I liked only a few things at the Sand Dunes in room 1608. The space in this room is wonderful and booking through Vacasa does make it easy to check in and out. Unfortunately, it's too too pricey for a two nights stay. Vacasa charged $680.00 (FYI: Vacasa is like a third party cheaper to reserve through Sand Dunes). I would've been okay with this price if the room was updated and cleaner. The blankets are gross and old, the sofas and accent chairs are stained and stinky, the kitchen appliances are falling apart and old, the floors are sticky, the door frame is busted like someone forced the door open and curtains need updating badly. The worst part of being on the 16th floor was getting in and out the hotel it took forever just to catch an elevator waiting alteast 5 to 8 minutes for an elevator to arrive. I will not or want to stay at the Sand Dunes again.

We are disappointed to read you were unhappy with your stay. The blankets are outdated hotel spreads, but they are regularly cleaned. The microwave is being replaced. Maintenance will inspect the door frames to see if they can find the one in need of repair. Thank you, Betsabe!

The booking process was difficult and time-consuming. The amenities advertised prior to the booking we’re not available to us because we booked through Vacasa. The price was reasonable, but the time we spent calling customer service on three separate occasions was not worth the money saved. Once we were able to talk to a representative, the representative was helpful regarding two issues. However, the issue of the amenities was not addressed.
