Stunning Guest Home on the Water w/ Gorgeous Views, Bright Interior & WiFi!
Perched directly above the serene blue-green waters of Skagit Bay, this newly built custom vacation home will usher you into a relaxing getaway from it all. Floor-to-ceiling windows immediately draw your eyes outside, where you can watch for seals, orcas, great blue herons, bald eagles, with the forests of Deception Pass State Park directly across the water. Whether you're dining at the cozy table for two, sitting in the red leather reclining chairs, or snuggled up in the luxurious king-size bed, the spectacular view will melt away your everyday stress. A full-size kitchen is stocked with everything you need to prepare your meals, but if you choose to dine out, there are many delightful options in nearby Anacortes and La Conner. Sunny weather graces this area often and there are a couple of Adirondack chairs for you to sit in, while you gaze at nature or relax and read. A full-size washer and dryer are also available, as well as a generously sized shower, complete with a heated towel warmer and radiant floor heating.
What's nearby: Incredibly close to Deception Pass State Park, there is an abundance of walking and hiking trails within minutes of Kingfisher Cove Hideaway. Walk across the historic Deception Pass Bridge and look east to see where you're staying, or west to gaze at the San Juan Islands and the Salish Sea. In addition to Deception Pass State Park, there are dozens of trailheads to choose from in the Anacortes Community Forest Lands (ACFL), with more than 50 miles of multi-use trails. The harbor-side marinas in Anacortes allow visitors to walk among the docks and look at sailboats and pleasure craft, and the Tommy Thompson Trail takes you along the marinas and across the notable 2,000-foot-long paved trestle spanning picturesque Fidalgo Bay. Hop on a ferry, right from Anacortes, to day-trip to the San Juan Islands. Nestled at the edge of the rain shadow of the Olympic Mountains, south Fidalgo Island gets half the amount of rain that Seattle does. And there's no need to take a ferry to get here - an easy one-and-a-half-hour drive from the greater Seattle area ushers you to this fabulous getaway vacation home.

Kingfisher Cove Hideaway deeply and simply facilitates ones letting go of life’s stresses. The design and implementation of the space, the beautiful, natural view/ environment. It is a place poetic in nature. If one seeks an experience of enhancement you could do no better.

Well appointed guesthouse and loved the rock bench down by the water. Surprised to find the unit has heated floors throughout and an outdoor gas firepit.

Floor to ceiling windows across the front looking out through tree branches to the water. The room it self was exceptional, leather recliners, very comfortable king bed, the whole place was tastefully decorated with a beach vibe. Excellently stacked kitchen including oils and spices, plus coffee and tea. BBQ and small patio are. We just loved our stay!

You won't regret staying - beautifully appointed vacation property with a stunning view, beautiful grounds, and peaceful location while be conveniently located for exploring Anacortes, Whidbey, or the San Juans. We say eagles, seals, birds, and squirrels. The flowers around the property add pops of color and are so pretty. We rarely stay at a place more than once because we like the variety of trying something new. This place would be an exception. When we are back in the area, we would definitely stay here again. The place is magical.

We absolutely loved this place! The beauty and architecture was astounding!
Laying in the most comfortable king bed with the view of the water and surrounding wildlife was simply breathtaking. We can’t wait to return! Thank you for this escape!
Don’t forgot to say hi to the resident seal that visits everyday. Sitting at the dinning table watching him pop up to see us was a thrill.

This was a very nice place to stay, amenities were great, and 15 minutes from town. Beautiful drive to get there, and right on the water. Only complaint is there was nowhere to take the trash once it filled up. I contacted Vacasa customer service and they were supposed to check into it, but never got back to me. Also, it was hot in the room almost all the time and humid due to how close this is to the water. Definitely needs a small ac to take the edge off. Overall I would say I would recommend it.

You know how many rentals feel like everything is a leftover from some other time? Not this place! This studio is simply perfection. The location is beautiful, private, and just so peaceful. From the well stocked kitchen to the spa-like bathroom (the towel warmer is a nice touch), and the cozy red leather recliners with matching throws, no detail was missed. Obviously these owners take pride in their property and it shows inside and out (the garden beds and path to the water are lovely). We will definitely be returning.

Quiet. Beautiful water views. Convenient to Deception Pass parks and trails. Comfortable bed. Very private feel, once inside unit. We were able to do all our cooking, no need to hunt for restaurants. Excellent getaway!

The Hideaway could be taken straight from the pages of Architectural Digest, it is so exquisitely designed and appointed. Like a floating mid-century modern structure, the studio home stands alone high above Kingfisher Cove, offering near-180 degree views from Yokeko Point across Deception Pass to Cornet Bay at the north end of Whidbey Island. My stay in the home was a welcome respite from the busy outside world, and I found peace and calm from the moment I woke and saw that view through the wall of floor-to-ceiling windows. I could watch the flow and eddies of the water in the Straight from my bed, or from one of the comfy arm chairs while sipping freshly-made coffee. During the day, the Hideaway provided everything I needed to keep quietly to myself and enjoy the peace. In the functional areas, kitchen, laundry room, and bathroom, the style is fresh, and all the surfaces, tiles, and cabinetry are clearly made from high-end materials. No corners were cut to provide the desired aesthetic to keep guests connected to the surroundings and feeling wrapped in luxury. In the evening, the view of the Deception Pass Bridge at sunset brought a sense of wonder and calm that I crave today. I can't wait to go back to Kingfisher Cove Hideaway, and once again be enfolded in perfection.

The studio and views are stunning! It's a perfect place to go to get away from it all. It felt very private and quiet. The space was well-appointed with everything we may have needed during our stay. I highly recommend it—especially if you need a peaceful place to recharge.

Great studio apartment for a short escape. This amazing (newly built) space feels welcoming and fresh. It's completely private from the main house. The bay through the floor to ceiling windows changes color by the hour. Orcas sometimes come to play but you are sure to see eagles and seals. The neighborhood is very quiet and the road is excellent for a brisk morning walk. The outdoor patio catches the morning sun and the chairs are comfortable. Kayaking, trails, a quick ride into town for dinner, or cook in the fully appointed kitchen. The laundry has high end machines. Bed is top notch -- that matters!

Wow, what an amazing little getaway you have! Did not know exactly what to expect but was blown away to feel like we were floating over the water with floor to ceiling windows! ( But still feels completely private) Has everything you might need for the stay, cooking with all utensils, washer, dryer and amazing walk-in shower. Truly did not want to leave. We will be back again!

Suffice it to say that it is an altogether spectacular place. Deeply calming and nurturing. The hosts are helpful, conscious, and largely there only in support if needed. It is such a private retreat. The place opens to a direct view onto water, with a treed expanse across the water. Everything you could possibly need is there and is of the highest quality. Trails are very nearby. The lovely town of Anacortes is minutes away and in the other direction you pass over Deception Pass Bridge ( spectacular in its own right) and onto North Whidbey Island, which has numerous and varied aspect well worth exploring. Which includes a short ferry ride to Port Townsend. I could not be more enthusiastic and exclamatory about my feelings and experience at Kingfisher Cove. It comes very highly recommended.

The Kingfisher Cove Hideaway is probably the most intimate and modern vacation rental on the Deception Pass waterfront. It is only a few steps from the water with a sweeping southern exposure, that filled our souls with light and texture. The floor-to-ceiling windows gave us a theatre of pure, natural delight. Orcas whales often make their Pilgrimage into these waters, as do Eagles and Seals. Sipping our coffee in the morning against a backdrop of fishing boats and watching for marine life was a lovely way to start our day! We loved being able to open the windows, thanks to the southern exposure, to take in the fresh fragrance of the Salish Sea. It was the perfect accompaniment to our evening wine! The home is new and they have been attentive to every detail. I strongly recommend Kingfisher Cove Hideaway.
