Located in a charming hillside neighborhood, this home is across the road from Manzanita Beach and tennis courts at Hallensted Park, and it’s within less than half a mile of great restaurants and boutiques along Laneda Avenue. Start the day off with an invigorating beach stroll then rent stand-up paddleboards to explore nearby Nehalem Bay. Finish the day indulging on fresh Willapa Bay oysters and a fine Oregon microbrew while listening to local musicians at the Sand Dune Pub.
Bright and spacious with large rooms, panoramic views from numerous windows, and coast-inspired decor, this tri-level home is a welcoming retreat from the stresses of everyday living. Enjoy a cozy day indoors with comfortable seating affront a cable TV in two living areas, gather your group for an afternoon movie (there is a DVD player), or plan your adventures using the home’s WiFi. Head into the upstairs loft to relax on the couch and let the gorgeous coastal views - assisted by a telescope - melt away any stress. Choose a book from the small collection and settle in during a downpour, or break out a fun board game to play with your group.
When it comes time to eat, cook local Dungeness crab cakes, fresh-caught salmon, or other coastal fare using stainless steel appliances and a variety of cookware in the full kitchen. To enjoy group meals, choose from a six-seat wraparound counter, a four-seat dining table, or a spacious outdoor deck. There’s even a gas grill, so have a barbecue during your stay!
After a full day of coastal activities, retire for restful sleep in any of three bedrooms, plus a loft space. Up to nine guests (eight adults max, please) are accommodated on one king bed, two queen beds, one double bed, and one twin bed. Modestly furnished and full of light from picture windows, the bedrooms are quiet and peaceful places guaranteed to deliver a great night’s sleep!
Wake up well-rested and ready for new adventures. If you like to surf and you’re in the mood for a fun day trip, head just five miles north to some of Oregon’s best surfing at Oswald West State Park. Close to the beach with easy access. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and plates. A place to come back to.Quick walk to the local park for kids to play. Wonderful sunset views.
We enjoyed the beautiful beach a d surrounding area with our children and grandchildren. The home had plenty of sleeping areas and the wifi helped us do business while enjoying our vacation. The deck was lovely to relax and eat on and the home was well appointed with kitchen and bath items.
Everything nice, beds comfy, good views. The one drawback is lots of stairs, and also a bit narrow going up to the main living area. Location is good and not too far from the main street of Manzanita. We would stay again!
Easy walk to downtown, but because it's on the south side it's also easy access to the quieter part of the beach. House has a nice open layout (no real privacy except in bathrooms and two downstairs bathrooms.) Light and airy feel.
Beautiful home with great ocean views. Beds were very comfortable and we could listen to the surf as we fell asleep and woke up. Wrap around porch with lots of chairs and gas grill were awesome. Kitchen was well stocked with appliances and gadgets. Easy walk to town for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Wonderful all around!
Great condition and ideal location on Beach St. Loved Manzanita with nice restaurants and grocery nearby. Kitchen very well stocked, comparable to our kitchen at home including spices, grill tools, etc. Definitely would stay again.
The view was spectacular!
We met our son and his wife here for an Oregon Coast getaway. This house was perfect for us. The views are awesome. The beach access is just across the street, a very short walk, which is great to watch the sunsets, beachcomb, or if you get caught by a sneaker wave like we did, it is a quick walk home to the washer & dryer and a warm shower or bath! The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. We loved the open concept with views and the big eating bar which allowed the cooks to stay in touch with everyone! We found everything we needed in the kitchen, the bathrooms and even for the wood stove downstairs. My husband especially appreciated the comfortable electric recliners upstairs and downstairs.
This house was perfect for the 8 of us. My husband and I, our 2 sons with their girlfriends, and our teenage daughter and her friend. You can see part of the beach from the deck which was very relaxing to just sit out there and read, or drink morning coffee. The beach had easy access just across and down the street. We usually walk into town (about 5 min) to grab an expresso and pastries in the morning which was easy to do from this location. Everything was clean and well-maintained. I appreciated the notifications for available early check-in and we took advantage of the late checkout offered (7 pm) for a small amount of extra money. I apologize for the broken wine glass though. My husband knocked it over in the sink when he went to wash out a pot as we cleaned up before leaving.
House was a little hodgepodge in setup but nice with some fun ocean views. Everyone slept well here which is always a goal. Two small sitting areas with only three comfortable chairs so not great sitting for guests. Not much comfy outdoor seating on deck.
We got there and the road was closed - took us a while to figure out how to get to it. Lots and lots of construction equipment - road roller, front loaders, etc. Construction started at 7am and literally had the house shaking and cabinets rattling. Unbelievable. Luckily we only rented it for two days but I will never use this company again as we were told by a fellow renter on the street that it had been planned since January - so lots of advance notice. We only booked the house in June. We basically had to get up and out of the house - very hard to enjoy it.
We apologize for the construction noise. The project has been very sporadic and hard to follow. Hopefully it will be done soon!
The location of this house could scarcely be better, and the view from the top floor sun room is simply stunning. The layout of the house is kind of interesting; despite a big kitchen and two living rooms, there isn't a really outstanding space for 4-6 adults to hang out together in a circle and relax and talk.
Also nice: kitchen is well stocked with tools, TVs are nice, there are fancy motorized recliners in the living rooms. There's a neat pirate's scope and a big telescope in the room with the great view.
We arrived to find the site had road construction on two sides of the property, complete with early morning noise and replacing the water meter in the driveway so we had to move a car. There were unannounced water shut-offs one day and an announced 9-4 shut-off the next day. It took awhile to get a Vacasa representative to deal with the problem, but finally one did the best he could and followed up. One of the bedrooms and the adjacent bunk bed room are in the lower level. The other two were light and pleasant. There is some view, a nice deck, and it's close to beach and town.
It's wonderful hear that you enjoyed the location and view that this home has to offer. We apologize about any construction you had to deal with during your stay. We hope you are looking forward to your next stay, construction-free!
ITS A SHAME BECAUSE THIS IS A NICE HOUSE.... HOWEVER OUR STAY WAS RUINED BY THE ROAD CONSTRUCTION GOING ON OUTSIDE -- VACASA SHOULD HAVE CONTACTED US THERE WAS TIME TO LOOK AT OPTIONS, BUT THEY DIDNT. WE LOOKED SO FORWARD TO THIS VACATION & IT WAS AWFUL.
Well equipped and maintained. Very clean and great location.
This is a great house, excellent furnishings, light and airy. Four adults and 3 teenagers had plenty of room. Even though it mainly rained for all 4 days, we could all gather in the main kitchen/dining/living room or we could all find various spots to congregate in smaller groups.
It is right across the street from the beach, though Beach Street is literally wall to wall houses, so the real view is mainly of the houses across the street. So, if proximity to the beach is your goal, this location might be OK, but if a relatively peaceful spot is your desire, this house is probably not for you.
My family loved this house. We stayed on a rainy weekend with a sick 3yr old. So we pretty much just stayed in the house. I was worried the kids would get bored and start going crazy, but that never happened. They stayed entertained and content the entire time. All the board games they provided kept my 3rd old happy and occupied. The loft upstairs was my 11 yr old sons dream, he could have his own private space away from his sister but also still feel connected to the family because of the design. I was able to relax and enjoy a book without much noise, which is impossible at home. (That alone made it worth it :)) With 3 floors but open through the middle made it so easy to talk to each other when we are all in different rooms. This was perfect for us. I only want to book this house from now on.
Convenient place that works for relaxed guests/families without super-high privacy needs.
Conveniently located in walking distance to downtown and beach. We enjoyed the living room, kitchen area the most, with seating around the kitchen counter and views toward the ocean. With the three stories of this house, it provides enough space for a bigger family and also offers some spaces for retreats.
We thoroughly enjoyed this house - thoughtfully equipped and a perfect location for accessing the beach and town. Nice views, nice deck. We were able to walk everywhere. Recommend spending time at nearby Ecola State Park - that was our favorite.
This is a large comfortable 3 floor home. Could accommodate two small families nicely if you get along well!
Great ambience. A bit of an ocean view. Great ocean air. Lovely town.
Very clean. Nice bedding and towels. Nice balcony.
Home has for sale sign. Next door a home is being built but not much noise or action on that, so no disturbance.
For just two of us this three-tiered home was comfortable and had all the supplies we needed. There is a street and row of homes between it and the ocean but it still has pretty good ocean views. While the traffic on Beach Street was loud during the day with the windows open on this summertime weekend, by evening the few car sounds were absorbed by the sound of the ocean. As another reviewer mentioned, there is still a home under construction next door but other than someone picking up some supplies we saw no other activity there. We were disappointed, however, that the home was not ready for the 4 PM check-in time -- the cleaners requested another 30 minutes so we left the home and returned later.
Stayed here for two nights for a family reunion. Loved the location - 1/2 block to the beach, very easy access - and only a short, pleasant walk to downtown shops and restaurants. The house accommodated our group very nicely with 4 bedrooms, all with very comfortable beds. Complete kitchen was nice for family breakfast and meals. It was lovely. I wish we could have stayed longer.
Great home, beautiful, and cozy. The view was great couldn't have asked for more.
This house is like a chambered nautilus: It's kind of a spiral, from the ground floor up. Very compact footprint, but everything you need is here. There two bedrooms on the ground floor, a master bedroom on the main floor, and while technically not a bedroom (no closet), a great sleeping area and sitting area in the loft. My favorite views were from the loft sitting area.
The house is very well furnished. This was the best equipped kitchen I've ever had the pleasure of using in a rental unit. Thank you! Tons of towels in the baths. Everything is light and bright.
Beach access is an easy walk. We enjoyed our time here, and would definitely stay here again.
For our first time this was simply amazing!
We have stayed in Manzanita many times, but this is one of our favorite homes. Perfect location to the beach and town, great views from the loft and lots of room. Well-equipped and managed. It appears that a new home is under construction immediately next door, so future guests should confirm whether active construction will be occurring during their stay.
We enjoyed the accommodations very much and would highly recommend this property to family and friends. We will be back!
