We rated this 3 star because of the cleanliness not because of the house and location. The house and location are wonderful. We've already rented this place again next year at the same time, 3rd week in September. Arrived at 7:30PM, Saturday, to find the following: Garage door was broken in open position. We did not give the 3 star rating because of the garage door. Maintenance things happen. It's unreasonable to "go off" because of that. Inconvenient yes. We reported that to Vacasa on Saturday when we arrived. On Tuesday two very nice gentlemen came and fixed it! Once in the house, I began an inspection (always do, initially). In general the house seemed clean and neat as one would expect… but the house was not totally clean. I was disappointed in the cleaning because of the $190 cleaning fee. For that amount of money, I expected better. We hire house cleaners. I now what to expect for $190. This cleaning fell short. Vacasa your cleaning crew needs to pay more attention to the following details: • General bathroom ○ Large dead bug in the shower, which I removed. ○ Shower floor was not clean. I cleaned and disinfected it with the Lysol spray under the kitchen sink. ○ Throw rug was dirty. • Master-bath ○ Throw rugs were obviously dirty, need to be washed. ○ Floor appeared to be dirty, may not have been… but was given that impression due to the dirty through rugs. • Porch ○ Sliding door frame was dirty on the outside, finger prints. ○ Sliding door Glass was clear except for a nose print, smeared. ○ Spider webs in several locations, large ones… not trying to be picky. ○ Floor was sandy hadn't been swept well. Corners were not done well. ○ Note: Using shop vac with a bag will do a nice job with that. • Kitchen ○ Some Cabinets top and bottom doors were stuck. Hard to get open?? ○ Floor was sticky?? ○ Note: The cabinets and the floor may have been sticky due to spraying for ants as reported earlier. We are happy to report no ants or bugs. • Garage floor was sandy with leaves. Probably because it was broken, open for a while. Although, it looked like it hadn't been swept for a while. • Big empty storage tub on front walk filled with water, which we dried and put in the garage. Later we found: • The recycling bin filled with trash, not recycling. Trash bin was empty. Both trash cans facing the wrong direction. We put the bins out as requested and put them back correctly. • Grill was filthy, which I cleaned. Nice grill. Plenty of propane. All in all, we had a fun time and will be back!
