. The house is a nice walking distance from the beach and the little town area...we walked everywhere, which was nice.
Manager response:
We are sorry this guest had to keep a list! We’ve gone through the home to replace any burnt out lightbulbs, as well as scheduled a deep clean for the home. The owner has arranged to have a plumber check the water pressure issues soon.

We had a wonderful week in Gearhart. The home was beautiful, centrally located, the weather was amazing the entire week and we couldn't have been more pleased! Thanks Vacasa for another fabulous week on the Oregon Coast!

We loved our stay. Two families, with a total of 8 adults stayed and we all loved the house. The walk to the beach was pleasant and not difficult and being set away from the beach made the house seem even more peaceful.

Was a nice time. Rental was as expected, in a very quiet area.

This home had a great lay out for us and our three adult children and small dog. We loved the outdoor area for our dog a lot! We could walk to the beach and charming town of Gearhart and the drive was very short to the quientessial town of Seaside. We enjoyed the deck (would be great with a table and chairs) each evening. The TV's were smaller than we are used to, and there were none in the bedrooms. The beds and linens were not the quality we were used to and the kitchen, while large, just didn't have the items we needed to fix a taco meal for the 7 of us. There were two coffee pots, neither worked well. How about a new, well working coffee pot for that good cup on the deck on those beautiful summer mornings? We will consider renting this house again, but I will search well before making that commitment. I want a clean house, a good nights sleep and beautiful location. This house kinda delivers but it would take just a little more to make it an absolute gem. I hope this is helpful.

Would stay again.

We stayed here with 4 couples and a 7 year old child as well as our Labrador. One of the couples were my parents, who were 90 and 94. We had planned on razor clamming but alas the clamming was closed. We played games and the weather was good. Appreciated the grab bars in the bathroom and the railing on the outside stairway. Having the downstairs was a plus, enabling people to spread out as needed. Loved being able to park cars and unload easily especially to the lower level. Thank you. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

This house was perfect four our group of 7 (three couples and one single). With four rooms, everyone had their own private space. It was spacious with a well-functioning layout and a big table for playing games. The location is convenient - four blocks or so from the beach and a quick drive to Seaside. There is also a cute cafe and grocery store within walking distance. We enjoyed our time and would definitely stay again!

Spacious home that could be a great beach vacation home with some tweeks to the furniture and heater. Hope to see it become more multi-generational friendly.
Kay T. Aug 2016
This house was very good for multi generations with bedrooms and living space on both floors. The kitchen was very functional. We all had a good time.
Heidi F. Aug 2016
The house was perfect for 2 different sets of friends to spend time. Within a couple of hours, all friends were co-mingling as if they knew each other all their lives and the house was perfect for everyone to hang out and get to know each other.

Great place to stay. Nice location for quick trips to Canon Beach, Seaside, Fort Stevens and Astoria.
Audrey W. Apr 2016
Enjoyed our stay for the most part, very accommodating home. Our issues were mostly with Vacasa. Deck wasn't cleaned for use, jetted hot tub didn't hold water, Soap, d/w detergent was not enough.
Manager response:
We are sorry to read about the disappointments experienced during this stay. The Property Manager will make sure the deck and jetted tub are guest ready, and housekeeping will make sure the home is properly stocked with supplies. We would love to see you again!

This is a very comfortable vacation house. It's not right on the beach but few are in Gearhart. Quiet street, next to a great walking path, and plenty close enough to the ocean.
Sets up well for a large group if you want to separate the kids or two couples since it has 2 bedrooms and a full bath on each of the two floors.
An unusually well stocked kitchen, plus a wet bar.
We ranged in age from 15 to 77 and everyone loved it.
Dog friendly.

This house was lovely and just what we needed for our getaway. We cooked, rested and enjoyed the location. (The crabs were a bit overwhelming for decor, but since that's the name, that's the game.) While it was quite a drive from PDX, once there, the home was peaceful and serene. Many thanks!
Gabby D. Aug 2015
Kitchen is well appointed and the house is spacious and comfortable for 8 people in beds plus one more on the sofa in the den downstairs. Our only complaint is that the air conditioner wasn't able to cool the house adequately. But it's typically cool enough at the beach that opening up the windows is a better option anyway.
