This place was perfect for us and the dogs. Lovely morning views and fires on the deck in the evening. We are retiring in a few years in this area and this place gave us a taste of things to come.

Sweet cottage. Great family setting. We loved it!

The place and location were great, would definitely stay here again!

Loved the beach access. Going down those stairs was an adventure in itself. We had thanksgiving dinner out on the porch with the propane heater, which was lovely.

This was my second time staying at this property and again, I just loved it. The sunrises are pure magic. This time we stayed WITH our two kids and they had so much fun playing with the seashells, romping in the backyard, throwing rocks on the beach and getting into all kinds of other fun. We will definitely be back a third time!

This charming home was the perfect place for a girls getaway for three nights. Even though it rained nearly the whole time, we had cozy fires inside and out on the covered porch! The house is older but newly decorated and comfortable. Not over the top luxury, but the perfect amount of quaint charm and comfort. We found nearly everything we needed there, but had read reviews and came prepared with our own spices and some essential cooking pieces. Definitely helped to shop for groceries on the way. We even brought an extra propane tank but when we arrived there were three! Perhaps others had left some behind. If you are expecting perfection, this may not be your place. But if you like the charm of an older home that’s been decorated with more modern aesthetics, and love a covered porch and water view…this is the spot! And the price matched :)

We thought this was a home that we were renting but turned out to be a one bathroom cabin. We had wood heat and a propane heater that we could not use due to the fact that the propane tanks were empty and they couldn’t get anyone to bring us any. The rooms are poorly situated for example they blocked a bedroom window with a view with the headboard of the bed??? This is not luxury so be sure your expectations are aligned.
Manager response:
We're sorry about the delay in getting propane to you and appreciate your patience as we worked to find someone available to deliver it. Hopefully we can better impress you next time!

Bring your rubber spat, egg pan and good knives, paper goods, condiments, dish soap. Beds are very good to adequate. Great layout. Lots of linen supplied. Washer dryer a big plus. Great open floor plan. Loved the deck with BBQ and large table. Bring your Amazon Fire for Golf Channel, etc. Lots of good golf nearby. Rent the Scout 17’ for a fun boat ride. Bring your food for the first few days. Grocery store is half an hour ride other than mini mart. I’d go back next weekend.

We loved the open feel to the home & it was so nice to let the dogs explore the huge yard, knowing it was fully fenced. Will definitely stay again.

Reminded me of lake homes in northern MN, where I come from. It is a very comfortable place.

We had 6 friends rent this house for a weekend away. It was a great location and we loved the house. The view, the fireplace, the on-deck fireplace and the indoor fireplace made for a cozy weekend. I was dissapointed in the housekeeping. The fridge was dirty, there was wet laundry in the dryer, and there were no kitchen towels. Vacasa did offer to rectify everything, but we only there for two nights. I would stay there again, but would hope some of these details would be improved.

Cute, updated, cozy cottage. Very clean. Several things that one should be aware of. The "stairs" to the beach should be described as a ladder. Sturdy, but they need to be used as a ladder. We had to carry our small dog , so big dogs would never be able to use this. Zero provisions in the kitchen. There was a salt shaker but no salt. And the tv came on but had no way to access the channels. I tried for 3 days to have someone come out to fix it and it never happened. Besides this, the place was great. Lots of firewood. Also be aware that any dining or shopping is a 20 min drive, other than a wonderful Mexican restaurant and pizza place and a gas station minimart.
Manager response:
Hello Janie, thank you for staying with us. We apologize for the issues you experienced during your stay and appreciate your feedback. The remote had been previously damaged and needed to be replaced and reprogrammed. Please also note this home does not offer cable only the option for streaming services. We do supply a starter supply of items such as toilet paper, paper towels, laundry soap, and dish soap to ensure the first night of their stay starts off well. We do not supply spices or food items in the home. We hope you'll stay with us again!

Our family had a great time. House fit us all well and was comfortable. We especially liked the outdoor living space with the fireplace and beautiful view. Nice big yard for the dog.
Stairs to the beach are sketchy, be careful.
We would definitely rent here again.

We loved our stay, this house is great! The interior is beautiful and comfortable with a great kitchen, the MOST comfortable bed and a comfy open floor plan. But the covered porch was the best! A huge covered porch with a big table, two BBQ's and the coolest outdoor fireplace and seating area with heater. We had such a cozy winter getaway.

The yard is huge and this house really is perfect for all seasons, cozy during the cold and the yard and porch would be great in the summer. The view is pretty as well.

Two things to note: the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need for cooking, one of the best kitchens I have experienced in a rental, but no left behind oils, etc so bring all your food items. Also, no aluminum foil, plastic bags etc so bring that too. A store is just up the street by car if you need last minute items. I loved cooking in the beautiful kitchen and drinking out of the cute vintage glassware! The second is the stairs to the beach, TRUST the reviews. It is steep, descending a bluff, and the stairs truly are like a ladder. Not fit for kids, dogs or elderly. When I read the reviews I thought it couldn't be as extreme as they said but it is and I am an active adult. They were pretty tough. You can enjoy this house fully without beach access but take note if you want to enjoy the beach. There is an upper landing if people don't want to go all the way down but the views from the lawn and the house are great.
We will definitely go back to this house and I have already shared with friends, great find!

Charming, beautiful and unique little spot. Loved the decor and all the custom touches. The covered back deck was amazing as were the views. The wood stove was so cozy in the chilly weather. The stairs were down to the beach were sturdy but quite steep so I recommend caution. The beach itself was lovely. We'll definitely be back!

We loved the home but some problems could be fixed. The home was decorated well and the porch was absolutely amazing with a giant dining table and a great fireplace to enjoy while over looking the water. The yard is massive and if you have dogs it seems to be completely fenced in.

The negatives: the tap water smelled so bad. It was hard to even take a shower. Even the washer have if the smell. Bring bottled water!
Manager response:
Hi, Roxanne! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. The sulfurous smell in the water is common in mineral-rich areas of the Pacific Northwest; there is a slight odor, but it is safe for use. There is a Brita filter provided in the fridge for drinking water. Thank you so much!

I love this place, it has everything you need to fully relax and refresh. It has great morning sun that makes it feel warmer on the fabulous wrap around porch. The porch is amazing with a beautiful fireplace for when it cools down at night. The facilities are pretty great with awesome games for all ages, well stacked kitchen and beach at the bottom of the garden.
The beach is pretty secluded and when the tide is out there is always a spot to keep shaded from sun and/or wind
To note that while this is beachfront the steps down to the beach need to be done with great care and I would not recommend this for very small children

The house is in a serene location with a lovely porch, yard and ocean views. Our issues were largely with the management of the property, which began with a 2 hour delay in checking in while we waited for the cleaning service to finishe. Once inside, we found the property less than immaculate and had to spend another hour ourselves cleaning dust bunnies from under beds and folding towels left in the dryer. There were very few basic supplies and kitchen staples--from garbage bags to hand soap in the bathroom to table salt. There were lamps in the living room missing light bulbs. The gas tanks for the outdoor grill and heater were both empty. We received quick and friendly support when we requested replacements but only received one of the two tanks needed. Would recommend the property with caveats.
Manager response:
Hi Peter, Thank you for your feedback. We apologize that our services didn't meet your expectations. Ensuring each guest has a pleasant experience is important to us. We hope we have the opportunity to impress you in the future.

The house, the location, everything was perfect! The fire places were so awesome. The water did have a smell like sulfur. We want to come back!!!
Moises R. Nov 2019
It was pretty cold outside during our stay so the wood stove was very nice. It was a very quiet neighborhood and the view of the water was great.
Verena S. Oct 2019
Home was well-equipped and made for a lovely long weekend away with the kids. Liked the tea and coffee facilities, especially with the rainy weather
Peggy m. Oct 2019
The price was very reasonable, all the windows very open, yet very cozy. The woodburning stove on the porch was fantastic. Drawbacks were not right on the water, and we saw no ship traffic.
Bryan B. May 2019
This house had a nice floor plan and a great deck. New modern furniture and well equipped kitchen. In a quiet neighborhood and gated yard for dogs.
Brenda N. May 2019
The house was comfortable and had everything you needed including a washer and dryer. Clean and private.
We spent more time on the back deck than any where else in the house. Bedrooms were comfortable as well as the bedding.
Only thing we were not able to do was get down to the beach. The stairway leading down there is VERY steep. You’d have to walk backwards and hold on as if you were on a ladder. This home was also dog friendly which we loved. We’d stay here again if we’re ever in the Port Townsend/ Port Ludlow area :)

My family and i enjoyed our stay at the peaceful Port Ludlow escape home. The home was setup nicely, it was clean, and the view was magnificent.
Bridget C. Nov 2018
We had a restful time here. Too short!
Sara H. Aug 2018
We loved our recent trip to Port Ludlow and this house! The yard was huge and fully fenced with beautiful flower gardens an a view of the water. Our dog was so excited to run and play! This house was so well stocked! My lighter for the fire place ran out, but they had one -same with salt/pepper, marshmallow roasting sticks, coffee filters etc. I loved watching the sun come up from the amazing deck.
Bed was super comfy as was the furniture. I loved that they had a whole basket of blankets for the chilly nights. We played yard croquet and climbed down the steps to the waterfront. A great place if you have kids!
I feel like this was a little out of the way-not much in Port Ludlow although they do have a tiny store and a few restaurants. We did find this beautiful waterfall trail right in town though! But it was a great central location between the National Forest, port Townsend, Hurricane Ridge and several lavender and Cider Farms. Lots to see and do!

Great outdoor space for friends and family. A quiet and peaceful retreat.
