Forget about the stress and business of your weekly routine and delve into the simple life for a while on your next trip to the coast. This studio condo has a cozy atmosphere, entertainment, and a dog-friendly attitude that is perfect for a relaxing solo getaway or for up to two guests to make memories together!
A private, self-contained apartment located on the ground floor of a three-story house in quiet Oceanside, Le Petit Cabine offers a great refuge for those looking to escape for some peaceful relaxation. Drive (or walk carefully) just down the road to get some coffee at one of two cafés in town, or dine on delicious seafood while taking in dramatic views of Three Arch Rocks at Roseanna's Café. There are several convenience stores just down the road in Netarts and larger grocery stores nearby in Tillamook.
The condo itself has simple, mid-century furnishings that make it feel like a retro cabin in the woods. The soft lighting and faux (electric) wood stove are guaranteed to make you feel cozy in any season. Between the record player, a collection of books, flatscreen TV, DVD/Blu-ray player, and Netflix streaming over WiFi, you'll have plenty to keep your mind occupied and happy.
Whip up quick snacks and breakfast in the kitchenette, which has a coffeemaker, microwave, toaster, and a mini fridge, as well as essential utensils. It's perfect for saving money by making easy meals, then storing and reheating delicious leftovers!
Dine at the table inside or head out to the chairs on the patio to enjoy the fresh air on nice days. Your dog will love the outdoor area, as well, should you choose to bring him/her (please note a one-dog limit and a small, nightly pet fee).
When bedtime arrives, the queen-size, memory foam futon folds down to make a comfortable bed for two. The full-size bathroom features a stand-up shower and cedar paneling, continuing the cozy cabin theme.
This studio is perfect for an individual or a couple looking to get away to a quiet place on the coast. The beach in Oceanside is peaceful and scenic with a cluster of giant rocks emerging from the tide. Be sure to walk through the tunnel at Maxwell Point to reach a less crowded stretch of beach. When you want to do some exploring, drive straight up the coast a few miles to Cape Meares to see the famous Octopus Tree as well as the Cape Meares Lighthouse. There are also several hiking trails nearby offering dramatic vistas and whale watching, such as at Cape Lookout State Park.
Pay a visit to Netarts just south of the condo to eat at The Schooner Restaurant & Lounge or at Upstairs Bar & Grill. Netarts Bay is a great place to go clamming and crabbing in the right season. Continue south and you'll find yourself at Cape Lookout State Park, which offers more lovely trails and viewpoints where you'll feel a refreshing sense of isolation at the edge of the world.
