Dog-friendly contemporary home minutes from Manzanita Beach and Nehalem Bay!

This cozy vacation home is just a short drive away from the vibrant beach culture of Manzanita, set back in a wooded residential neighborhood just minutes from Nehalem Bay and the majestic Northern Oregon Coast. Contemporary in style, its spacious open concept interior is perfect for families and groups of up to six guests, and it even welcomes one small dog.

In between bouts of rest and relaxation at home, collect seashells and explore tide pools on Manzanita's beach, which lies two miles west. Head south to kayak, fish, and view wildlife in Nehalem Bay, or hike on seaside trails in Nehalem Bay State Park that give stunning cliffside views of the Pacific Ocean. If it's shopping you're after, check out the gift stores and quaint boutiques in Neahkahnie Beach, which is just over two miles northwest.

Step inside this home to find enchantment in its elements inspired by the natural surroundings, including a moss green motif and a polished natural wood dining table. Throw a few logs in the living area's wood stove and settle in while a cozy fire warms the room. Catch an afternoon nap on the green cloth couch, or spread out even more on the adjacent brown leather sectional couch.

With an abundance of cutout windows, the living area is bathed in plenty of natural light and the forested neighborhood just beyond your doors can easily be seen. From the living area you can access the outdoor deck, where a gas grill awaits a summertime barbecue and a glass-top table provides seating.

Speaking of dining, head back inside to whip up a fresh feast in the full kitchen, which offers modern appliances, ample counters, and varied cookware to assist in your culinary endeavors. Eat together at the nearby six-seat dining table, or take the meal onto the deck.

When it's time to call it a day, head to either of two bedrooms downstairs or the loft bedroom upstairs to get the restful sleep you deserve. Up to six guests will sleep comfortably on queen-size beds in two of the rooms, and there's a cozy futon mattress in the third sleeping space. Kids will certainly enjoy the laid-back sand and palm tree motif in one of the rooms, while the elegant simplicity of the other two bedrooms will appeal to adult tastes.

There's even a wall-mounted, DVD-equipped flatscreen TV in one of the rooms, perfect for winding down the day with an evening movie. Two full bathrooms, one on each level, means nobody has to wait too long for a shower. Other amenities include WiFi and a washer/dryer, and this home welcomes one dog weighing up to 35 pounds, though please note there is a nightly pet fee.

Many fun day trips are possible from this home's great location. Sip acclaimed local wine at the Nehalem Bay Winery, or spend a day crabbing in Nehalem River. You could also take a horse ride along the beach, or hike up to the top of Neahkahnie Mountain and take in the dazzling panoramic views from 1,600 feet above town.

This is a nice place, though it is worth noting as others have that the photos make it seem like it's isolated. It's crowded in among a few other houses. Still, we enjoyed the place.

So cozy and conveniently located! We had a fantastic time. Thank you!

Great location between Manzanita and Nehalem state park.

Nice little house...comfortable and surprisingly quiet neighborhood. However, the dishwasher was not secure in the cabinet, and when loaded with dishes, it tipped forward and spilled the plates, knives, forks, and spoons out. Luckily nothing was broken.
Manager response:
We are glad to know you enjoyed your stay! The dishwasher has been secured into place and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We look forward to hosting you in the future!

We needed a spot near my dad, who lives in the bay. It was perfect to be a few blocks away while taking full advantage of the space. It was clean, cozy, and fully stocked.

This was a cute, 3 bedroom home that was perfect for our family. It was close to hiking and the beaches. The home exceeded our expectations!

The home was perfect for our family plus a well behaved poodle. Nothing fancy or brand new so it made ya feel very comfortable. My only complaint would be that the picture of the home makes it look like it is secluded. It is not. The neighbors are very close and there is zero yard for a dog. However the neighbors were nice and a grass area for the dog was within a blocks walk.

The house was very clean and well furnished. We loved the private deck. The two full bathrooms were perfect for our family. Bed downstairs very comfortable. Loved the kids room - great décor and toys. I liked the supply of movies, games and books. The parking wasn't great nor the proximity with the neighbors, but the neighborhood was very quiet so you really didn't notice. Would definitely stay again.

The kids room was a treat for my grandson. We all enjoyed the games puzzles & doll house.
Maryjo B. Jul 2018
The house was big enough for us to gather with other family and have dinner and lots of books and toys for the kids.

The house accommodated our family nicely. Love the private patio. We had good family time on it. The house Is in an odd location not disclosed well in the ad. The main bed downstairs may not have been cleaned prior to our arrival as there was a bundled up kleenex it. The coffee pots built in carafe was still full and very moldy. Glad I looked in before making our morning brew. Ick! No dishwasher soap so all dishes were cleaned by hand. Not a problem but it should have been stocked or mentioned to bring your own detergent. We still enjoyed ourselves a great deal and may try the place again. Overall good.

The green house is surrounded by the forest and just simply lovely

The amenities were comfortable and the location quiet. The house is conveniently located less than 5 minutes from Manzanita and nestled in Nehalem Bay.
The wood stove made the house warm and cozy!

This is a nice little house. The loft bedroom has a nice (probably) queen size bed but there really isn't a lot of privacy. The house is about a 5-10 minute drive to Manzanita over back roads. The neighborhood is mostly a mix of small houses or mobile homes and mostly well kept. It was pretty quiet in the evenings and at night. If you don't need to be in walking distance of stores or the beach it is a great way to visit the Oregon coast at a reasonable rate.

We enjoyed the loft and open layout of this house, but the distance from the beach and the neighborhood were detractors.
Jim S. Aug 2017
When we travel to the beach we prefer to view the ocean. This was
more oriented to the inside. (even though beach was a short distance away,
it was car dependent)
But it was a very "comfortable" place to be
with No ocean view. Probably would look for ocean view next time, but
in august very few accommodations.
Also VERY close neighbors, but very quiet and not bothered by it.
Diane F. Jul 2017
Clean and bright. Close to beach and stores. We'd stay again!

Great and cute little house short drive from the beach with all necessary Amenatties for a good stay.

Our Labor Day Week camping trip got cut short due to rain so on a whim we looked into a beach stay. The beach in September is beautiful and we scored a few days of perfect weather. I would not have expected a vacation rental in Nehalem, but glad I looked into it. This house is nestled in a working class neighborhood - not a neighborhood filled with vacation rentals and fancy houses. But it's a perfect location for a place to crash with all the standard amenities, comfy furniture, modern decor, and lots of light. You are within walking distance of downtown Nehalm and its restaurants and shops, as well as a very quick drive into Manzanita and Nehalem Bay State Park. This is a great option for a family who wants a base camp while exploring the area and doesn't want to pay Manzanita/Arch Cape/Cannon Beach rates. I recommend and will book again.
