The house itself is great. Each level has a bedroom. There are 3 levels. The upstairs is a loft with 2 queen beds. Since there is no bathroom up there we let the kids have that area. The lower level has the game room. Besides the the outdoor hot tub on main level porch, the game room is where we spent the most time. So many games. It’s really a great way to get some good family time. The house is very spacious. Only the loft is small. The views are the best I have ever seen. I have never been so high up on a mountain. Watch the sunset in the evening and the sunrise. Sunrise you can see the sun hitting the mountains. This is pretty spectacular. There is a good portion of road that is just a single lane. It takes about 20 minutes or so to get to house and off the mountain. We did not have any cell phone service there. I set my phone to WiFi calling which There were a couple of issues. The main one was no water. Vacasa sent someone who fixed the problem but it took a long time for the hot water to work. Since we only stayed 2 nights, we only had hot water the last night. The grill was out of gas. There were also lots of dead lady bugs. I don’t think this would be uncommon in a such a wooded area. I highly recommend this property if you want privacy and don’t mind a little driving to get to places. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars are the couple of problems we had.
Manager response:
Andrew, thank you for the review! We are so glad you and your family enjoyed Sky High Hideaway. We apologize for the issue you had with the water but are glad the local staff was able to assist quickly. We apologize that the grill was out of gas and not filled prior to your arrival. Ladybugs are a natural bug to the mountain areas and in the winter months, they seek warmth by coming inside. They are harmless. We look forward to hosting you again. Thank you!

Thank you ! Your home was so spacious and well equipped (YAY - gas oven!) for adults and plenty of games (electronic and otherwise) for the children. The most amazing feature of your home was the truly breath taking views of the mountains - it was awe inspiring. The nearby hiking trails are a plus for any avid hikers. Lots of comfortable beds and outdoor areas were bonuses!!!
