Beautiful Dog-Friendly Home W/ Family Outdoor Activities & Creek on Property!

Tucked in the foliage of Sylva, this gorgeous retreat will be just the place to get away from it all, soak up year-round mountain views, and breathe in some fresh air. The interior will welcome each visitor with high ceilings, inviting wood accents, and a fully equipped kitchen offering stainless steel appliances, breakfast bar seating, and spacious granite countertops for all your vacation cooking projects. Enjoy the views of the nearby stream from all levels of the home. Entertainment will be at your fingertips thanks to the free high-speed WiFi and brand new Smart TVs with DirecTV. Plus, two powered leather recliners will keep you comfortable as you watch your favorite shows. Don't hesitate to take advantage of the screened-in porch and enclosed yard to spread out and let the dogs run around!

Though it will be hard to leave the comforts of indoors, stepping out to the deck and backyard will absolutely spoil every lucky visitor. The large, second-floor deck will be just the place to grill up a few burgers each night under the party lights (on the private gas grill, of course), and the Ping-Pong table is great for getting out a bit of friendly competition–you can find the latter in the screened-in porch downstairs. Walk a bit further into the fenced yard and you will find a firepit to reminisce at under the stars. Enjoy walking down the trail to a babbling creek that is great for the kids (and the dog) to splash in! Even more outdoor activities include a putting green, a hiking trail on-site leading to the creek, creek access, and corn hole!

What's nearby:
Enjoy a unique creekside location with plenty of nearby hiking trails with rails when you book this woodsy, two-story retreat! Sitting a short eight-mile drive from downtown Sylva, this home is in a perfect location to feel secluded, yet is still close to tasty restaurants, local breweries, and shops in town! Charming Sylva boasts an ever-growing brew scene called “One of the Top 10 American Brewery Tours" by TripAdvisor, therefore, a must-visit. Another perk of this town is that it offers everything you could ever need for a relaxing vacation–local shops, dining options, art galleries, breweries, history, and so much more–without the hustle and bustle of a city. For a bit of outdoor activity, don't hesitate to check out the amazing trails at Pinnacle Park. If hiking isn't on the agenda for the day, book a tee time, and play a round of 18 at one of the many local courses. Plus, amazing day trips to Smoky Mountain National Park are well-worth the 30-mile drive!

Things to know:
Free high-speed WiFi!
Keurig coffee maker (bring k-cups)
Dog-friendly (please keep dogs off of the furniture)

The area right around the house and in the region is gorgeous. We visited during a very cold spell in January but still found plenty to do. Sylva is close by, and offers some good restaurants and shops. House is spacious and fairly well equipped.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was as advertised. Vacasa was responsive to our questions and detailed with directions. Very helpful

Loved the location with the beautiful fall colors! The cabin was almost perfect. The only request is to swap out the downstairs shower curtain. Other than that everything was great! We had an awesome time. And thank you for the opportunity to stay at Crashing creek cabin!

We were blown away by the view and the comfort of this cabin. The house was very thoughtfully equipped with plenty of games and activities as well. We were fortunate to have really pleasant weather!

We really enjoyed our time at Crashing Creek Cabin! The cabin was very clean, was well appointed, many games/activities, had an amazing view, relaxing creek, and pet friendly. We would highly recommend to family, friends and anyone needing a quiet, restful getaway. You can hear the water running in the creek from inside the cabin which was very soothing/relaxing. As others have mentioned, good idea to arrive during daylight hours (very windy roads and tight turns). Additionally, the driveway to the cabin is quite steep and not motorcycle friendly at all. We will definitely keep this cabin on our short list for future visits. Thank you for a great getaway!!

Creek was awesome, location is good, nice and quiet!

We loved this cabin. Very comfortable and beautifully furnished. Just a couple of quirks: internet speed is not very fast. It’s reliable and we never had a problem connecting, but some things loaded slow. I’m not sure it could handle streaming videos. Also, the only coffee maker is a Keurig, and there’s not a kettle to make water for tea if that’s your thing. But the beds are comfortable, the sound of the creek is relaxing and the screened in porch is where we ate all our meals! We were very happy and would love to return in other seasons.

I loved my stay at this cabin. This cabin is beautiful inside and out and is in the perfect spot. My favorite thing to do was sitting on the porch and listening to the creek because it is so relaxing. I will definitely be back!

The cabin is very quaint and is really set up to relax and enjoy. There are plenty of games and activities for adults and kids such as cornhole and ping pong in addition to board games. The setting is absolutely beautiful and the house has everything you need for a great trip. The porch off the bedrooms is screened in so you can open the doors and sleep to the sound of the creek. The street as you come up to the house is a bit steep but it is very manageable and the driveway very easy to navigate. You will definitely enjoy your time here!

The property is amazing....you have your own private creek to sit and listen to. There was a nice pathway to the creek with a picnic table which we enjoyed. Played games and had cocktails while enjoying the soothing sound of the creek. The cabin had so many amenities! Felt like I was in my own kitchen! And the beds/linens were nice and comfortable. Looking forward to coming back soon! Check in and out was a breeze with good communication all around.

Overall, i was very impressed with this house especially based on the price. My mother wanted to stay somewhere cheaper where i'm a believer in "you get what you pay for" so i was hesitant to book this house. The house is great and truly has everything you need. It was very well kept and very clean. The only reason i gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because we didnt have hot water in the kitchen the entire stay and I emailed Vacasa on day 3 to ask them what we needed to do and i never got a response. So needless to say, have expections that if you do have an issue that it may take time to get a response if you actually get one at all. That's the downside of not having an owner of the house. But even with that, we would definitely stay in this house again based on the value. If you stay at this house, a few things to know:

-The drive up the mountain is a long one so i recommend to go grocery shopping before you get to the house. The roads up the mountain are very winding. I would recommend getting to the house before dark every day because it can be quite nerve racking if not.

-Bring a map. We got lost many times in the area outside the home because the GPS would tend to get lost or some areas you wouldnt get any service at all. We got lost for 2 hours.

Again, this is a place we would stay at again because i think the value is unbeatable and we know what to bring and what to do on our next visit.

The cabin is in a great location with all the amenities for a mountain getaway. The home had tons of fun for kids, the creek, trail, and games. Ping ping was a hit. Our furry friend also had a blast. Thanks for allowing pets! The washing machine and dryer were not in excellent condition, but the property management company and owner were very responsive in correcting. Crashing Creek is a well managed and well-maintained property.
Manager response:
Hi, Dustin! We are delighted to read you enjoyed your stay with us. We just want to confirm the washer and dryer are both working well at this point. Thank you for choosing Vacasa!

The house was absolutely gorgeous! Clean, stocked, up to date and very modern. The road and drive way leading to house is not for the weak hearted though, very narrow and steep! Gorgeous view and very relaxing!

We enjoyed the two story house! Perfect for family of four adults. Bathrooms are down the hall. Comfy living room for chill time. Great walk down to the creek. Only 10 minutes from Sylva (A nice quaint town with some nice restaurants.) and less than a hour to the Smokey Mountain National Park. (Not to mention Asheville). Enjoyed our stay.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Crashing Creek Cabin. The home was very clean and had a warm & cozy feel. The view from all levels of the cabin overlooks the stream. The kitchen is fully equipped with almost anything and everything you need to prepare a nice meal. We made breakfast and enjoyed coffee in the crisp morning air. The walking trail to the water is amazing - It’s a nice, little trek to get in some exercise. The upper balcony was by far our favorite place to hangout & relax; paired with the sounds of the flowing water and falling leaves, I couldn’t have asked for a more tranquil environment. I would definitely stay here again!
