Cozy A-frame cabin with large deck, 5-minute walk to beach - dogs welcome!

Whether it's your first time visiting Rockaway Beach or you know the city like the back of your hand, you'll love staying in this charming A-frame cabin! Perfect for a traveling couple or a small family, this dog-friendly vacation rental provides easy access to the beach and a lovely wraparound deck.

Guests of this home will appreciate the quiet forest setting, as the cabin is on a large corner lot that allows for privacy. Situated in a quiet neighborhood one mile south of Rockaway Beach's central business district, this cabin is conveniently close to shops and restaurants. The beach is seven blocks straight west across the highway, so you'll be on the sand faster than you can pack a picnic basket!

When you arrive at this vacation rental, take a moment to notice the charming blue chairs that occupy the large deck. Don't be surprised if you get the urge to pick up supplies for s'mores! This outdoor space is great for relaxing, and you can even hear the ocean waves rolling in on the shore.

Head inside and find yourself in the cabin's main room. To your left, a living room features a comfy couch and two chairs, as well as an electric fireplace and a small TV. Enjoy streaming movies and TV shows via Netflix as well as the free WiFi. The living room TV is also HDMI compatible for connecting your laptop or tablet for media viewing.

The small-yet-serviceable kitchenette is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare a meal, whether it's a fancy dinner or a picnic lunch. In addition to a mini-fridge, a compact stove, and a microwave, you'll find convenient extras such as a slow cooker and a coffee grinder. Sit down to eat at the four-person dining room table.

Up to four guests are welcome at this one-bedroom, one-bathroom cabin. The bedroom features a queen-size bed, while the living room couch pulls out into a full-size sofabed. Dogs are also welcome to stay at this vacation home (please note an additional nightly pet fee applies).

When you stay at this rental, you'll likely want to spend a lot of time at the beach. Pack a beach bag with towels, toys, and sunscreen, and walk the quick seven blocks until your toes hit sand. Whether you stroll along the coast or just catch up on your beach reading, you'll love the convenience of staying so close to the ocean.

Spend a quiet day perusing the shops and streets of Rockaway Beach before grabbing a bite to eat at one of the local eateries. If you'd rather catch your own dinner, try your hand at fishing or crabbing up at the Jetty Fishery north of Nedonna Beach. If you haven't done so already, be sure to tour the Tillamook Cheese Factory, just 12 miles to the south.

A relaxing vacation on the Oregon coast can be yours when you stay at this adorable A-frame cabin in Rockaway Beach. Don't miss out - book today! A damage waiver, covering up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the property or its contents, is included in the cost of your reservation.

It was a very nice to get away.. the only thing I was upset about was that when the power went out, there was not an emergency kit, with candles or flashlights, we had to go to the store to purchase these items!!!
Manager response:
Thank you for staying with us, Lynn. We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your time in this home. Thank you for letting us know there is room for improvement. We always appreciate feedback on how to make our guests stay more comfortable and will pass your suggestion to our local team for consideration. We hope to host you for another pleasant stay in the future!

Close to beach, only A 4 block walk. Very private home with large yard.

This is a very cute, small a-frame cabin a few blocks off the beach. Styled nicely and a good place to relax. I liked the extra pet bags and treats for our dog.

But there were a lot of downsides like the cleanliness of the unit. We found an old, dirty t-shirt under the bed. Some of the knives were dirty in the drawer. I also had to clean the bathroom drain because it was full of hair. Under the deck had some beer cans. With high cleaning fees on vacation rentals, I expect these types of details to be taken care of. The cabin has a lot of potential for updates like the backyard or a bbq. The fridge is also very small.
Manager response:

We absolutely love "A-Frame" homes, which is the original structure of this house - this is still visible on the exterior, and inside in the kitchen/dining room, and the bathroom. The loft is certainly still there but in was unclear whether that was available for us to use - it had a baby gate covering the opening with a bike chain on each side locking it in-place. Also, the ladder hangs on the wall and has to be bolted on to the front of the loft to access the upstairs, and when in use, it blocks the front door. For those reasons, I drop my review down a star, because lofts are my favorite part of "A-Frames."

Otherwise, the home was cute and comfy for 2 people. I suppose a third person could sleep on the couch, but it's not the most comfortable couch for sleeping on. Other people have already mentioned that the bathroom is carpeted, which always raises some eyebrows. That said, it is indoor/outdoor carpet and not some giant fluffy sponge. The shower is pretty small, with enough room to stand and swing your elbows, but not much else. The yard is beautiful and very relaxing, and the home is situated in a nice, quiet neighborhood.

It's only a 5 or 6 block walk to the beach, with a beautiful "hobbit-like" trail through the shrubbery/small trees - definitely inspires some whimsy. The beach here is beautiful, instantly one of my favorites. And the trailhead to "Big Tree" is even closer than the beach - definitely check this out! The namesake Red Cedar is awe-inspiring!

Close walk to beach. Close to downtown. Peaceful neighborhood

Walking in I was pretty disappointed with the property. Looks cute from the outside and the location is great in a cute town. This property is pet friendly- and you could tell. The smell got to me pretty bad. The carpet in the bathroom grossed me out- did not see that in the pictures. When we walked in there was a large laundry bag on the floor next to the table with the bathroom mat on the table (found out later these were clean). We also found an open hershey bar on the microwave. I called for customer service because we couldn't find clean sheets for the pull out sofa bed. Turns out the bag was cleaned laundry and just hadn't been put away. The bedroom bed had been cleaned and looked nice. Some cute things in this property- but honestly I feel like a few days of working to improve the little things would make this place amazing. The pictures look amazing but I would not stay here again. Customer service was great and the housekeeper got back to me right away- so that was really nice.
Manager response:
We are sorry for the inconvenience you experienced during your stay. We will bring the smell and your feedback to the attention of the local staff. We are happy to hear you were pleased with the customer service and the housekeeping staff. We hope to host you again soon.

Great location - close to all the hikes we visited. Kitchen had all the basics we needed to make ourselves a dinner. Overall, really enjoyed our stay.
Maria N. Jun 2019
This was a perfect little spot for 2 friends and the dog to enjoy an Oregon Coast get-away. The decor is bright and cheerful and it is a short walk to a lovely beach. I would definitely go back!

This beach house is cute and I enjoyed my stay for the most part. A few things to consider:
- this is on the corner right with houses close on all sides and a lot across the street with several RV's parked in it. The pic is misleading as it looks more remote, but alas, no privacy.
- there needs to be hooks by the front door and the paint could use a new coat
-the front room is basically staged with newer stuff (kind of like grandma's house but teal) but the kitchen and bathroom are pretty old and there is carpet in the bathroom, which we all know is never good
- for the price, it's not a bad deal, but they really need working porch lights. only one in the front work and it turned off as soon as you are off the deck so you can't see anything and none of the lights on the side (sliding glass door) deck worked at all. it get's DARK at night in the winter and i could barely see to unload my car
- the fridge is TINY and is very low to the floor, so if you are going to have a fridge that small it would be great if it was up on a table or counter as it was hard to get things in and out of it
-the bedroom bed is very comfy, but
-the couch in living room is NOT comfortable, and if you think (like I did), that you will pull out the bed to see if that is more comfy for watching a movie - WRONG: the pull out is springy and paper thin and no support AND it is filthy under the couch which i saw when I pulled it out.
- i give this place a C+ only for the good deal and comfy bed and fun 1/2 A-frame and exposed wood that gave a nice cabin feeling. It is not close enough to the beach to walk (with any thing to carry) unless you are going for a run or setting out for a long walk.

Great location. It was in a nice quiet neighborhood. We really enjoyed the deck. The Bed was very comfortable. Nice and cozy.
Kellie D. Jun 2018
The privacy, beach access and how close we were to several coastal towns and attractions
Nicholas M. Jun 2018
Was cute and cozy
Nathan C. Jun 2018
It was comfortable and close to the ocean, but still nice and private.
Heather K. Mar 2018
Charming little home on a quiet street. Fire pit in the backyard and Adirondack chairs on the porch make for great evenings of star-gazing.
ALexia G. Mar 2018
So cute and cozy! The only reason I didn’t give 5stars Is due to the sliding glass door not opening and the front area being torn up for construction. But inside the home was great
Manager response:
We inspected the sliding door and found it to be working; we apologize for any difficulties this guest had with the matter. The yard is currently torn up due to city work, and we do apologize for the sight.
Nona S. Feb 2018
The house is clean and the decor is ok. I would not recommend this accommodation for anything other than a short stay for one or two people. It is however close to the beach which I really enjoyed.
Gary B. Jan 2018
it is a tight fit for pick up and trailer t park but not impossible. the house is very clean, bed compfy, plenty of suff in the kitchen. overall our stay was very nice. thanks
Donald T. Nov 2017
An OK place to stay, but very small for more than two people to make it an enjoyable experience.
Linda D. Nov 2017
The Good: This little A frame has new furnishings and was staged nicely with a beachy presentation. TV and internet worked excellent. A doggy crate was available if you choose to leave Fido in the home alone. Nice folks in the neighborhood who walk their dogs. Fire pit is located in the backyard and is a nice place to spend a few hours in the evening. Easy walk to the beach and town. No washer/dryer but plenty of towels available.

The Issues: 1) The mini fridge did not work well, but it tried even though it was OLD (Montgomery Ward brand). 2) The smoke alarm was removed and stuck in a drawer. We were not sure if it was in working order, so heat was an issue at night. Advised not to use baseboard heaters, just the fireplace and a space heater in the bedroom. Obviously, with a questionable smoke alarm, we did not use the space heater while sleeping, but the fireplace was nice while we were present and awake. 3) The floor had not been mopped prior to our arrival. The porch and outdoor chairs were a mess and should have been swept off before our arrival.

I do hope housekeeping improves as this little place with all its new furnishings will not stay nice if it's not cleaned properly.
Manager response:
We apologize for the issues this guest encountered during their visit. This home is new to the current property manager who is now aware of these issues. The mini-fridge will be repaired or replaced after inspection, and we will get the smoke detector back in place. Thank you!

This cabin is super cozy, and I had a great 12 days there. You can hear the ocean, but you feel like you're in an old growth forest/jungle. The bed is really comfy. It has its quirks, but I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Walllace E. Sep 2017
This little cabin was so cute. Just the right size for two people! We really enjoyed the bike ride to the beach and back. Nice little cabin in a quiet little neighborhood.
Gerald And Irene G. Jul 2017
This place needs attention and we think different furniture and TV..(local news). Also, don't show fire pit if it's unavailable...Bat problem was taken on quickly but shouldn't have been there in the 1st place.....Kinda freaky...... Good location but needs attention......
Manager response:
The bat issue has been resolved, and the fire pit is on location. The furnishings are brand new, and the owner does not want cable at this time. Thanks!
Jessica S. Jun 2017
Had a really nice stay. Happy with the space and comforts.
Dave K. Jun 2017
perfect for a two person one dog getaway!.. I like the deck and it is a few blocks to the beach. had a great time.
Eric E. May 2017
Perfect Cozy Cabin for a romantic getaway to the beach. Loved the rustic feel of the A-Frame style home and it was an ideal size for a couple and furry friend.

Just minutes walk from the beach and a doable jaunt into town make the location ideal. Not on the ocean but in a nice secluded neighborhood far enough from the 101 to feel remote and secluded.

All the neighbors waved as they went by so we felt right at home, highly recommend it!
