Sometimes, you just need an escape. No matter how busy life gets, know that you can rest safe and sound in our Conconully vacation rentals for well-deserved R&R. Whether you load up the poles and the boots for summertime hunting and fishing or the beanies and fleece jackets for wintertime snowmobiling, this quaint, 200-person town has plenty to offer!
Charming, idyllic Conconully is tucked behind the Cascades in North Central Washington, right next to our Okanogan vacation rentals. Only an hour north of Lake Chelan, it's easy to combine vacations if you're traveling to both destinations. Whether you're coming from Spokane (around 150 miles away) or Seattle (about 240 miles away), a visit to Conconully is the perfect excuse for a family getaway!
Wilderness and the great outdoors await among these Conconully vacation rentals! In this part of Washington State, you'll find hot, dry summers and cold, snowy winters, perfect for whichever activities suit your fancy. Visit in December for holiday festivities, with everything from a lighting ceremony to a chance to meet Santa Claus riding on a snowmobile! Want to try your hand at snowmobiling yourself? The Butte Busters Snowmobile Club can give you some advice! Afterwards, watch the sled dogs at the Snow Dog Super Mush, held every January. When the weather warms up, visitors can't miss the 4th of July celebration, with everything from a car show to a fabulous parade through town.
Conconully's best (and weirdest) annual event has to be the Outhouse Races every January. Teams of three race through town on outhouses on skis (yes you heard that right) for wonderful prizes and eternal glory. If you plan to enter, make sure that your outhouse sits on top of skis, is constructed entirely out of wood, and includes both a seat and toilet paper to keep with the theme.
Conconully has plenty of events to keep you occupied all year long, but if you find yourself with a free day and a tank of gas, it's worth trying out one of these fantastic day trips right nearby! The closest is the Grand Coulee Dam on the Columbia River, just a 50-mile drive away. The Grand Coulee is the largest electric power-producing dam in the country, and when you visit, it's easy to see why. Explore the massive facilities, including a visitor center and guided tour. Summertime visitors can stay until sundown for the laser light show on the dam.
From our Conconully vacation rentals, it's only 100 miles to Leavenworth for Bavarian-themed buildings, delicious food in authentic pubs, and a plethora of festivals all year long – don't miss Oktoberfest!
Families love Conconully for its peace, tranquility, and quirky festivals. If that all sounds like a dream come true to you, you'll adore staying in these Washington vacation rentals in Conconully.
