For a nice, quiet home away from home close to the most desirable destinations in the area, this Tahoe City vacation rental is a top pick. Look out to partial lake views on the furnished deck, warm up before the gas fireplace stove, and even keep your car cozy in the garage during your wonderful winter break or summer adventure.

Hikers will adore this family lodge's location, as it's near many lake trails inhabited by Sierra flora and fauna. Outdoor activities abound less than nine miles from this Tahoe City neighborhood, such as those at Granlibakken Resort (two miles away), Tahoe Cross Country Ski Area (five miles north), and the huge Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley area (nine miles east). Sure bets for skiing and summer adventures at the larger resorts, these Lake Tahoe attractions will surely be a part of your memory making.

The Snow Flower is surrounded by mountain trees, and that atmosphere is carried out in the home's woodwork throughout. Huge picture windows allow in lots of California sun to bounce off the hardwood flooring. On the front deck, with a patio table and chairs, you get a peek at blue Lake Tahoe while the bird chirps fill the air.

Just inside this deck's sliding glass doors is the open living and kitchen area. Here, you'll have overstuffed couches to sink into while the first of two TVs plays (it's equipped with both cable and DVD). Control the gas fireplace stove via remote from your comfy post while the popcorn is prepared in the kitchen.

The fully stocked kitchen here offers the basics like a dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, and a corkscrew to go with its wine glasses. Share cereal and fruit at the breakfast bar in the morning and save money on big dinners out by making a family favorite to enjoy around the dining table.

A full bathroom is also accessible on this level for your convenience. Plus, the other side of this floor has access to a back deck.

Downstairs you'll find the carpeted bedrooms that are certain to inspire sweet dreams. Parents will get the privacy and comfort of the master bedroom, which has a queen-size bed and access to the lower patio deck. Siblings or close friends will like the twin trundle bed in the second room or the third room with a twin-over-full bunk bed, separate twin, and the second TV.

The ground floor is where you'll find the second full bathroom as well as access to the garage (with room for one guest vehicle) which also has the laundry room. Why not freshen up your vacation wardrobe?

On top of the hiking trails close by, there are many more activities. In summer, visit Tahoe City Commons Beach just up the road for live music lakeside. There are many friendly waterfront restaurants to visit, all no more than two miles away from this humble abode.

Kings Beach is a bit over 11 miles north along the lake, with casino attractions next door, just across the state line, at Crystal Bay. About 16 miles north to I-80 is Truckee for a little history about the area. No matter how many times you visit Tahoe, you'll always find something new to explore!

Make sure your next getaway is at this North Lake Tahoe vacation rental!

Living room is very nice, bright and sunny, lots of space for the kids to play, huge terrace. The kitchen is very well equipped with anything you may need if you like to prepare meals on your own. The barbecue was out of order, so we couldn't use it.
Bedrooms are really weird . We were two families with 3 kids. Me, my husband and our son slept in the queen size room. We brought our own portable crib. The other couple had to split up and both adults ended up sleeping in two different rooms because the beds were tiny. So one parent slept in one of the bedrooms and the other parent together with the two kids slept in the 3rd bedroom.
There was NO heating in the bedrooms. The only heating is in the living room where you actually do not need it. So it gets really chilly during the night. If you are planning an autumn/winter stay you better bring a portable heater with you or ask your host to arrange one (or 3) in advance.
Also because bedrooms are downstairs and the living room is upstairs you could hear when someone walks on the 2nd floor. The other 2 kids were running around and I really had very hard time putting my 14 month old to sleep. If you travel with no kids the noise should be that much of an issue.
Overall nice place but needs improvement.

We enjoyed our stay on Snowflower Lane. The house is conveniently located to Tahoe City, and surrounded by big, beautiful trees in a quiet neighborhood. We especially enjoyed the large deck and filtered view of Lake Tahoe. The upstairs great room/ kitchen is a really nice space. The bedrooms are all downstairs--one drawback is you do hear the people walking around upstairs if you go to bed early. But overall, a very pleasant house.

The home was solid, and well built. Amenities where marginal at best. Kitchen very basic, but had essentials. Location was great, and clean. Overall a great house in a great location.

Very nice place in a convenient location! Would stay again.

Overall, we were happy with the house. We needed chains to get around in the neighborhood and driveway, due to the heavy snowstorm and hills. Granlibakken is around the corner, short drive, not walkable. There is a heater built into the hallway floor, and that provides heat to the bedrooms. We had two families of 4 each.

This place was perfect for a large group! A lot of room and in a great area that is a short drive to grocery stores or the beach. We enjoyed it!

Three big decks, clean, close to the lake but quiet, would definitely stary here again.

The property was really nice and clean, lots of space and well stocked, in a pretty good location. Only complaint was that the fees are a little high.

Great location - easy to get to the lake and to nearby stores and restaurants. However, the house feels rundown. With a few easy fixes, this would be a great place to stay. The carpet throughout the downstairs was stained and extremely dirty. We cooked all our meals in the house and the pots/pans/knifes were all almost impossible to use. The pans weren't flat and the knifes were so dull it was hard to chop an onion. Foosball table in living room was broken with sharp pokers sticking out, a hazard to the young toddler we brought with us.

Everything was enjoyable and clean, centrally located. Lots of space.

Good house for the whole family with 4 kids! Sledding run in the forest across the street, great yard for snowball fights, and close to town for food supplies. Nice and big common room for meals, games, and movies.

Conveniently located and comfortable and roomy enough for two families of three to share. Very short drive to central Tahoe City and Granlibakken Resort.
