The condo was very clean when arrived. We had a relaxing 3 day stay with wakes each day on the Ocean Front and Bayside walkways.
Both were a short walk from the 813 San Gabriel Pl condo.
We highly recommend it as a prefect place to get way and just relax.

We absolutely loved the location but there were so many issues with He house that it was a shame that I paid so much to stay there. To start the house was not clean at all. There were clean towels and sheets but the floor was sooo dirty that all of our feet were black within a few minutes. I don’t think the house keeper even tried to mop the floors.
The house is in super bad need of repair as well. No thresh holds between the rooms and the trim busted around the fireplace. Rust on everything in the bathrooms! Just when you spend over 2000$ for a week one would hope for more detail to up keep and cleanliness.
All of the kitchen dishes and coffee cups are in a weird place which is very difficult to reach if you are under 5’4”!!! Just not what I expected once again. On a good note, the neighbors are super nice as well as the area businesses. Great location and away from the crowds.
I will not rent this house again unless they upgrade it and make sure the house keepers are doing their jobs! FYI, the master bedroom bedskirt is filthy dirty and needs to be thrown away! The owner needs to also replace the blinds as they don’t have the balances and most of the cords are broken. So keep in mind that the photos don’t tell the entire story! I have photos if anyone wants to see them.

We were pleasantly surprised! This is a nice condo within walking distance to the ocean, bay and food. The garage is short so I wouldn't take anything longer than a small suv (we have a Nissan Rouge and it was a right fit). We will definitely look to stay here in the future!

Very close walking distance to Bay and also super close to beach. Very convenient when you want to go to the restroom:).
Having garage parking is also a super win as the street parking is limited and always full.
Comfortable living room to hang out and relax after a day of sun and fun. WiFi was great and no problem with that.
Being able to BBQ with utensils is also nice-grill was super clean!

We like to visit the San Diego area and Mission Beach can be a lot of fun and relaxing. We have rented dozens of vacation homes over the years all over the US. I research very carefully before I go to understand what type of unit I will be using and if it fits what we need at a good price. This unit was a pretty good value for the area so we booked it for five days in February 2020.
Units in this part of Mission Beach typically have very very narrow parking in most of the units if at all. This unit has a wide garage that could fit two average sized cars, unfortunately, the alley is so narrow and the adjoining restaurant has its dumpsters placed in the alley as well. So trying to pull into and out of the garage can be very difficult with a bigger car; we have a Prius. Bringing in two cars is nearly impossible because of the approach angle to get in the garage, the dumpsters and people parking illegally in the alley. It was nice to have a code to use on the garage door entry pad to get in and out because the front gate was locked and we couldn’t enter through the front door. The lock was rusted shut. The local manager was able to fix it by the third day we were there.
We had no internet the duration of our stay and spent quite a bit of time trying to re-establish an Internet connection. The DIRECTV was great and had a lot of sports channels and local news. Didn’t have ESPN for some reason, but had Big Ten network NFL network and a lot of other standby stations. The unit was very clean, nice kitchen, roomy compared to others in the area no doubt. We stayed in February 2020 and we typically wake up early, unfortunately, if you plan to sleep in the businesses around the unit sharing the alley and others nearby fill their dumpsters up daily and they have to be emptied by a noise dump truck. So by 9 AM every morning the dumpster truck was making quite a bit of noise. Not a problem for us. Also there is no air conditioning and is not needed in February, however, some patrons of the restaurant and the nearby bar hang outside to have a smoke and talk and it can be very late at night. The restaurant has a screen door where patrons enter and exit and noise flows right through it. If you need windows open to keep your cool in summer, as there are no ceiling fans or AC, you may be up at night because of the noise. The master bedroom window faces in the direction of the bar and could keep you up at night. We had the luxury of sleeping in the second bedroom with the bunkbeds , keeping the window closed because it was chilly at night. So we slept fine. You are on the opposite side of the unit from the chatter and noise from the bars and grill in the second bedroom.
The unit is in a great location just steps away from the walking/bike path that goes around the whole perimeter of Mission Bay. Eateries are steps away. The mini market close by is very expensive but a Ralphs is a 10 minute drive away. A five minute walk or less you are on the beach. Lots of beach toys for boys and girls and provided beach coolers. Nice kitchen appliances and it is always great to have an efficeint icemaker in the fridge. We made use of the great Weber bas BBQ grill every night. Hopefully, the internet was reestablished for the next renter. It has DSL but there is also fiber service available (I spent a lot of time with ATT customer service trouble shooting the issue). A new modem was sent to the unit but we had no luck setting it up and the local manager finally requested a tech come to the unit because we spent hours on hold and etc. trying to get the internet working. The owner would do well to spend a little more for more reliable faster fiber optic service.
We likely would stay in this unit again in the cooler seasons as it fits our needs and is priced well for just the two of us and a friend or two who might stop by and have dinner with us. Public parking is not easy for guests in summer , for sure, but in February parking spots usually can be found nearby.

The place was perfect for what we needed. Plenty of room in the garage and the rooms were great. The garbage truck was not that bad and only once after 8am. I wouldn’t let it scare you away. If available on our next trip we will visit again. I highly recommend this place!
