Whether you're looking for a quiet family vacation by the beach or a relaxing retreat with your work friends, this waterfront home on Whidbey Island has everything you could ask for! Cozy comforts within and amazing access to the natural beauty of the beach make this an opportunity too good to miss.

Located on the southwestern coast of the island, your new home away from home for six is only a short drive from several nearby attractions. Restaurants and more await in the quirky town of Langley, while golfers can enjoy the public golf course of Holmes Harbor and a small nine-hole course, Island Green in Clinton. But the real advantage of this home is its beachfront location! Kids will marvel at the massive expanse of beach flats they can explore when the tide is out, while adults can simply relax on the deck and admire the sun shining on the waves.

During your stay, you’re never far from activities like clamming, crabbing (when in season), kite boarding, building sandcastles on the beach, and walking along miles of tide flats. This great location is also just about 10 minutes from the Clinton Ferry.

Inside the home, enjoy free WiFi along with the cozy atmosphere and rich history. Passed down in the family for over 75years, Dinnsen's Den's small touches - like the ample sea glass art - make you feel like you're part of Whidbey Island's history.

Reserve your stay today and take the first step towards a fantastic getaway! A damage waiver, covering up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the property or its contents, is included in the cost of your reservation.

Location. View. Eagle. Our granddaughter wanted grandpa to buy the place!

We felt this was a nice and reasonable beach house with a fabulous view of the Double Bluff on Whidbey and the Olympic Mountains across the sound. The house has everything you need, including laundry. It's comfortable and casual, not fancy or decorated to impress. We picked Whidbey Island because the beach house happened to be available during our vacation, and we were very happy we did. We enjoyed picking up sand dollars and watching the crabs scuttle when we moved pieces of driftwood at low tide. The owners have binoculars available for viewing ships and wildlife. The house is reasonably close to both ferry docks, a number of state parks, Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve, and Payless Foods in Freeland. We hope to return to Whidbey Island at some point, and we will try to stay here again.

I loved the comfy, funky decor and the location is beyond-perfect. Right on the “beach” (not much beach to speak of during the day in fall-low tide was in the middle of the night), with lots of great bird watching. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is one bed in the double room is incredibly uncomfortable and the stairs to the beach were out, so we had to ask the neighbors if it would be okay to use theirs to access the beach. Overall it was a a lovely stay!

Cozy little cottage with an amazing view of the water!

This house was good enough for a long weekend. The house is right on the beach and at low tide, you can go for long walks. Some of the signs around the house are a little abrasive - like the sign saying neighbors will call the police if you are too loud. I get that neighbors don't want massive parties, but it felt a little uninviting.

Clean comfortable quarters and spectacular views. Awesome place to let kids wade in tidal waters and search for crabs and fish.

This is a great location for this house! We enjoyed the house very much! It is outdated which is fine for us! We ended up renting some movies for our little kids at the end of the day and that worked out great! The kitchen is stocked with everything you may need utensil wise. But there is no dishwasher! Which isn’t a huge deal But something I overlooked! There is however a washer and drier! Which is great! It is simply basic amenities! The stairs to the beach were in great shape, the beach was great and the tide goes out far in the am, so you can look under rocks and tide pools if your kiddos like that! They even have sand buckets there and a propane bbq grill which was great to use! There is no bathtub, just a shower so if you’re kids don’t like showers, just a heads up! We’d stay there again!

Great value for this cozy little beach house we rented for a quick escape from the city with my young kids and the grandparents. We enjoyed the warmth of the stove on the cold mornings, after beach combing and enjoying the deck. Gorgeous view and nice natural lighting in the main living space. It’s a step back in time for some but we appreciated all the comforts it provided.

The house is got everything you need for a comfortable vacation. The beds are a little too soft but other than that we had a great time. Our family of four was very comfortable and felt with enough space when in te house. Very easy to access and great spot to explore all Whidbey has to offer.

Main benefit = on the beach. Place is dated, but fine. Washer wasn't working so Vacasa gave us a partial refund. Fire alarm was not mounted on the ceiling and the battery was low and started chirping at 1am. Took us an hour to find the alarm, sitting on top of a tall cabinet in the kitchen area. Vacasa delivered fresh batteries the next day but it would be nice if the alarm was remounted on the ceiling outside the bedroom area as is recommended for safety.

The neighbors helped us feel right at home.

The views from this cottage are spectacular...mountains, the bay, birds, eagles, ships, and more...We loved the location. We would definitely return to this vacation home.

Quiet, wonderful 2 bedroom beach home. Beautiful area with lots of wildlife! Nice, friendly neighborhood, very peaceful. The house has everything you could want such as cookware, extra blankets/pillows, and laundry machines. Be aware that the hot water tank is very small, and will run out quickly during a shower. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful ocean view, cozy cottage.

What a wonderful cottage on the shore. We had 4 - 70 degree days with out any rain for our mid-March stay. The cottages' interior has been updated to feel cozy and comfortable. The gas fireplace was such nice heat. The kitchen is large and we loved the long island in the middle. The bedrooms seemed private up the short stairs from the living area. Plenty of extra bedding for the chilly nights. The neighborhood is very rural, quite and nice for walks. We found the traffic very light without tailgaters. We recommend Taco Rocket -! Charmers Bistro-! and Whidbey Pies -! The turkey cranberry chutney sandwich was delicious. The local Vacasa manager provided us with some deck chairs since summer furniture doesn't come out til April. We would stay again and highly recommend to friends. Thank you for loaning this treasure of a home out for visits.

Enjoyed watching the weather change over the bay. Fun to walk on the beach. Lots to do in the area.

This place is so cozy and we loved staying here. We cooked and hung out all weekend without really feeling the need to leave.

I would stay here again!

This was such a beautiful place however the housekeeping just marred everything. There were cobwebs everywhere - on the chairs, entrance, doors. I have taken the pictures too. Also, few windows didn't have any curtains so doesn't provide any privacy. I think Vacasa should refund some amount based on the condition of the house.
Manager response:
We would like to thank this guest for posting this review. We would like to sincerely apologize for any inconvenience they may have experienced. Please be assured that we have followed up with an inspection to the window coverings and have taken action by addressing this with the owner. We did complete an pre-guest inspection two days prior to the guest arrival and at that time there were no cobwebs. With that being said, this time of year there are spiders. We are going to credit the guest $100 for the inconvenience they experienced.

Nice beach house for small family, great beach and sunset views.

Perfect place to relax and get away from it all. Very quite location and easy to get to shopping and dining.
