Charming condo w/ shared hot tub, lake views, entertainment & nearby beach

Legend has it that Kokopelli was a storyteller, announcing himself with a tune on his flute. Had the little guy stayed at this beautiful Tahoe City vacation rental just a block from gorgeous Lake Tahoe, he might have piped for joy!

With room for seven, you'll stay in comfort and luxury with all the amenities of home, plus perks that come with the St. Francis Community. Not only will you have access to a seasonal tennis, a year-round shared hot tub, and a private beach on Lake Tahoe, you'll be ideally situated to enjoy the sites and activities waiting for you in the Tahoe area.

Take the camera and walk out on the pier just a block away for some great shots! Your condo is in a stellar location on Lake Tahoe, nestled between two state parks to the west (Burton and Tahoe State Recreation Area), and Dollar Point, just five minutes east. If you've got a boat, you're in the right place. There's a boat launch just a block away. Though you'll be close to shops and restaurants in Tahoe City, the locals will tell you that "watersports" and "wintersports" is the town's stock in trade.

With three bedrooms and room for seven, this lovely condo is tastefully decorated with Southwestern accents in the furniture that blend well with the white walls, pale woods of the ceiling, and teal-colored fixtures throughout . Diagonal supports open up the living area and give it a spacious yet comfortable feel.

After a day out on the lake or the slopes at one of the nearby ski resorts, this living room is the perfect place to unwind! Make yourself a drink and relax to your favorite music on the CD player. Check the nightly news or your favorite cable show on the flat screen TV. Or, slip a DVD into the player (bring some along!) and enjoy a movie. And if it's a working vacation, fire up that laptop and stay connected with the free WIFI.

There are plenty of places to eat right in Tahoe City (about ten), and your choices expand with neighboring Sunnyside. But you don't have to leave! Turn your cook loose in this fully equipped, modern kitchen with long, granite countertops with room for prep work and a gas range for that perfectly adjustable flame! There's a unique double-door frig with ice dispenser for that cool glass of water, a microwave for that quick snack or popcorn (for the movie!), and a dishwasher so you're not scrubbing dishes. Weather permitting, barbeque your meal on the gas grill out on the deck with peekaboo views of the lake and go for a swim in the shared pool!

Kokopelli Condo has three bedrooms and three full bathrooms. With a king bed in one bedroom, a full bed in the second bedroom, two twins in another, and 2 futons, this condo will sleep seven comfortably. One of the futons is located in the sleeping loft that is only accessible via a steep vertical ladder, so please be prepared to supervise little ones who like to climb! All the rooms come with plenty of linens and pillows and continue the Southwestern theme of the home. There's also a washer and dryer, so you'll always have fresh, clean clothes for leisure and stepping out.

Lake Tahoe is, of course, a boater's paradise. Whether you're just floating out on the water, absorbing the lake's natural beauty, or throwing a fishing line for one of the water's silvery inhabitants, there's no place like it! Book a sunset cruise for a bit of romance. There's more fishing over in the Truckee River were you can also go kayaking or rafting. Cyclists: The trail from Dollar Point to Tahoe City - about a 2.5 mile ride - is right outside the door. Hikers have lots of trails to choose from around Tahoe City. Come winter, you can hit the slopes at Squaw Valley, about nine miles away. Alpine and Homewood Resorts are just seven miles. Northstar is a little farther at 15.

Come to amazing Lake Tahoe and see what Kokopelli is missing! Make this lovely condo your special getaway any time of year and enjoy the fun and excitement that comes with Lake Tahoe's natural beauty and abundance.

Me sentí como en casa todo estuvo perfecto, mi familia disfruto del silencio y la pisina , llegaremos las otras vacaciones a disfrutar de esa comodidad

Worked well for our family. Funky but great location. Practical but not high end. Great Lake and trail access. Plenty of parking.

Complex has nice amenities and is in a great location. The unit is the first unit in the complex so you will get a bit of road noise. But it is priced in so all in all a good place to rent

really like it, especially kids

clean and very lovely place to stay. good location too!
Debbie T. Oct 2018
I absolutely loved this place, it was close to the running / bike trails that took you straight to the lake. The home was very comfortable and inviting. I would DEFINATELY stay again
MARK B. Sep 2018
Very quiet, clean, spacious and the kitchen was well stocked.
Daniel J M. Jul 2018
This was a lovely condo and very comfortable. Not on the lake but close enough to walk. Thanks for the stay!

This place is great! Excellent location, great space, can accommodate multiple families. Very hapy with our stay here

Good price too...

it's a nice place in a great location. Some maintenance on the property would help, but overall a great stay.
Peter M. Aug 2017
It's a nice quiet end condo near the main road and a few minutes from Tahoe City by car, 30 minutes or less on foot by bike path. A little worn in places, but clean and a pleasant stay with everything you really need. A nice place to relax.
Stephanie R. Jun 2017
Great for 6 adults, great location, great amenities!
Kristen C. Apr 2017
The place is pretty rustic just like most of these type of rentals. It offers a bed for rest. But the heating system that kicks up at night was noisy. If you are those people who can sleep through a thunder so to speak, for the price and location, it's a decent pick. The manager was helpful. They gave us the wrong key code. When I called, he answered back promptly .

This condo has funky 80's décor that is perhaps a bit dated but it has what you need to be comfortable for sure. We rented here to be near some friends that live in the area and it was just fine.
Miles O. Feb 2017
I'll definitely stay here again.
Grace L. Feb 2017
Loved staying at Kokopelli. Would love to come back in the summer and enjoy the lake.
Shrivatsa D. Jan 2017
It was a good stay.

Overall the place was pleasant and clean. The quality was appropriate for the price. This unit was the furthest of any from the lakeshore and closest to the highway. Units closer to the water had nicer landscape, nicer views, generally nicer environment. There were a few things I didn't like. There was no door on the master bathroom. That meant you are visible on the toilet. Also, the bathroom can't be warmed separate from the bedroom. If the bedroom is cool, you'll be cold getting out of the shower. A few things didn't work: the blinds in the mater bedroom couldn't be raised and the vertical venetian style blinds in the living room couldn't be rotated open. Considering the price it all seemed OK. We enjoyed our stay.

Great location near Tahoe City restaurants and shopping. The HOA beach is not really great for swimming or water sports but there are other nice beaches nearby.
Linda D. Jul 2016
Great location and home to stay in.

This was my first time staying in a Vacassa property and we will definitely be back. I loved the house and the surrounding area. We are a family of four (all adult) so there was more than enough space in this house. It was peaceful and relaxing, yet close enough to everything if you want to join the hustle and bustle of kings beach or Tahoe city. You can swim, sunbathe, hike, fish, without getting in your car! we all loved it and will be back!

With 3 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms and a loft , nice furnished kitchen for making a skiers breakfast with views of the lake and Squaws Granite Chief, end unit. For athletes, a very clean very hot 6 person hot tub.
Esther T. Feb 2016
Excellent location with slight view of lake. Very clean & spacious with nice decorations. Kitchen well equipped for up to 10 people. Could sleep up to four couples and two children. Nice enclosed community hot tub for adults.

Great place for uncle and three twenty something nephews on a ski trip. Not so great for a couple use to updated style, decor, and furnishings.

The price was right for a 3 bedroom during Thanksgiving, hence we booked the place. All appliances worked. Tons of dishes and enough utensils to cook. Washer dryer worked fine. Hopefully these guys will get the place cleaned well. That was our main complaint. The carpet and sheets were eww! If you book this place, take your own towels and bed sheets, comforters, etc. They had more than enough of towels and comforters but we all broke out using theirs - we are doubting that they were cleaned in a long time. The carpet was super gross. The blunds were falling apart.

Overall it is a nice place to stay for the price. Quite. Had fair enough hot water for about 2 people to shower. Then we had to wait 30 some mins for the next set of people to shower. Heater worked great. The kids play area above is cute. Has lots of games but those are all mis placed but the spot is cute. Views are good from the living and dining area.

Good experience for a fair price. I wouldnt have had a problem paying a bit more for a cleaner place.

Everything about our stay was wonderful EXCEPT: I specifically contacted VACASA before booking to ensure the hot tub would be operational and available during my stay. I was coming to Tahoe to compete in the Ironman event and it was extremely important to me that there was a hot tub on the location. *** I would not have booked this condo if I knew the hot tub would be unavailable *** and despite confirming, I was notified by maintainance that the hot tub would be closed during our stay. This was not a temporary issue, we were told the the pool and hot tub close seasonally each year at labor day. The condo maintainance staff was kind enough to delay draining the pool/spa and allowed us to use it a couple days while we were there (1 day it was "accidentally left open, and twice we were allowed in however one of those two times it was ice cold, out of our 10 day stay), but VACASA should have known about this seasonal closure (we were told the pool/spa has closed on labor day weekend for the last 22 years), and should not have confirmed with me that it would be available when it was not.
Katherine B. Jul 2015
We were amazed at how roomy the condo felt. There were only 5 of us (3 adults and 2 kids), but it could have accommodated 10 or more people. Lots of sleeping areas and futons that can serve as beds and lounging furniture. Three full baths a big plus! The forest/lake view from the large picture window in the dining room and off the back deck were gorgeous.

The property, including the pool, was clean and well maintained. The location of the condo is perfect -- just past the "city" part of Tahoe City, private and quiet, yet super close to shopping and restaurants.

You'll love this place!

There is nothing negative that I can say about the condo I enjoyed for five nights. The supplies inside were very abundant, the furniture was comfortable, the heating worked very well and any directions I needed were clear. And I blessed that we had a wonderful fall of snow on the last night of my stay. While Vacasa didn't need to go to this length to provide a glorious experience, it was totally enjoyable.

We were up in Tahoe for the Winter Wonder Grass festival at Squaw Valley and with the kids in tow wanted a quiet place away from the resort. This spot was perfect, about a 20 minute drive to and from Squaw was easy and the town was just a few minutes away. Well stocked kitchen everything worked except the coffee grinder was broken. The decor is a bit dated but the place was clean, comfortable and quiet. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would stay again for sure, Will probably try and reserve again for next years festival.

The overall exp is like being at home

Our weekend was fun and relaxing, we enjoyed hanging out in the condo, walking to the lake and swimming in the pool/Jacuzzi. The condo has three bedrooms and three full bathrooms which worked out perfectly for us. It was also a short drive to Kings Beach.
Manager response:
Thank you for this review. Its great to hear you loved the house and your stay in Tahoe City so much. We look forward to seeing you again.
Kathleen H. Jul 2014
A very comfortable condo on Lake Tahoe. Away from busy Tahoe City and was very peaceful.
Constance C. Jul 2014
Clean and family friendly. Well-equipped kitchen for all meals though small for more than one cook. Adequate bbq and balcony seating. Beautiful complex with a short, private walk down to lakeside. Close to Tahoe City and easy drive to other north lake towns. Responsive management.
Doris D. Jul 2013
Our party of seven occupied the three bedrooms and appreciated the three bathrooms, the well-furnished and well-supplied kitchen. The pool was lovely and clean. The location near Lake Tahoe and Tahoe City gave us peace and quiet and access to all of the action in town.
Emmett L. Jul 2013
We stayed here for the July 4th week and it was great. The condo is very nice and very clean. The kids loved the loft and thought it was their own personal area and as parents we loved the safety features in the loft. The location is great. The pool is nice, the tennis courts are brand new and the grounds are well kept. It is one block to the bike path into town and a short walk to the lake shore. We thought being next to the boat launch and Coast Guard station that it may be noisy but it was just fine. It was a great 4th of July and a great week.
