- Parking notes: During the winter, Hwy 89 is closed at Emerald Bay due to avalanche danger. If you are arriving from Hwy 50 in South Lake Tahoe, you'll have to drive around the whole lake in order to access this home. County regulations prohibit RVs, trailers, boats, snowmobiles, or other recreational vehicles at the property.
