The Location ans Everything was wonderful
LORENA C. Oct 2018
Had a nice stay thank you just the room is outdated but clean :)
LAURIE H. Sep 2018
The sheets were clean.
ROBERTO B. Sep 2018
Pretty much as a regular hotel room. Nice, cozy, with a balcony and in the heart of the village. Only downside was the ugly music out of the mexican restaurant across the boulevard but should you keep the balcony door closed then it's fine.

We loved having access to Northstar Resort and the proximity to King's Beach and North Tahoe Regional Park. We stayed here in August for a local baseball tournament. The room had two large beds, almost a full kitchenette (minus a stovetop), a huge sink (I guess in case you need to wash big, dirty things) and a tiny bathroom. The bathroom was super tiny, but clean enough. The place could use an update. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were not. Overall, it was a great value.
Manager response:
We appreciate the guests feedback. The mattress and pillows were replaced before this guests arrival.

This place has a great location!

Bed comfortable, small room and very small bathroom, room smells like old house no easy acces from parking lot to the room and looks like there’s no office to check in when you get there so call to check in and check out also need to get and access code for the door, other than that I liked it.

We had a great week in Northstar. The location of the property was perfect. The property is on the smaller side but has everything you need. Vacasa answered all our questions in a timely manor. Would stay here again.

We really enjoyed having such a convenient spot to stay. The kitchen amenities are enough for breakfast and lunch but plan to eat out for dinner. It’s very small - our little family of 3 had probably reached the limit with 5 days. It was a significant disappointment to find that although the lodging information claims there are laundry facilities but there are not. This and some of the other notes in the information book as well as signs on the wall are not relevant to the rental (eg. The sign says to start the dishwasher- funny)
Manager response:
We have removed laundry from the listing and apologize for the error. Thank you!

Location is great but unit is very small and it is definitely dated. Bring your own toiletries and coffee.

I enjoyed my stay here the room was nice and so was the surrounding area. i will return again.

Good

Shower is in great need of service. Be sure to leave your clothes outside of the bathroom until they fix the shower. Great location. I was surprised that the room was within the resort. You can walk to the shops and the gondola
Manager response:
The property manager has fixed the leaking shower head. We apologize that it was an issue.

Need some upgrade stayed in this same room
But different unit was much nicer

Based on previous reviews we expected the room to be in an awesome location but the room to be overly small and have less than the basic necessities. Located in the village, totally convenient and easily accessible to everything in the village. The room was bigger than what we had expected, and had all the basics like in a regular hotel room. The fit was comfortable for our family of 4; includes our 14 and 6 year old children. We'd rent this room again.

If you plan on skiing Northstar, staying in the village is the way to go. Very convenient place. Its not a luxury hotel but it serves the exact purpose of a place to stay and be within walking distance of the ski resort. No need to fight for parking, etc
Thomas K. Feb 2017
Love the location. So easy to get to the lifts. First day we had a 9 hour blackout. We got in bed with our jackets on at 8pm to stay warm. No lights, no heat. Toilet needs fixing and heater needs some way so that it doesn't blow cold air on the person in the bed near it. Walls are thin so we had Frankenstein above us. ...couldn't believe someone could walk so much and so loud in such a small space. Then we had to listen to the late night amorous goings-on of the neighbors next to us. You have to take your own coffee filters... this isn't a hotel room. We took 100 and left them for future renters.

Stayed with my wife and daughter. Reminds me of placed I stayed when I was much younger. Would probably opt for a 1 bed next time. You can't argue with the insanely awesome location.
Kamyar F. Jan 2017
The location was great form a skiing convenient perspective however, it was unbearable for sleeping. There was constant beeping noise all night long. It sounded like trucks going in and out and their back up beeping was nonstop. Garbage trucks delivery trucks, snow removal etc. Nonstop, all night long. We stayed there two nights and I did not sleep at all either night.
The unit is tired and you get what you pay for but the noise was unacceptable.
Will not got there again.
Mike M. Dec 2016
The location is perfect. You walk downstairs and you're in the village, fifty yards from the gondola. Parking spot is perfect too.
John K. Sep 2016
Would recommend it at all.
Sarah S. Jul 2016
This was my first visit and stay in Northstar. I would love to come back.
Jennifer S. Mar 2016
We absolutely loved this place and the location, fell in love until we went to bed. The beds in this place need to be replaced. My guess is they are the original beds from the condo. So great place but bad nights sleep!
Stephen S. Feb 2016
Burnt out light bulbs. Batteries need replaced in TV remote. Drapes thin. Light from outside comes through. Need eyeshades. Very small area for preparing any food. Surface area usable is approx 10 inches by 8 inches. The 4 cup coffee maker, toaster, and utensil caddy take up most of the counter space.
Only positive is the location and the price.
Manager response:
We apologize for the inconveniences you experienced during your stay. The Property Manager will take care of the light bulbs and remote control batteries. The kitchen area is very small as this is a studio apartment.
Amelia M. Feb 2016
Great location if you need to stay in the village. There isn't much going on at night so I prefer to stay in truckee or by the lake instead.
Jill M. Feb 2016
Basic accommodations, great location!
Lei L. Feb 2016
This studio is at a perfect location, inside the village, a short walk to the gondola. We were very happy with our location. The room is staged like a hotel room, which was sufficient for us two people since we don't cook, and we don't have a lot of luggage.
They can do better on the maintenance details. A metal decorative hook has a loose nail, and when I tried to use it, it fell down and stabbed my foot. Not cool. Make sure you have your tetanus shot.
Mini-fridge was set to max cold, froze all of our food. Fresh fruits turned into frozen fruits the next morning. Make sure to check the fridge setting before using it is my recommendation.
Caron T. Jan 2016
We loved this place! Will definitely stay again. Just the perfect size for my son and I. The location is so perfect to get out and on the mountain early without having to deal with shuttles, etc. the village had everything we needed and we had a fabulous time.
Susan H. Jan 2016
Only good thing going for this unit is location to lift. Very out dated, not enough towels to accommodate 4pp as advertised.
Manager response:
Thank you for your review and your feedback regarding the towels. We will have our property manager make sure that new ones are added to the home so our guests can have enough for their stay.
John D. Jan 2016
This is a hotel style room that provides accommodation close to the ski lifts. It is a bit tired, but reasonably priced for mid-week stays. Microwave, coffee maker and fridge are provided along with dishes and cutlery. Access to the local Recreation Center is a plus.
Kena S. Jan 2016
This property is in the heart of the village and was a very quick walk to the gondola and chair lift.
Rebecca M. Dec 2015
We enjoyed staying right in the village, nice restaurants. We would stay here again. It was a bit outdated but for the price it seemed like a great deal to be so close to everything. Loved having mini kitchenette for breakfast.
Men-Ching L. Dec 2015
The place is not very big but its all about location, location, location! Very short walk to the lifts and in the village. It is a small hotel room with a little kitchen area with a microwave & frig. It is perfectly equipped with plates, cups, glass bowls for reheating, utensils, can openers. Small drip coffee maker for tea but no coffee.

I would definitely rent this again for my family of 4 but it is a hotel room.
Siddhartha S. Aug 2015
We enjoyed our stay for a weekend at this property. Location is great. We would certainly go back.
April T. Jul 2015
Really nice and convenient location. Room was mediocre at best, bathroom had some mold and toilet did not flush properly, small room. Overall if staying a night or two you will be fine.
Manager response:
We apologize for the bathroom maintenance issues and will take care of those right away. This room is very basic, but it is worth it for the great location. Thank you!
Laura H. Jul 2015
We spent a few days here and had a great time with our young children. The unit is small, but the proximity to the village and price made it worth it. I have limited mobility, so I needed a unit in Northstar with no stairs. After a lot of research, I learned that only the condos in the village fit that description. The elevator from the parking lot is very tight, but we were able to fit our family with my wheelchair in. At the front door of the condo, there is a significant lip, so I couldn't ride the wheelchair in -- I just stood up outside and my husband folded the chair up and we stored in on the balcony. The bathroom is very tight, but I was able to make it work -- someone in a wheelchair full time would have a hard time transferring. I was also impressed with how much function they packed into the space. It was great to have a fridge and microwave, plus a little desk area and a table to eat or play games at. Thanks for a great condo! I would stay here again!
Karen J. Jun 2015
A little out-dated, but no more than most of Tahoe rentals. Bathroom is tiny - not much to be done about that, but just an observation. The beds were so comfortable and the location was perfect for our weekend at Northstar!
Carlos G. Jan 2015
The room is perfect for a small family with a couple of kids.
Peter Y. Dec 2014
Love the location of the unit. There is a cafe/deli right across from the building and it is just far away enough from the loud crowds of the main village. Will definitely stay there again.
Kareen F. Oct 2014
Definitely will stay and use Vacasa again! We were pleased with how affordable this place was. Very homey! Great location too.
Leslie T. Sep 2013
Good value, right in the village, comfortable. keep in mind that it is an older building so there are no acoustic properties so you hear everything.
