Dog-friendly home only five blocks from Heavenly Mountain Resort

Stay in vibrant South Lake Tahoe in this extremely cozy, three-bedroom vacation home tucked away in a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood, but only five short blocks away from Heavenly Mountain Resort! Wonderful for family ski vacations, couples traveling together to see the sights, or just friends getting together to hike and fish, this comfortable getaway will be sure to please.

The living room has a large sectional sofa, a wood burning stove for those chilly Lake Tahoe evenings, and a TV with cable and a DVD player. Just pop the popcorn and settle in for a movie marathon while the snow falls down outside. There's also plenty of room on the coffee table for a board game or two after dinner.

On summer Fridays, it's a nice stroll or quick bike ride to the South Lake Tahoe Farmers Market on Ski Run Boulevard to pick up produce for dinner or fresh flowers for the table. With seating for six, the dining room has a spot for everyone at meals, or space enough to sit around and plan out the day's events. The kitchen is large and bright with all the major appliances required for creating delicious vacation meals. There's enough counter space for helpers to chop vegetables for a delicious salad. Also on the main level is a half bathroom with a washer and dryer for guest use.

Upstairs, the master bedroom has a king-sized bed, a bright, cheery color scheme, TV, and en suite bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and walk-in shower. The second bedroom has a full bed, and the third has two twin beds -- perfect for kids or friends that want to share a room. All bedrooms have a nice, comfortable design with bedside tables, reading lamps, tasteful wall art, and colorful bedding. There is also an additional full bathroom upstairs. This home will comfortably sleep six guests, with a maximum occupancy of eight.

Boasting an amazing location right near all the best of South Lake Tahoe, this home is just five blocks from Heavenly Mountain Resort. In the winter, enjoy world-class downhill skiing and snowboarding, all the while enjoying some of the most breathtaking scenery in the western United States. Afterwards, you can stop at the new Tamarack Lodge bar and restaurant at the top of the mountain for drinks and snacks. In the nearby Eldorado and Toiyabe National Forests there are ample opportunities for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling.

In summer, the same walk to Heavenly will take you to a breathtaking ride on the Heavenly Gondola. After the initial scenic climb, you'll want to get off at the observation deck for panoramic photos of the area, then continue onto the Tamarack Express chairlift for artisan pizza and cocktails up at the lodge. For a little more adventure at 9,000 feet up, bring your hiking boots and pick one of the many beautiful trails to spend some time exploring. There are routes from beginner to expert and maps available to plot your adventure. Other Lake Tahoe summer activities include fishing, Lake Tahoe scenic cruises, biking, swimming, golfing, beachcombing, and more.

On nights when you don't want to prepare meals or clean up afterwards, the only trouble you'll have is deciding on a restaurant! With choices including The Naked Fish for sushi, Blue Dog Gourmet Pizza for delectable pies, Nepheles for fine dining, and a number of other eateries at Heavenly Village, you'll never run out of places to try. And of course, just across the Nevada state line, there's gambling, entertainment, and even more restaurants at the casinos. Summer or winter, you'll find that everything that South Lake Tahoe offers is just steps from this cozy vacation home!

We were all very pleased with this house!! The location was perfect, within walking distance to shopping and casinos. Everything inside the house was clean, and very comfortable. We would definitely stay at this house again next time we plan a vacation in Tahoe.

We planned a last minute trip to Tahoe and didn't have a dog sitter. This place accepted dogs and the company was easy to call and ask questions before booking. The house is outdated but who cares? It's only a few blocks from Heavenly Village and walking distance to almost anything. There's no wifi at the house but we took this time to enjoy each other instead of having our noses stuck in electronics. Overall it was a great trip and we plan to stay here again

Hello, I rented this place for my friends bachelors weekend and we were all pleased with this place. It was walking distance to anything really, clean, and affordable. It was a little out dated but the best priced place I could find. The way I see it the more stylish you go the more expensive it'll be. This place was perfect for any type of weekend.

This home is is very comfortable, interestingly built on a bit of an angle so you can see up the mountain from the master bedroom and the dining room/kitchen. You can walk to many restaurants, four blocks or less, a hardware store, big grocery store, coffee shops etc. You can walk to the Gondola for skiing but if carrying equipment it will be a little much but do-able. Nice large ski snowboard store in the shopping center too. The bedrooms and bathrooms are nice and comfortable, mattress is a little flat and firm. Everything is upgraded and new as far as kitchen and bathrooms. New washer and dryer. It needs new television sets, if you are driving bring a small led set to plug in, we wish we had. This is a great home to rent overall!!

The home was clean and comfortable, although very dark and dated decor. Pet friendly and easy to have our dog. We would have liked outdoor patio or area to relax and enjoy the beautiful climate, and perhaps BBQ.

We enjoyed our most recent trip to South Tahoe - as usual - and this property was a very good fit for us. We are always appreciative of pet friendly places and try to leave a good impression on renters by having well behaved pets, so thanks again for allowing us to bring Fido. One thing that would be nice would be providing Wifi. Not a deal breaker for us but others might look for an internet connection.

My friends and I have stayed in this home twice and have not been disappointed. It is a great location and a comfy home with comfy beds. The fireplace is also a nice touch. Perfect for a weekend trip with friends!

The location is quiet and very central to local attractions. We all enjoyed our stay.

The cabin is in the older side but it's clean. A little upgrade on furniture and window trims would be nice. It is more in the darker side. Would love to see more lights or brighter lights in the living room area. The back fence needs to be fixed. I was worried that my dog run out to the other side. It would be nice if we could let the dog play in the back yard without too much supervision.

The kitchen wares a little outdated. It was hard to use pots and pans that are not usable and in poor conditions.
Would be great to have a can opener. More cooking utensils. More plates and mugs /cups/glasses.
The property does not have any basic spices or oil or anything like that... so be sure to bring them from home or pick up at the grocery if you are planning to cook. Grocery is just 2 mins away...

    Bedding.
The master bedroom red bedding was dirty. Found a couple spots. I would not use it. Need to provide more blankets. Yes there is heater in the cabin but I personally can't sleep with the heater on.

Situated in the city of So Lake Tahoe, and close to shops, restaurants, markets, Harrah's, etc., this large house was wonderful to vacation in. Full kitchen, and nicely furnished house. We enjoyed our 5 night stay there very much.

I don't think we will stay here again. I called the management/maintenance number provided but could only get a recording. Left a message but no one returned my call.

The fence needs to be replaced. If you bring a pet it could easily hop over the back fence which was crushed and only 2 ft tall. The backyard was full of trash. Clearly no one checks or maintains it. Dog feces, plastic, lobster claws, you name it and it was scattered in the backyard.

Several lamps throughout the house were missing bulbs and there were no replacement bulbs. The lights that did work had very low wattage bulbs so it was rather dark inside the house, especially the living room area. The carpet needed to be vacuumed.

I did like the mudroom area, it was convenient for storing our ski gear.

I don't think we will stay here again.

    Manager Response:

We are disappointed to see that you would not return to this rental. We are actively hiring more personnel to assist on the phones so that we are easier to reach and can respond in a more timely manner. The Property Manager will discuss the fence with the owner and will also make sure that housekeeping addresses the trash in the backyard, the light bulbs, and the vacuuming.

    pros:
    - near plenty of restaurants and shops
    - walking distance from casino and heavenly (a bit of a walk but doable)
    - amenities were nice (tv, towels, washer/dryer, little shampoos)
    - easy check in and check out process. Had a nice check off list on the fridge for us
    - Had board games available, which was a nice touch
    - good amount of bathrooms available so we didn't have to all share one

    cons
    - decor inside was a bit outdated looking. I also wasn't a big fan of the fence
    - alarm kept beeping when we first got in (motion censored?) Check-in instructions said alarm code N/A but we did have to turn it off to stop the beeping
    - I know it stated that there was no internet, but it would've been a nice plus

We chose this property since it was very close to the gondola and shops. Was a short walk to the grocery store, restaurants, and to the ski gondola. Overall very pleasant.

Was among the most affordable properties in the area. Overall very clean, spacious and functional. Some maintenance had been overlooked (porch light wasn't working; kitchen equipment needs replacing; one layer of a double-paned window had a crack). Was frustrating to only be supplied one key to the property.

This location is good for groups. My friends and I had a fun stay. The boardgames(life, scrabble, monopoly) provided were great. We especially liked that this location was close to heavenly, several grocery stores, 7-11, and the lake. Kitchen is well stocked with various tools(measuring cups, spatula, mixer, potato mashers, coffee maker, etc), but I would recommend that you bring your own chefs knife if you plan on doing a lot of cooking. The house provides several steak knives but lacks a solid and sharp all purpose knife for regular usage.
I also brought my dog and he had a great time.

Great location due to the proximity to raley's shopping center and the gondola ride. The neighbors can be quite loud with yelling at night and dogs barking, and street noise can also be loud. I brought ear plugs to sleep so the noise didn't bother me, but they kept both my kids up (6 and 3 year old) until I closed their windows. Plenty of room for the 4 of us, and quite comfy and cozy.

Very nice house inside. A little out dated but very cozy. The house was big enough for the eight of us. Washer and dryer was great and also the 2-1/2 bathrooms. The only draw backs is there were no dresser drawers in any of the three bed rooms and only one critter proof trash can. We would consider staying here again.

    Hi,

My only input on improvement is to consider adding wi-fi access to the cabin.

That is pretty much it. It was a great house and in great conditions.

Moss Mtn Cabin has a nice interior. There are roomy bedrooms, enough closets and bathrooms to accommodate many. We enjoyed having a TV in the master bedroom and also a jacuzzi tub. It was close to the casinos if gambling is your thing and plenty to do on the south shore!

    Manager Response:

Thank you for the kind review. We thank you for staying with us, and look forward to your next visit.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. There is room for the entire family including the furry members. We spent most of our time on the beach but enjoyed cooking breakfast and dinner every day.

There is no need to bring games, they have plenty. Walking to the Heavenly shops and the casinos was about a 5/10 min. easy walk.

    Manager Response:

Its always great to hear our guests enjoyed their stay so much. Thank you for this feedback! We hope to see you again soon.

I was there for 3 nights 4 days, i had amazing experiance. We pretty much did all the fun stuff that has to do with the lake. Its about 3 minutes from the house to lake. Everything was really good, the house was ready to move in. Games, cofee maker, toaster everything just like ur own house. Will recomend everyoneeeeee.

Everything was great with this house. Few things which can be added/provided - Bigger barbeque grill, hot tub (currently has a one person jacuzzi), oven mitts.

    Manager Response:

Thank you for your great review and feedback. We always appreciate suggestions to improve the properties and will address your feedback in regards to the hot tub and BBQ. We will certainly add some oven mitts immediately. Thanks again and come see us again soon!
