Joann J. August 2018
This 4 bedroom condo was perfect for me, my husband and the 3 grandchildren, one fiancée and our 1 year old great-grandbaby. Plenty of room for all of us to spread out yet with a wonderful kitchen and living room area. It was nice to have the baby at one end of the condo and us at the other so we weren't awaken with the early morning feeding. The weather was perfect the entire week, too. The only one negative we found is the noise was relentless from the facility next door during the day from the lazy river and water tubes. The kitchen was adequately stocked for cooking but we travel with our most loved, used kitchen necessities (we drive). The built in ice Maker in the wet bar area was a joyous welcome discovery! There is a pantry in the hall closet that contains a wealth of goodies, including extra beach towels, inflatable float ring and a toy dolly! We borrowed, washed and returned for the next visitors. The condo is beautifully decorated with remarkable canvas paintings. The television remotes was a first night challenge but Vacasa sent a very knowledgeable maintenance man the next day to fix the broken remotes as well as provide an tutorial on using the different televisions and remotes. The condo nor Perdido Grande provides a grill, which was a disappointment for our night of homecooked steaks. Our visit was the first week of August which was perfect. The kids had the pool most of the week by themselves. We tried multiples times to get into Doc's Seafood but the wait time was always more than hour, up to two hours, which is impossible with a one year old. Next time we will have someone go ahead to hold our place in line and call us when it was time for seating. We had dinner at Hurricane's Grill and Wings and Lulu's. Lulu's was expensive for our group as well as the Burger Factory after our day at the Naval Aviation Museum. We planned our menu's before leaving home and had our grocery order ready for pick up at Walmart after we unloaded the luggage and kids. So much time and money saved! We highly recommend this unit to anyone traveling with a larger group that doesn't spend a lot of time on the beaches. It is perfect for the boating and fishing enthusiast. We left only footprints in the sand and brought home tons of wonderful memories.
