Rang in the new year and my 40th bday in this unique house in an amazing location. Enjoyed ourselves fully.
Our experience here was great. Trinidad is a beautiful place It was clean and quiet. I would definitely recommend this place.
We had kids and grand kids with us on this trip and it was a perfect spot.
We rented this house as an extended family for a destination wedding and it exceeded our expectations! The setting was so relaxing and accessible to a fantastic beach and the town of Trinidad. Although the neighbors were less than friendly, once you are nestled away in the home, it is spacious and tranquil.
I reserved the Paloma Creek Lodge for a family vacation, and everybody agreed that it was the perfect place to stay. It was spacious, comfortable, well supplied with kitchenware and the beds were very comfortable. The game room and TV room were wonderful gathering places for a relaxing evening after enjoying the beautiful town of Trinidad. There is a beautiful trail that leads to the beach at Trinidad Bay. Management was great to work with and we enjoyed the whole experience. I think everybody had as much fun at the house as they did exploring the Redwoods around it. All around great place to stay!
What a beautiful house with lots of windows! Great for our family of 5 but could fit more people comfortably! Ping pong table was a lot of fun for the whole family. Walk down to the beach is right out your door and great exercise! We even saw sea lions! The road down to the house was fine to get down as well!
Moonstone Crossing winery is a must stop! We ended up sending a case of wine home!
We loved this house with beautiful redwoods all around and wonderful little paths that take you to surprise places to sit and visit. So private, yet you are actually in Trinidad, easy to walk to the market, or around town. Loved the beach, loved the trail to the beach, the house was big and beautiful! This is a wonderful place for a family to gather together.
The house is big with plenty of room, as advertised. Good location in the trees, especially the forest in the back. Nice garden/grounds in the back with two trails to private decks. There is a path to the beach in front of the house, nice walk down, a little tougher coming back up. great for families with kids, had a game room and a hot tub, close to National and state parks and great local brew pubs.
Location (walkable to the beach, the market, shops and restaurants), convenience, beautiful grounds, birdsong, outdoor as well as indoor spacious privacy, hot tub and ease of communication with gracious staff made our 10 day stay one of our best family vacations ever. We hope to one day return for a repeat!
Great house, great location!
This is a wonderful home for couples and families. Keep in mind that if you have young children the master is a bit removed from the rest of the house but there are three wonderful bedrooms downstairs one of which can easily be a second master. The house has plenty of trails nearby as well as wonderful restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance. The kitchen is well stocked if you would rather stay in a cook and there is a large outdoor patio with a grill. The company is super professional and very thorough both in cleanliness and in assisting you with all questions and points of interest. There is a pool table and a football table in the game room which we thought we would use. However the outdoors was just too gorgeous to leave early and after hiking all day we usually wend to bed earlier than usual. The stay and countryside was super relaxing and we returned to the city fully recharged. There is some discussion in the reviews about the road - it's pitted and gravel/dirt however if you are careful and follow the 5mph speed limit just about any car can get in and out of the driveway which is well maintained and has plenty of room to turn around.
The Paloma Creek Lodge is a charming vacation home set in a quiet place surrounded by beautiful trees.
Trails from the house to an overlook of the bay and down to the beach.
This home is very clean and well maintained.
We ate at Seascape restaurant and Lighthouse grill. I highly recommend both.
Check out Moonstone Beach.
The folks at Redwood Coast Vacation Rentals did an outstanding job.
Wonderful, relaxing vacation for our 3 families (Grandparents & families with little kids). Each family had private sleeping area. Large dining table. Lighting in dining could be brighter. Living room had good seating, nice tv, and plenty of room for kids' toys. Enjoyed the game room & hot tub. House provided lots of towels & amenities. Quiet, secluded location. Great trail to beach. Only complaint: Road to house is pretty bad with giant pot holes.
Place is great. The road to the property is very bad with enormous potholes. It is extremely dangerous . The road needs to be repaved .
We had a fabulous family stay! We definitely recommend Paloma Creek Lodge and look forward to coming back again!
Our family enjoyed staying at Paloma Creek and hope to return next July. The house has plenty of room to spread out along with a very cozy living/gathering space. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed cooking meals together. The seating on the deck is an added bonus. I appreciated the easy access to hand towels and blankets. We needed to pick up a few items and Murphy's Market is a quick 5 or 10 minute walk away. We were also able to walk to restaurants and the path to Indian Beach is right outside. The grounds are lush and beautifully kept. We enjoyed sitting around the fire and roasting marshmallows. We also enjoyed playing pool - although the pool table is a little worn. In the past we have stayed at homes with an Oceanview. While this home does not a view of the ocean, it is top notch being secluded yet close to everything. Trinidad is always a wonderful place to visit and staying at Paloma Creek definitely added to the enjoyment of our trip.
Our whole family loves Paloma Creek Lodge, especially the young people and children. Hidden away on a hillside, we feel far away from the crowds, yet our children can easily walk to Murphy's market. They love the spa, ping pong table, pool table and copious televisions throughout the house. The big deck is a delight for barbecuing, eating and playing cards. It's our favorite Trinidad rental.
The setting was amazing and the home made it the trip so easy to relax and enjoy!
We loved the house. It had a lot of space and the setting was a gorgeous! It was a short walk to the beach. We had 8 people in the house and 2 in the cottage. We loved the hot tub and pool table. The game room is large and comfortable. The only negatives would be the lighting is not great and there are only 2 showers total!
My husband's family and I met up for a week in the woods. It was about 30 minutes to any activities including the "Redwoods", but you really don't have to get in the car! The house is surrounded by Redwood trees and you can walk to the grocery store within 10-15 minutes. The house at a 70s vibe, which we thought was nostalgic and fun. A few negatives: The drive way is terrible! Steep and rocky! They tell you there is a Nintendo of some sort, but there are no games.
All and all loved it and had a great time! Thank you!
