We have traveled domestically and internationally over the past 15 years. We have been to Silverthorne 3 times since 2020.
The check in experience with Vacasa was tremendously subpar.

We attempted to get into the unit at 4:15PM. We did not gain access until 6:30PM. The front door code supplied did not work. A phone call to the Vacasa number on the reservation email had us talking with an out of state rep. They assured me in “10 minutes someone would be there to let us in”. 30 min past. I called back. 46 minutes into that phone call, with 3 more door entry codes that did not work, they had no solutions. It was cold, my two kids were soaking wet shoes, and my wife drove down the street to Target to use the ladies room. The Vacasa rep had me walking into someone’s yard in the group of townhouses, in knee deep snow, looking for a lock box for a real key to circumvent the code(a real key was my suggestion not theirs). Another unit owner came out, as he could see me in his yard from his kitchen, and asked me what was going on. I had Vacasa on the line on speaker and said they told me there is a key in a lockbox over here. That’s when I said “hey guys, get me in another unit right now, I’m sick of this____”. Yep I added some words too. The customer service rep (Ashley) told me I can’t speak to her that way. I said get the local guy / gal over here with a real key to unlock the dang door. Or a garage code. Something. If you can’t do that, get me in a new unit.
Sonehow at that point they dumped my call to Shelby, a local-ish Vacasa rep in Leadville as 6PM neared. Because of Shelby she had her local Maintenance guy go burn 3 keys at The hardware store. Then I get call from the previous unhelpful out of State Vacasa rep named Ashley. She tells me at 6:15 or so, “we are refunding your stay and you can find lodging elsewhere”. I said hold on. I added Shelby to the call and said “hey tell this to Shelby”.
It turns out that was the 800 numbers solution. You got a problem and express frustration after 2 hours in the cold? They’ll just kick you to the curb.
Shelby offered $300 off of the ~$500 Vacasa fee. Which will take 6-8 weeks to arrive. The Vacasa 800 number asked for my address, because they didn’t have it. I said “you can’t get that from my registration?!”

This is our first and last booking with Vacasa.

The area of Silverthorne is a vast ocean full of 3 bedroom townhomes and condos in this price range. This experience is unbelievably absurd.

Additionally the unit had the following issues:
-hazardous 4” thick dirt/grime/oil/frozen ice as you walk in to the unit(not from a recent snow, this was weeks worth of unkept maintenance)
-when you took a shower (in any bathroom) the hot cold variance was drastic. If it’s a hot water on demand system, it needs fixed asap. Taking a shower was trying, having to be ready to move the shower faucet quickly when it would suddenly get ice cold.
-The washing machine smelled like it's rotting inside (no one has cleaned it in quite some time)
-the ice smelled like fish(confirmed by two of the 3 adult guests)
-the unit still had Christmas Decor
-there were 4 total washcloths and ZERO hand towels (and this unit claims to sleep 5 adults?)
-Two beds I had to remake, one had a bare mattress pad
-Zero dishwasher detergent (they asked us to run it before we left, we could not)
- 3 trash bags for the kitchen, we ran out and had to use Target bags
-ZERO Kleenex, 2 of 4 bathrooms had no hand soap, and we had to buy toilet tissue as the supply was limited to the paper holders.

I do like the Ponds area and Sauce on the Blue was as good as ever.

The house is even better than the pictures. Great central location to all the nearby ski resorts. My only complaint is the lock to the front door can be somewhat difficult.

We had a wonderful time in Silverthorne! A couple of people in the party snowboarded in Breckenridge, which is a short drive away. All of us spent time in Frisco for shopping and dining out. The German restaurant there is amazing! The townhouse was everything promised in the listing, and then some. The house was extremely clean, there was an abundance of towels, start-up toiletries and paper goods were provided, and the place was tastefully decorated. Guest comfort was obviously important for this owner, because they provided extras, such as a towel warmer, spices, and cozy throws. Many thanks to the owner for providing such a wonderful and comfortable experience -- we will return! This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

Great rental. Location was perfect. This property was the cleanest I have ever rented. The hot tub and patio was a plus. We enjoyed eating outdoors and enjoyed the view. The hummingbirds came by to enjoy the larkspur and Columbine. Would stay here again. This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

Beds were great. View was beautiful.saw an eagle fly over the pond. The blue river was so close.. I wish they did better upkeep inside. Toilet downstairs broke twice. Many things broken inside I had to request to be repaired while I was there. I actually had someone there almost daily cleaning or repairing the home. I didn`t have the privacy I wanted because of it.

The place was spotless, the location is super convenient to everything while still feeling somewhat secluded.
The little pond in front makes for lovely views and a really relaxing place to sit.
The hot tub was great and well positioned.
Finally the kitchen seems really well stocked with everything you would want (plastic cups for the hot tub, all types of cookware and tableware).
