Rustic cabin-style home with wood stove, private gas grill, and picnic table!

Step inside and take your place next to the wood stove - it's time to relax. This private home is styled like a log cabin and brings all the comforts of one to your stay near Lake Tahoe. Cook up breakfast in the full kitchen and enjoy it together at the carved dining table, or take it outside to the picnic table. Though that may tempt you to grill something delicious on the private gas grill for lunch. The upstairs of this home is your own private master suite, with a large bathroom with two separate sink stations and a large walk-in shower. But there's room for everyone at this lovely cabin home.

What's nearby:
Who's ready for the beach? Kings Beach State Recreation Area and the more family-friendly North Tahoe Beach are each within one-and-a-half miles of the home. But the area has many different offerings for when folks need a break from the water. North Tahoe Regional Park, a local favorite, provides nature trails, a ropes course, winter sledding and more just under three miles away. There's also plenty of options for food - you can't go wrong with a roast beef sandwich or açaí bowl from Pep's Place two miles from the house. But it's essential to try a Wet Woody at Gar Woods Grill & Pier, four-and-a-half miles from the house.

The good. The interior decoration is rustic ++++ to die for, completely cabin in the woods flavor. The upstairs master and bathroom are absolutely fantastic! The kitchen is WELL equipped with every utensil, pot, and pan for your vacation cooking needs. We fed a family of 6 great breakfasts and dinner on the GIANT 6 person table. This was a perfect launching spot for exploration of N Lake Tahoe, it's close enough for a quick drive to every tourist trap in Kings Beach, but far enough away to feel quiet and secluded from the rush and bustle of tourists. The place is also pet friendly, so that clinched the sale for us!
The bad: The place has a dated exterior and is in bad need of serious sprucing and painting. The outdoor deck is cracked and fading as is the picnic table. The back yard is also a little junky with lots of cut and fallen logs and some cables and ropes. The neighbors do let their dogs run free so if your pup is anti social you might run into problems.
The ugly: The kitchen had a hole in the floor by one wall to the foundation, but no little forest critters appeared to know about it...yet.
Manager response:
Hi, John! Thank you for letting us know about your visit. We apologize there was anything to detract from your family time. The hole in the floor has been temporarily fixed as we wait for a specialist to address it. The homeowner is scheduling to have the exterior of the home spruced up. There are drip system hoses visible around the back yard as well as fallen logs we are not allowed to move per forestry requirements. Hopefully you'll consider returning in the future!

Our family enjoyed our stay at Lake Tahoe. Minutes away from the lake, stores, and restaurants.

The entire exterior of this property was unkempt and in disrepair, requiring carpentry, sanding and refinishing of all exterior surfaces (to an extreme extent - probably 30 years overdue). The yard was strewn with junk including salt bags, unwound hoses and exposed wiring, broom/tool handles, broken furniture, etc. It was so embarrassing that I couldn't share pictures with friends of our trip.
Manager response:
Thank you for sharing your feedback, Faye. We apologize for not having the exterior of the property properly cleaned for your stay. We confirm our the issues have been addressed and resolved by our team. We hope for an opportunity to host you again!

Had all the amenities as listed. Very easy to cook in the cabin with the appliances and dishes that were available - especially with the pandemic. Easy access to everything in Tahoe.
