Make Forgotten Coast your next getaway

Stretching from Mexico Beach to St. Marks, Florida’s Forgotten Coastis one of the last truly undeveloped stretches of the state’s Gulf shoreline. Known for its sugar-white beaches, rustic seafood shacks, and tranquil small towns, this region offers an escape from the crowds and concrete of Florida’s more commercial destinations. If you’re looking for peace, nature, and slower days by the water, the Forgotten Coast is exactly where you want to be.

So close to surf and very cozy.

Was the perfect Thanksgiving getaway. Loved the mid century vibe.

Family thanksgiving at both As Pelicans Pass and A Wise way. Two homes side by side was perfect for closeness and privacy. We filled both homes. Great kitchen, almost like home, with everything we needed. I think this needs to be a tradition. Comfortable new furniture upgrades, and nice linens. Wide private beach with amazing views.

Why visit the Forgotten Coast?

The Forgotten Coast is Florida as it once was: simple, scenic, and community-driven. It’s perfect for travelers who prefer long beach walks over flashier boardwalks and fresh oysters over chain restaurants. With miles of protected coastline, nature preserves, and low-rise beach towns like Apalachicola and Port St. Joe, this region caters to those craving space, seclusion, and charm. Whether you’re vacationing with family or escaping solo to the sea, the Forgotten Coast offers all the relaxation you need and none of the noise you don’t.
