Remember how fun it was to play in the hayloft of your granddaddy’s barn when you were a kid? Well, it’s still fun, but this ain’t your granddaddy’s barn.
It’s that magical time of year when Montana is cloaked in a blanket of white. Here at The Stalls, things are even quieter than they are in the summer. But that doesn’t mean you should only sit on your keister. Winter is the perfect time for an action-packed getaway. If you’re a cross country skier, you can ski right out of the barn and explore the pristine surroundings, or you can head three miles down the road to enjoy groomed cross country trails. If snowshoeing is your thing, come on over and make some tracks. For snowmobilers, there are many miles of trails to get your zoom on. And let’s not forget downhill skiing on Big Mountain or exploring the lower elevations of Glacier Park. There’s no chance of getting bored around here.
The downstairs is all business. With eight stalls and paddocks with automatic waterers, a tack room, and a horse-wash station, your horses will feel right at home. Maybe you want to bring a llama, a dog, or a wallaroo. I don’t care, throw ‘em in a stall. The Stalls at Whitefish wants to accommodate your needs.
And you’re probably a little more discerning than your pets, which is why the upstairs is well-appointed to suit your needs. This space was built for relaxation, so you can veg out watching TV; clean up after a day of hiking, riding, or skiing in the rainfall shower; or watch the fire glow from your bed.
Only four miles from downtown Whitefish, The Stalls at Whitefish is conveniently close to town yet it feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere. Bucolic at its best. In the summer, you can grill a steak and eat next to the campfire. In the winter, you can snowshoe, cross country ski (there’s even a groomed trail a few miles down the road), snowmobile, or head up to Big Mountain for a day of downhill skiing. No matter what you like to do, we’re close to it. And when the day is done, there’s no better setting in which to relax.
Whatever your preference, come on over!
