Cozy studio condo in the woods w/ entertainment & beach access nearby - dog ok!

A private, self-contained home located on the ground floor of a three-story house in quiet Oceanside, Le Petit Cabine offers a great refuge for those looking for some peaceful relaxation. The condo features simple, mid-century furnishings that make it feel like a retro cabin in the woods. The soft lighting and faux (electric) wood stove are guaranteed to make you feel cozy in any season. Between the record player, a collection of books, flatscreen TV, DVD/Blu-ray player, and Netflix streaming with free WiFi, you'll have plenty of activities during your stay. Whip up quick snacks and breakfast in the kitchenette, which has a coffeemaker, hot plate, microwave, toaster, and a mini-fridge, as well as essential utensils. Your dog will love the outdoor area (please note a one-dog limit and a small, nightly pet fee). The beach in Oceanside is peaceful and scenic with a cluster of giant rocks emerging from the tide.

What's nearby:
Pay a visit to Netarts, just south of the condo, to eat at The Schooner Restaurant & Lounge or at Upstairs Bar & Grill. Netarts Bay is a great place to go clamming and crabbing in the right season. Continue south, and you'll find yourself at Cape Lookout State Park, which offers more lovely trails and vistas. Be sure to walk through the tunnel at Maxwell Point to reach a less crowded stretch of beach. There are also several hiking trails nearby offering dramatic views and whale watching, such as at Cape Lookout State Park. Drive (or walk carefully) just down the road to get some coffee at one of two cafés in town, or visit Roseanna's Café to dine on delicious seafood while taking in dramatic views of Three Arch Rocks. There are several convenience stores just down the road in Netarts and larger grocery stores nearby in Tillamook.

Studio was as described and very close to my favorite beach. Stay was pleasant but room smelled of mold. That area is very wet so im not surprised. You get used to the damp, musty smell but then every time you go out and return it hits you again when you open the door. Cleaning crew left a sock under bed and some food under the chairs but otherwise comfortable and warm!
Manager response:
Thank you for sharing your feedback, Noelle! We are glad to hear that overall you enjoyed your stay. We apologize if the cleanliness of the home left something to be desired, and we will follow up with our housekeeping team to see that future cleans are completed to our standards. We hope to have another chance to impress you in the future!

Super cute little place. Clean and cozy. We lucked out in that there were no others staying in the 2 apts above us so we had the place to ourselves. Oceanside Beach was just down the hill from us and Cape Meares was about a 5 minute drive up the road. Great location! I appreciated the special touches like the nice glassware, clean sponge, cute space heater, record player and extra towels and blankets.

This place was a good getaway and well located for the price.

However, the bed was really uncomfortable (the foam mattress pad has seemingly broken down) because it was so soft. I can sleep ANYWHERE but this bed was so soft that sleep was elusive at times.

Also, there is no where to eat. With restaurants being mostly unsafe to eat in, where can one eat their takeout? There is a small side table and two overstuff chairs but no where one can sit and eat. I resorted to eating on the bed...not ideal.
Manager response:
Hi Brie, thank you for your feedback. We apologize if the bed was uncomfortable and there was nowhere to sit while eating. We will make sure the local staff is aware so they may review further. We provide photos, a virtual tour, a unit description, and a list of available amenities so that future guests know exactly what they will be seeing upon arrival. We would love to host you again soon.

We stayed with our dog, and it was perfect for the three of us. Nice comfy bed, and useful kitchenette with a toaster oven, microwave, fridge, and hot plate.

Great space for 2 people!

It’s a great one room rental for two people and a dog. I don’t have any complaints just a couple heads up. It did at times get stuffy even with the windows and door open. Then because you're on the bottom floor of a three floors you hear it all, like you would in an apartment setting, and with people walking on the decks or stairs it does get a little noisy at times. But even with that being said I would still stay here again and highly recommend it for anybody. It’s close to the beach or the light house at the top of the road is a great little stop.

Easy to get to

Loved it just right for me and my husband . Suggestions: put some brochures what to see around, put some air freshener and most especially put like a little pathway towards the cabin instead of big rocks. Other than that we in joyed our stayed
Manager response:
We appreciate this feedback and seeing the home was a great fit for our guests. We do provide a Trip Portal guests can access through their check-in email which lists places in town to go for fun or food. Thank you!

I took my 4 year old to visit family. All we needed was a place to sleep and hang out. The beach is really close. It’s small but it all we needed.

I would have given it five stars, but It had a bad smell, and a lot of the dishes were dirty in the cupboards. My daughter opened the thermostat hung above the kitchen sink, and it had old brown liquid in it. Other than that it was absolutely perfect! The futon is super comfortable! We will definitely be returniby...
Manager response:
We appreciate the guests feedback. We have since gone into the unit and done a deep clean as well as taken care of the thermostat.

If you want to unplug and reset yourself alone or with a loved one, this is ideal. Very simple and basic. Just dont expect much tech wise. Spotty cell phone range and sparse internet. Bring games, books, download good tunes :-)

This is a great place to stay if you want to go back to the days of crashing on a stranger's couch (or in this case, a futon) and finding creative ways to feed yourself. With the coffeepot the only appliance capable of boiling water and no more than an ice cube tray as a freezer, any meals promised at being able to make takes a bit of ingenuity. If that's your game, then YES! This is a great location in a quiet spot and close to Oceanside Beach and Cape Lookout State Park.
Manager response:
We apologize if cooking was difficult during this reservation. The property manager has added a hot plate, pots and pans, and there is a toaster oven and mini-fridge as well. Thank you!

I stayed at this home to getaway from the city. It exceeded my expectations. Oceanside is a small, quiet beach town with scenes that are up there with the best in the world. Tillamook is also a short drive away for groceries and other amenities.
