Really enjoyed our stay in this home. Photos are true and primary bedroom on main floor was good size with super nice renovated bathroom (floor was a little cold so heating duct might have been missed in reno?) Kitchen appliances and supplies are top notch and plenty for a group. All beds comfy with exception of primary king which was soft with dip in middle, so if you're picky about beds then be aware. Had a problem with heating first night but Vacasa team worked hard to resolve the next day, and their check-in process is seamless. Overall I would return to this home and recommend it.

Great space for my family. The kids loved going to the beach and playground. The house was super clean and had a great floor plan. The primary bathroom is amazing. Can’t wait to come back!

The house was lovely and the rental company was very attentive. Looking forward to a return trip!

Very good price for being in vanderhorst plantation. However it’s location on Governors Drive has a lot of traffic and I’d be careful with small kids here being in the front yard. Since you can’t use the garage you either have to back out of driveway (too dangerous) or turn around using the pine strawed area in front yard which I did and make no apologies for it.
The house is furnished in usable generic furniture although living area seems newer and more comfortable. Beds are ok - all queens. Bathrooms are good. Kitchen appliances fine. Very basic utensils, dishes. Plenty of eating space with 2 separate tables. Wraparound deck is nice with a screened in sitting area. Not much yard and no window treatments except in bedrooms. Privacy didn’t seem to be issue however.
I was really displeased that I wasn’t allowed to use the gas fireplace as we were there during colder weather.
Would I stay here again? No.
Was it a good property for the money? Yes with the qualifications I mentioned. We stayed last year a couple blocks away in a similar house and it listed for $450 more for the time we were just down there. But it’s privacy, furnishings, and decking were probably worth the premium. So this house is fairly priced, it’s not a steal.
PS: what’s with the 1960’s thermostat? It reeks of rental property with completely disinterested ownership.
Manager response:
Thank you for sharing your feedback, Bruce. We appreciate you letting us know there is room for improvement, and we'll pass your suggestions to the owner for consideration. We hope to have another chance to impress you in the future!

Beautiful spacious house, great location. Nice and clean!
We are a family of 5 and had enough room to spread out. A minor problem we had upon arrival got fixed right away.
We would book again!
The only thing I felt misleading in the description (as a previous visitor mentioned) are the shared tennis courts. There is a tennis center on the island where you can book a court.

Home had some updated features and a comfortable den, but lacked in cleanliness and bathrooms were original to the home. We knew what we booked and realized areas of the home would be dated, but was disappointed with the lack of clean detail which was concerning given the current COVID-19 pandemic.

If comfortable with staying in a dated property, a good deep clean would take care of many of the concerns (cleaning the flatware, pots and pans, hair off the bathroom floors, bedspreads, providing clean towels for each person, to name a few).

After we cleaned off the screened and porch and had it blow off by the lawn care company, it was nice to sit out and enjoy a glass of wine.

I would recommend outfitting the kitchen with additional and updated pots and pans (didnt seem to be enough to cook on), cleaning the black mold off the master shower door and along the sides, fixing the upstairs shower so the water drained properly, and getting a new mattress for the master bed.

Unfortunately we will not rebook this property and would not recommend staying there.

There was hair on the floor of the master bathroom and on the walls of the master shower

Manager response:
Hi, Missie! We are so thankful for your feedback. The homeowner has ordered new pots and pans, and they will inspect the master mattress during their next visit. Thank you!

Lovely surroundings within a short bike ride to a gorgeous beach. Reasonably priced.

Clean, spacious, open layout; sun porch was nice too! Perfect size for the 5 of us. Note: there’s NO shared access to tennis courts.

We loved this house. It was perfect for our family of 5. We loved the screened in porch. And it was a mile walk to the beach.

We totally enjoyed this home. We particularly liked the master down as well as the washer and dryer. We found ample utensils in the kitchen and all appliances worked fine.

The front door was a huge challenge for us. We COULD NOT get the door unlocked. Finally, went around back and in through the garage to get inside and still had a hard time getting it unlocked from within. Finally, at night, we tied the two door handles together with a pet leash rather than lock it as we were afraid we couldn't get out!

One other challenge was the upstairs thermostat was locked and set on 70 degrees, which was fine except toward the end of our stay, it got cold outside. We had the heat on downstairs and the ac on upstairs.

Otherwise, we liked it and would recommend it for others. Just beware, the shower in the master bath is about 3' x 3', so if you are large or tall you won't be able to reach your feet.
Manager response:
We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us! We apologize that the door seemed to give you some trouble. Please know that local staff is in the area available to assist guests if there is anything that you may need while in the home. We look forward to hosting you next time!

We stayed at 7 Governors Drive over Labor Day with another family we travel with often. The house is very clean, neat and uncluttered. It has a nice layout for two families. Although it is on a main drag, it is very quiet, with a wooded area in the back. The light on the main floor is great because of the high ceilings and windows.
Just a few things of note: the kitchen could be better stocked in terms of utensils and other cooking supplies. The mattresses also could have been a little more comfortable. And last, you might consider hanging the tv in the den a little lower. It was a big college football weekend so we watched on Saturday while it was raining. You really had to crane your neck to watch tv.
It was a great house overall and we appreciate you renting it to us!
Manager response:
Thank you for staying with us, Tracy! The kitchen is stocked with basic essentials for simple meals, but we would have been happy to bring over any particulars you noticed were missing. Due to the location of the fireplace, the TV cannot be placed any lower, and we apologize for any discomfort this caused you. We hope to see you again!
