When you've got some time on your hands (or vacation log), you need a great location and a Seattle vacation rental that will inspire. Look no further than All Play, No Work Loft!
Note: While Seattle is a fairly temperate climate, please be aware that this vacation rental does not offer air conditioning. Fans are available if needed.
This rental is very spacious and is in a great location. you are walking distance to tourist activities, restaurants, bars and shopping. the pier is practically at your front door for beautiful sunsets.
I rated this rental 2 star related to several items:
the cleanliness of the apartment was poor. the laminate floors were filthy and the carpeting needs replacement or the deepest shampoo. stains on the walls. hair left on the bathroom sink counter. there was a hole in the wall that was poorly patched and a missing railing on the stairs. old stains on the furnishings.
I choose Homeaway for the necessities of a home. Vacasa did not provide this. Oven without an oven mitt. minimal paper toweling. knives without a cutting board. No scrub brush in the sink. Not a single spray to wipe down a counter. If you plan on cooking or preparing anything, forget it, you will have one component without a match. On our last night we decided to head up a pizza, something simple. I pre-heated the oven, a foul smell came out as well as smoke setting off the smoke alarm. 12 oyster shells left in the oven from a prior renter. We proceeded to bake the pizza with caution thinking it would burn or smell. there was not an oven mitt to remove the pizza and no cutting board to cut the pizza. then no cleaning spray to wipe up the crumbs. The rental company should attempt to live in this place to see how there is lack of functionality. As a renter, I should not be shopping for cleaning supplies and cutting boards. Will I then be charged if there is a knife mark on the counter top?
Before arrival, in addition to the "rental agreement" you sign on the Homeaway site, you will be required to sign a "paper" agreement and fax or scan to the company. this is not practical when you are on a road trip from one state to the next. we had to stop at Fed ex and fax a 6 page document for $10. It is 2018 and can be completed electronically.
Last item is that a maintenance worker entered the property unannounced. he had knocked on the door and then proceeded to enter the property with a key. He was fixing a light in the condo. I do not feel comfortable opening the door to unannounced strangers. Is this property secure to leave belongings if you have people entering the property?
We had a great trip despite the lack of even coffee or salt and pepper. We had to buy and left for next folks. This place needs an overhaul ! There also weren't even any pods for dishwasher, yet we were expected to use.No icemaker either, good heavens. That's what I mean by basic. Lots of stains on carpet and couch and with expensive cleaning fees etc. this is just not acceptable. My airbnb (another state) would never make it with these issues - guests expect much more. I hear about every little thing and I address.
We wish this guest would have reached out to notify us of the missing supplies they encountered during their stay. While Vacasa does not supply coffee, our property team would have been happy to bring out dishwasher pods and address any cleanliness issues. Thank you!
This apartment was conveniently located to downtown, the waterfront, and Pike Place Market. Realtively inexpensive parking was conveniently located just across the steeet.
Being from the Northwest, I wasn’t concerned about the lack of air conditioning as I know that it almost always cools down at night, but it turned out to be an issue. This building was incredibly hot during our entire stay. There was no ventilation in the apartment-no windows that opened at all. The hallways were uncomfortably hot as wel. I’d think twice about staying on the ground floor if it is going to be above 75 during the day. There is just no way to get any air circulation.
We’d definitley go back, just maybe not this unit in the summer.
Unit #106 at the ArtHouse Lofts is spacious and conveniently located. The Bell Conference Center, Pike Place Market, and many restaurants and shops on Alaskan Way are all an easy walk from the loft. I used the street level entrance the entire time I was there, never going through the garage at all. Some of the furnishings are well worn and could be cleaned or replaced. No AC in the unit, which could be a more serious problem at other times of the year; I stayed in late September so it was noticeable, but not significant. Overall, I would recommend this location and will consider a future stay.
The whole process was extremely easy. The apartment was perfectly comfortable for myself and my brother. We came to Seattle for a quick weekend vacation. The location is right near the water and pier 66 and easy walking to pike place market and delicious food. There is also a view of the Space Needle from the Sky Lounge! Thank you Vacasa for making the whole process easy and stress-free. That's how vacation should be! We will definitely return! One bit of advice: if you are visiting from somewhere with a warmer climate (we are from Houston); they do have box fans for each room but no central AC.
Close to everything. Beautiful room and rooftop deck. Love being able to cook and do laundry. Vacasa provides the best home away experience. Only negative thing to say is the apartments need air conditioning for the summer months. Esp since the windows don't open or can only be cracked. They provide fans which does provide some relief, but doesn't really cool down entirely.
Decent but hotel might be easier with storing bags and quieter. Great apt if you want to host a dinner. Good space and kitchen. We didn't need the space. Great location.
This unit has lots to offer. The location is convenient - in Belltown, close to the Space Needle, Pike Place, good restaurants museums, and shopping. We were there during a heatwave and there are no vents in the unit and the windows don't open. It was hot and stuffy. Maybe this isn't a problem in cooler temperatures. Parking is not included in the price of this rental.
The condo itself was fantastic! Perfect for my 17 year old son and I! We were within walking distance to the waterfront and Pike's Place market. We could also walk to the Space Needle if we were really aggressive! The only "complaint" I have is that the neighborhood was not the greatest. We arrived just as it was getting dark and within 5 minutes of trying to get in to the condo we were approached by a few different people looking for handouts or money. We were also told to be careful with our car and to leave nothing in it - and we saw another car with it's window smashed in. We are from Chicago so are used to city crime, so we knew precautions to take, but please be aware of your surroundings if you stay here! By the way, we were told this is not limited to just the condo's area - this is a downtown seattle problem. Overall tho we truly enjoyed our stay
Overall we had a great time in the city! So many great places to eat and drink right next to the condo (up a few semi-steep hills) and very close walking distance to the museums, Space Needle and then the market and piers the other way. Can't complain about that! A few things in the condo could have been a little better. There were 2 couples staying and the second sleeping area (pull out couch in the living space) was not equipped with sheets or pillowcases and we had one blanket to share. We made do by taking things off the main bed and sharing. Pretty hard sleeping too, but we weren't expecting anything amazing. There are some stains on the couch that we didn't want to sleep directly on so taking the sheet off the main bed was ideal. There is also no air conditioning and no windows to open, so even when it was 65 degrees out the condo was very hot and stuffy. Two box fans were provided so that helps and we propped the back door open when we were home for some air flow which worked well.
Other reviews mentioned a parking spot as well which we were expecting, but found out 2 days prior that there was not one. We only had a car for 2 days of the trip so made do with street parking, but good to know in advance.
Overall a wonderful trip and in general we spent more time exploring than in the condo and the central location was great!! Take advantage of the 8th floor deck too! Great views of the bay and we were able to see Mt. Rainer to the left on a clear day! Beautiful!!
stains on carpet, sink and tub VERY clogged, entry process is a real PIA. Upon entry our first sight from the living room window (basement entry, so the view is above eye-level) was the back sides of 2 street people sitting on a bench outside. Poor bench placement, indeed!! We chose this location because it is walking distance from the ferry landing. A nicer area of town with an uber to the ferry would have been the better option for us.
We are sorry to see the drains were clogged for this stay and wish the guest had notified us so we could have fixed it during their visit. The drains are now unclogged. Thanks!
When we arrived at this apartment, the towels for our stay were in the dryer, heating up the entire apartment tremendously! The highs were in the 80's but the apartment never cooled down. There are no windows to open, and they provide 2 really crappy fans. We ended up leaving after the first night... we paid for 3 nights. There were stains all over the carpet and couch. The loacation is decent, but you have to walk by a homeless camp to get to Pike Place Market. All around a very disappointing apartment!
We apologize the unit was so warm due to the unusual heat. We have asked housekeeping not to leave anything in the dryer, and the carpets and couches will be cleaned after an inspection. Sadly, there is a large homeless population in Seattle, but we have not had any safety issues with this at any of our units.
And get a good condo. Basement until no AC no windows to open really really noise tracffic early AM until PM furniture is looking tired
No AC. No ability to open windows. No fresh air in the unit. This unit is a sweat lodge. Shady transients lurking at your door due to proximity to the marijuana store which is across the street. Scary men just outside the unit, breaking the outlet cover off and taking turns charging their phones for hours. No ability to make the unit dark for sleeping due to the bright street lights. Excessive street noise, sirens, etc.
Unfortunately, most units in Seattle do not have air conditioning. We apologize for any discomfort experienced due to this. This home is located in heart of downtown Seattle across from the art institute on a very busy street. We are unable to control the people or the noise, but if guests have legitimate safety concerns we are more than happy to assist them. Thank you!
Nice ,clean and Comfy so convenient in walking distance. Recommend
This modern rental in the heart of Belltown was perfect for a couple of days to explore what downtown Seattle has to offer. We really enjoyed being able to have our dog, my 72 year old mom and 5 year old who could walk with us to the Pier & Pike's Market from this location. It was spacious enough for the 4 of us and the location rocked!
Phenomenal location! A bit noisy (on a busy street ) but a really nice place to stay. So much within walking distance and if you do bring a car make sure it's small enough to fit in the parking space. Would stay there again if possible!
Great place to stay for girls shopping trip. Will for sure stay here again!
Was very clean and located in the right area
This loft is gorgeous. Spacious and open, it has everything you need to clear your mind and enjoy a few days of rest. The location is great, with the bustling city life of Seattle just a quick walk away. Although just a few minutes from Pikes Place, this little loft provides an oasis escape once safely back inside the glass walls.
I would absolutely recommend this to a friend!
Came in for a quick weekend get away. This loft is in a central location, clean and good off street garage parking. Don't bring any car bigger than a corolla or you won't fit. The loft is situated on the ground floor with street and garage access. The kitchen has the basics and the bed was comfy.
There are several good restaurants just up the street- 4 block walk. By the time you park in Seattle, you could have walked it..
I give it high marks and we stay in VRBO's frequently.
We came for our baby moon and we had easy access to plenty of locals spots as well as tourist locations. It was a nice clean stay that I would recommend for anyone who is seeking rest near entertainment.
Able to accommodate 4 girls comfortably. Very nice condo. Very impressed. Walking distance to nearby restaurants, bars, Pike's market.
Wonderful experience - would highly recommend! Apartment was easy to find, private entrance from street, very clean, well stocked and well decorated. Everything is in great condition - exactly as the photos show! Felt like staying in a home. Only a short walk (5-10 mins) to Pikes Market, very close to waterfront. Cars are noisy at night but as expected. Absolutely loved this apartment and had a great experience. Can't wait to return!
This is a very cool apartment in a fantastic location, within walking distance to many of Seattle's best attractions.
This location is in perfect proximity to Pike Place, the Waterfront, a bunch of restaurants in Belltown and is just a quick uber ride anywhere else. The place itself was extremely clean and had all of the amenities we needed to stock leftovers and breakfast foods. The laundry was extremely convenient. Altogether a wonderful place to stay! Thanks!
Gorgeous unit just two or three blocks from shopping, restaurants, coffee, theater...you name it! You can hear the cars and street noise inside the unit but I wasn't bothered by it. In fact, it was part of the charm of living in the city. Parking is tight so glad I switched rentals to a midsize. Will definitely stay again!
We loved the apartment! Would definitely stay here again when I'm back in town! (The directions were very clear for the lockbox access--anyone who struggles with them must not have read the directions.)
For the price you can't beat it. This place beats every hotel and most of the other condo rentals. First of all the space is huge so you wont be bumping into each other passing around a bed in a hotel room. Second, it has everything you will need, sans coffee I brought my own and Bang Bang cafe is nearby or a short walk to the original Starbucks. I didn't have a chance to take advantage of all the amenities in the building but it was nice to know they were there. And of course fast enough internet to get some work done. If your doing a friend trip to Seattle grab this place and be the envy of your friends in their tiny hotel rooms or its perfect for a work trip.
We were not disappointed. Great location. Very clean and modern loft.
Apartment clean, however wine glasses where small, to enjoy a good glass of wine, need to get some red wine and white wine glasses. However everything else was great. Thank you
We loved the place! Walking distance to Market place and more! Clean and comfortable for the 3 of us.
A bet noisy at night but you are downtown Seattle, night life is happening:) we would love to comeback!
This property is located in Bell Town, minutes walk from many tourist attractions. I found this property very comfortable and would stay here again.
Lovely apartment but because it is street level, you have to expect traffic noise. We purchase ear plugs and then slept great! Loved the rooftop area for enjoying a glass of wine and the beautiful views of the city! The parking spots in the garage are tight so don't rent the biggest car you can get!
This flat was clean and comfortable and in a fantastic location. I really enjoyed being close to the waterfront and Pike Place for fresh food and great dining!
This is a great little apartment. located In a great spot for downtown Seattle experience. There were a few down falls though. It is located right on the street making it very loud during the night with traffic and people walking by the apartment. There is also a bench located right out side of the front door of the apartment. That was a big problem with people sitting on the bench, smoking making the apartment smell like marijuana or cigarette smoke. There is also a drain right outside the front door, we caught a few people during the day or night using it as a pee stop. I hate to give this apartment a bad review because the apartment was so nice inside and perfect size to rent out. The location of it being right on the street and the above issues I listed really down played the apartment.
We are disappointed to see that the outside world made your stay inside this home less enjoyable. The Property Manager has been made aware of these comments and will look into solutions to make the stay more relaxing.
This condo was everything I could have asked for. Perfect spot for walking to all my favorite Seattle places in town and on the water. I would definitely recommend!
Beautiful and spacious, I'd love to stay here again. The space is near the water for some air and art and within walking distance to Pike Place and many Belltown retaurants and shops. It's a perfect space, too, if you are in town and need to host a small meeting or a meal with friends. Elegant and well-appointed and so much more spacious than a hotel room.
Definitely recommend the condo
Unit is centrally and conveniently located. Major touristy attractions and neighborhood restaurants are within walking distance. The Space Needle is a bit of a hike but doable. The unit is beautifully and sufficiently appointed. The in-unit washer & dryer is very helpful. Simple and sleek design. Although we did not take full advantage of the building facilities: rooftop deck, skylounge, game room, etc. they are also very attractive and seem well maintained. Great view from rooftop - great photo op. We would definitely stay here again if opportunity presents itself. You won't regret your choice.
I am from Seattle but wanted something close to downtown so I could show around some friends from Boston. Pretty central location in between downtown and Belltown, made for a great balance between touristy stuff and nightlife. Clean unit with decent ammenities. Couldn't ask for more from a place to use as a homebase for a week or so.
This apartment was in the perfect location to walk to and from most of the Seattle hot spots, unfortunately this apartment was also right on the street, and with floor to ceiling Windows, it was not quite at all. Also the shades they had for the floor to ceiling Windows blocked people from seeing in, but unfortunately did not block out any light. So at night the cars coming and going in the parking garage shined right into your eyes while you tried to sleep, and there was traffic coming and going all night long. I really wanted to love this cute apartment, but after two nights of little to no sleep, it's hard to "love" it. Also the directions for getting into the location were kinda tricky as well. There are two parking garages, luckily we ran into someone who lived there at 11pm to help us find our way. Like I said.... Perfect location, cute apartment, perfect size, just WAY to much noise, and light to sleep.
It was a perfect location! Was cozy and modern and just what we needed.
