Ultimate Ski/Summer Getaway with Shared Hot Tub - Walk to the Lake & Ski Shuttle

Please be advised all shared hot tubs, pools, and clubhouses in Summit County are closed due to local rules and regulations. All hot tubs at private homes will remain open. As local policies change by the hour, access to amenities is beyond our control. We encourage you to check local regulations before your trip so you can be as prepared as possible.

Discover the perfect home base for your next Colorado vacation at this two-bedroom Dillon condo, where you'll enjoy two community hot tubs, a marvelous in-town location close to the Dillon Reservoir, and incredible access to seven world-class ski resorts in the surrounding mountains.

This two-level condo is located just south of Interstate 70 in the town of Dillon, only one mile from the Dillon Marina, the Dillon Amphitheater, and the tennis courts at Dillon Town Park. You'll be across the street from a stop for the free Summit Stage shuttle, and within 15 miles of Keystone Ski Resort, A-Basin Ski Area, Copper Mountain Resort, Loveland Ski Area, and Breckenridge Ski Resort.

Park your car in one of the two outdoor spaces, leave your skis and poles in the provided locker, and step inside to discover a bright, open, and cabin-like living space. Watch the snow fall on the mountains through the floor-to-ceiling windows, adjust the baseboard heat to help take the chill off, and gather in front of the rustic gas-powered stove to tell stories of the day's adventures.

As your ski clothes spin in the private washer/dryer, head into the kitchen to prepare afternoon snacks, appetizers, and drinks. Fill the condo with aromas of dinner bubbling in the slow cooker, pull up a stool to chop vegetables at the kitchen counter, or help set the glass table in the dining room for four. A dishwasher is also on hand to make cleanup a breeze.

Pile on the living room sofas after dinner, using the WiFi to share vacation photos, catching a football game on the flatscreen cable TV, or popping in a DVD for movie night with the family. Sip hot cocoa in the brisk mountain air on the patio, or soothe your sore ski legs in one of the complex's two communal hot tubs.

With two bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms, the Orofino Chalet will accommodate nine guests (but no more than seven adults). Retreat to the master bedroom each evening to find a queen-size bed, a flatscreen TV, and a private bathroom with a tub/shower combination. The guest room has a twin-over-double bunk bed, a futon, a flatscreen TV, and an attached bathroom. Additional amenities include two sofabeds in the living room and generous closet storage.

Thanks to the incredible variety of outdoor recreation available in every season, Dillon and Summit County are ideal for discovering the magic of Colorado. In the winter months, hop on the free Summit Stage to reach the slopes of Keystone seven miles east, the Silverthorne Transportation Center, the town of Frisco, or Breckenridge Ski Resort 15 miles south. You'll also be only 12 miles from the world-class slopes of A-Basin, Copper Mountain, and Loveland.

In the sparkling summertime, practice your serve on the tennis courts at Dillon Town Park, take in an evening concert at the Dillon Amphitheater that overlooks the reservoir, or head over to Frisco. You need only stop by the Dillon Marina one mile south to rent stand-up paddleboards, pontoon boats, sailboats, or kayaks to take out for a scenic day on the water.

Begin planning your next Colorado adventure today - this comfortable Dillon condo will make you feel right at home!

Loved the location - we could walk to Dillon Amphitheater in 20 minutes. All three toilets in the house had issues though. One upstairs toilet required us manually adding water after flushing and the other had a stuck toilet float so we had to manually pull it up each time to prevent it from constantly filling water. The thing that left us the most uncomfortable though was that at 9:45am a woman and man started looking in the windows of the house while we were packing up to go. They then rudely knocked on the door and asked us why we weren’t out yet. Check out time is at 10am. We were just about getting ready to go and left in the next five minutes.
Manager response:
Tiffany, thank you for taking the time to share your valuable feedback. We are so glad you enjoyed the location. We sincerely apologize for any issues with the toilets. We would have been happy to assist had been notified during your time with us. We take guest feedback seriously and we will be sure to follow up with the appropriate parties regarding your experience and hope to have the opportunity to host you again soon!

- Carpet is threadbare and severely stained
- Unit has not had a deep cleaning in a long, long time.
- Upholstery on the couches is stained
- Chair has ripped/torn upholstery
- Window blinds are not functional

For what we needed the unit was OK. If you’ve stayed in other Vacasa managed properties you’re probably used to a higher quality unit.
Manager response:
Hi Eric, thank you for your review. We hope you enjoyed your stay! We appreciate you bringing these items to our attention. We have notified our local manager who will work with the homeowner to make any updates to the home to ensure a comfortable stay for our guests. We hope to host you in the future!

Warm and welcoming.

The Orofino Chalet was an escape to the wonders of Summit County that anyone would be pleased to have. Ample room to WFH. The close proximity to hiking trails and mountains for snow filled fun allowed for numerous activities to keep people of all ages occupied for plenty of time! A full kitchen allows for those home cooked meals that make you feel snug as a bug in a rug during those cold winter months while you’re socially distancing during covid.

Plenty of space for our family to stay, kitchen was well stocked with dishware, nice having in-house washer/dryer, and great location. Dillon Marina, is less than five mins away, Frisco - 15 mins, and Breck about 20 mins.

Great location and offered everything we needed to make it a great ski vacation

Our family of five stayed here for our annual ski trip. Plenty of space in the two bedrooms. Allowed us to easily ski Keystone, Breckenridge, and even go up to Vail one day. The aesthetic is basic, but met our needs.

Stayed for 3 weeks. The place was nice and clean. Parking is tight, specifically if you have two vehicles. But only had a problem one night and just parked in the next lot. Easy to travel to all the ski areas.

Spacious, plenty of sleeping space for our family. Kitchen well stocked. Loved the fact that there is a third bathroom in the downstairs.

Spacious for 10 people at least and lots of entertainment in the home, plenty of DVD’s, games, close to the river, and lots of things to do in the mountains.

This is a great place to stay! It easily accommodated all 7 of us and we were all pleased with the cleanliness. Matt and Vacasa staff were very quick and efficient dealing with the few questions we required assistance on - even over the holidays!

The shuttle to the ski resorts is a bit far (go east up the road for the slightly closer one than west) but that is no fault of the Orofino Chalet. You are getting a great find for a great price so a little walking is definitely worth it!

We stayed for three days and considered it an excellent experience. Highly recommend. There is no BBQ grill.
