Clean and comfortable!
James H. | Jul 2021
This place was amazing, exceeded our expectations! We were there for a summer stay (July). The location was great, we walked into town most days and there is a nice, family friendly hiking trail (Sawmill Trail) that starts right at the same place as the bottom of the Snowflake lift. This lodge also has a complimentary shuttle that was an awesome bonus on the days it started raining when we were in town and didn't want to walk back. Our kids also loved the onsite game room and the pool/hot tub. The unit itself was very spacious and clean. There are 2 bedrooms and a bonus room off the living room that was perfect for our 2 year old to sleep in so that he didn't have to share a room with our older son. We loved our stay here and when we visit Breckenridge again (which we hope to in the winter) we will absolutely stay here again!

Location was farther from Main Street than we’ve had in the past but right next to Snowflake Lift. Kitchen was a little under expectations but we didn’t eat in the condo much. Beds were good. Bathrooms were great. Arrangement of condo was great. Balcony space was great. Pool and hot tubs were great. Linens provided were plenty for our family.

Where is Breckenridge, CO?

Located 40 miles east of the resort town of Vail and 80 miles west of Denver, Breckenridge is a resort town that has just over 4,500 year-round inhabitants. This small city covers almost five square miles and boasts a vast variety of indoor and outdoor attractions nearby your comfortable Breckenridge, Colorado cabin rental.

With over 70 restaurants and bars, two Nordic Centers, a golf course, 16 museums and galleries, and the Riverwalk Center Outdoor Amphitheater, this town has a lot to offer. Add to that the world-famous Breckenridge Ski Resort and you'll find that Breckenridge has everything you need for a fun-filled Rocky Mountain cabin retreat!

Things to Do in Breckenridge

Like the well-known town of Vail and the ski town of Beaver Creek, Breckenridge comes alive in the winter. With cold weather activities that include dog sledding, sleigh rides, snowmobiling, and even hot air balloon rides over the majestic winter wonderland scenery, you'll find that Breckenridge lives up to its winter reputation. With its ranking as one of the Top 10 Ski Resorts in America, Breckenridge Ski Resort boasts four towering mountain peaks on the Ten Mile Range and over 2,000 varied acres of skiing and snowboarding terrain. Whether you seek gently rolling hills or steep chutes, skiers and snowboarders of all ages will quickly find their favorite runs!

Besides the popular Breckenridge Ski Resort, the Gold Run Nordic Center and the Breckenridge Nordic Center each offer miles of trails for cross-country skiing or snowshoeing. After a day out on the slopes or trails, you'll love coming back to your private ski cabin or condo, sitting back by the fire, and being all warm and cozy in the comfort of your own home away from home. Or, if you’re staying in a ski-in/ski-out vacation rental, you’ll always have the slopes at your doorstep.

Breckenridge in the Summer

Of course, an adventurous stay in lovely Breckenridge isn't just reserved for the colder months! Summer brings its own set of activities - horseback riding, biking, rock climbing on the granite cliffs overlooking the Arkansas River, and hiking through fields of wildflowers. Honestly, finding something to do any season in a region with over 300 days of sunshine a year is a pretty easy task.

While you're here, getting around town couldn't be any easier - just look for the Free Ride! The Free Ride bus serves the town of Breckenridge at no charge, while the neighboring Summit Stage transit system in Summit County also offers free transportation throughout the entire area (including the nearby town of Blue River and the up-and-coming town of Frisco), making it easy to get from your Breckenridge vacation home to practically anywhere you want to go!

Cultural Attractions in Breckenridge

Culturally, Breckenridge has a lot going for it, as well! The Breckenridge Backstage Theater puts on year-round theater productions, while the Arts District, located near the corner of South Ridge Street and East Washington Avenue, is home to live performances, a ceramics studio, arts workshops, and the Riverwalk Performing Arts Center. In September, the Breckenridge Festival of Film brings a little bit of Hollywood to the Colorado mountains.

From your ski-in/ski-out condo rental or relaxing mountainside vacation home, you'll be well-located to experience all this Colorado resort town has to offer - lattes alongside ham and Swiss croissants at the Mug Shot Cafe, a scenic hike along the six-mile Mohawk Lakes trail, jewelry shopping at Two Wild Sisters boutique, or an afternoon on the slopes at Breckenridge Ski Resort. When you stay in one of our Breckenridge vacation cabin rentals, the possibilities are endless!
