We loved the cozy home and how roomy it was! Very family friendly, they had games for kids, lots of blankets, tv worked perfectly, the "backyard" was fun for the kids to explore. We absolutely loved our stay and would come back again!!

Our group was 4 adults/5 teens. There were plenty of bedrooms and space for our group to spread out. The living area was a little short on comfy seating for the capacity of the house but it didn’t end up being an issue as part of our group was usually at the table playing a game or doing a puzzle. The garage/laundry area was perfect for leaving all the ski boots and gloves to dry for the next day without having to track anything in the house. Though, as mentioned in other reviews, some things were a tad dated everything was clean and in working order. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals and necessities such as dish soap, toilet paper, etc. were well stocked. We really enjoyed our spring break stay here!

The main area of the house was awesome. So much room to hang out and play board games. We lived it. However the house needs some serious updating. The bedrooms are fine but the kitchen and the bathrooms are very dated and in some places broken. It looks like the home is not taken very good care of n terms of general maintenance. The house is a great space for a big family like ours but it needs updating and general repair.

When we arrived the front walkway was not shoveled. It was fill of ice. Very dangerous. It remained there for our entire 10 days stay.

If this house gets a little TLC it will be amazing!
Manager response:
We are so glad you stayed with us, Margie, and apologize for the disappointments you encountered. We have added a bag of snow melt to the property to be available for guest use, and the homeowners is looking at off-season projects to improve the home for our guests. Thank you!

Nice and spacious living area and a nice getaway!!

Somewhere between 3.5 and 4 stars, Black Bear Lane was fine and well-priced for our group getaway, but needs a little more effort put into cleaning (especially when people are weary of COVID and cleaning fees are high). Most of the dishes were dusty and there were face and hand prints on several windows and leftover party decorations from the last group. However, there is a lot of space and functionality to the house and it’s nice that it’s tucked away from everything. It’s a quirky blend of old Vail housing and more modern decor and will eventually become a great (and likely much higher priced) unit.
Manager response:

This is a good home that with a few changes could be made great. There is plenty of parking between the garage and driveway. Pets being allowed is always a nice perk. Loved the open space downstairs and the fireplace made it very cozy. There was plenty of bedrooms and space to sleep, however the mattresses were very hard making sleeping uncomfortable. Master Bedroom TV did not work with ease. Besides those few things the home was great and we enjoyed our stay!
