Our family truly had the best time on this vacation and appreciated the location of the home Why Not in one of our favorite communities in Florida. We have lots of praises, but some not-so-good reports. First of all, the location is perfect, especially if you have family members that struggle with the commute to the beach. It is roomy, the beds are comfy, and there are plenty of cookware and dishes. There is plenty of lines (towels) and easy to assess. The air conditioning worked wonderfully!! Our main issue was the internet was not stable and would not let us connect on certain devices due to security issues. Occasionally, our cell phones would work on the wifi, but we always got kicked off. We had very tech savvy persons in our group, and they did everything the internet told them to do as far as going online, checking for updates, and security features. What we found out was the router is so old, it hasn't been able to be updated in 3 years. The sad thing is the owner is probably paying for this monthly, and all they would have to do is call ATT and have them send out someone to replace the router. We are terribly disappointed and very inconvenienced now because some of our party had to work on vacation and we used up all our hotspot data and now our data is so slow, that we could barely run MAPS to get home from Florida. We reported the issue immediately on Sunday, and Monday (personal visit to the Vacasa office) and never got anywhere with the issue. I feel we are due a refund for this service and the issues we are having with our phones until the billing cycle ends. They sent a maintenance man by on Sunday, but he was not able to do as much as my son-in-law. The lady at the Vacasa office told me the owner was out of the country and that after talking to her supervisor on Monday when she got there, she would get back to me. She did not. The owner being out of town is not our issue and we are due some compensation as this is listed as an amenity and behind air conditioning, wifi is definitely very important to guests. We were also texted about the cleanliness of the property when we arrived. The floors were very dirty. Our grandchild walked around barefoot on Saturday, and none of us had been to the beach and her feet were black. There is also mold on the shower walls in the secondary bathroom upstairs and on the main floor. We are paying a cleaning deposit and we expect the place to be clean when we get there. The sand was under the sofas, and the chairs in the dining areas could stand to be cleaned. The picnic table on the main deck is great to have, but one end needs to be repaired or an injury could occur. The cushions on the deck need to be cleaned or replaced. The living room furniture was great, and the washer and dryer looked new. The place could use some more utensils like butter knives, only 4, and some sharp knives. if you are coming, bring your own knives for cooking, etc.
We would really love to stay at this property again. But, we should be compensated for the missing amenities. Also, Vacasa didn't really handle it correctly by not getting back to us. The owner is paying for internet, cleaning, and a ho0st and I think they should make those items right for their property. i kept saying all week, what one week's rent put back into this property could do for the aesthetics and value of Why Not... So Why Not??

Unfortunately, the internet is not very strong in this location, and that is something we cannot change. The cleanliness will absolutely be handled by our housekeeping department. The picnic table is scheduled to be removed, and the patio cushions are going to be cleaned. More utensils have been purchased. Thank you!

Love the location and Carillon is beautiful. The beaches are pristine. The house could use some TLC. The picnic table on the deck was rotted on the benches. Needed a good cleaning and pressure wash the deck area. The kitchen is fantastic and well equipped. Overall the house was very clean. It would be nice to have a dresser or somewhere to put your suitcase in the upstairs bedrooms. The shower curtain is way too short in the upstairs bathroom and water gets cleaned n the floor.

We loved the open space in the kitchen and living room. The porch was fabulous to relax and watch the waves with a drink. The master bedroom was so comfortable, and quiet from the rest of the house. I’d go back to the Why Not!

We have stayed at Why Not 4 years. Love the location just Steps from the beach. Great view of the ocean from the deck. The deck furniture is nice but the cushions haven’t been replaced in the last five years or cleaned. The sofas need to be cleaned. Our first year the kitchen was stocked with kitchen utensils and flatware but over the years it has diminished. There were not enough forks or knives for our group of 7. We called the Vacasa office to express our concerns — the person who answered the phone listened but took no action to address the issues.

The location of this property cannot be beat. The beach is steps away and spectacular. The village of Carillon Beach is within walking distance.
However the house is in dire need of work. It needs a deep cleaning. The furniture is old and stained. The deck is in need of power washing. The furniture on the deck is stained. The door frames are black with dirt. There are birds nests in the corners.
Most of the bedrooms did not have a dresser or hangers to put away clothes. The decks off of the bedrooms had no furniture to sit on except one old picnic table. The location and layout of the house are fabulous, it would be great if it were given some TLC. We would not stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone.

Terrible mattresses, rotting rugs on decks, no blinds on master windows , rotting furniture in decks , bird nests on deck corners .windows not cleaned .

The beach house was great and had plenty of nicely decorated space. We were able to stretch out and enjoy ourselves with everyone getting their own large rooms. The proximity to the ocean was wonderful and was a very private beach area for Carillon residents. The Carillon neighborhood was quaint and offered amenities such as 3 pools (1 heated), playset, and basketball court. The downtown area outside the front is within walking distance (5 mins) and offers stores, restaurants, fitness center (you can buy temporary access), yoga studio, and more. The only thing missing in the wintertime was some blankets or comforters in the house, and when checking out Vacasa told me they would have gladly brought some over, so lesson learned. My family loved our vacation here

Our family loved watching sunsets from this beachfront rental. It's centrally located within the Carillon community and a short walk to multiple heated pools. Also the local Vacasa staff is great. We look forward to booking this home in the future.

This location is hard to beat. Away from the hustle and bustle with the security of a gated community. I absolutely loved everything about this location.
The home was nice but needs some TLC. Its obvious this property is rented a lot over the summer as most basic essentials are wore out. Definitely could use some sprucing up. Overall a great staycation for us, a local PCB family. We will definitely stay in Carillon Beach again.

We loved the view of and access to the beach. That’s about all this property has going for it. It did have enough space for our family of 10. You could tell it started out as a nice Carillon house, but it is terribly beat up and dirty. Little maintenance with poor housekeeping. We spent a lot of our stay just cleaning up. We had to put bedsheets on the sofas just to sit on them. The dining chairs are terribly stained. We found old food in the bedrooms, mold on bathroom ceiling and broken drawer fronts on bathroom vanity.

There were eight adults and three children four or younger. This is a fantastic house with terrific access to the beach and very gracious and spacious living areas. We loved the house.
However there was not a broom or dustpan, there was not a single coat hanger, and there was not ample flatwear for meals together. When I called Vacassa to note these shortfalls, I was told it was the owner’s responsibility. I am disappointed that Vacassa did not do more (as in anything) to remedy these situations. We were also told there was no grill when in fact there wasa grill.

Great house. Very comfortable and on the beach. Carillon development is a mess however, water lines being broken, new TV cable being installed, crews re-paving roads,just a zoo! Hopefully they will be done soon!

This is our third house in Carillon Beach to stay in. It is definitely worth the extra to stay on the beach. Why Not is a great home and location with plenty of space for the entire family. We had a few minor problems (coffee pot was broken, several light bulbs out) and all were fixed for us during our stay.

Home was in a great location, kitchen needs more stock in pots, pans, bowls, a pitcher, cooking utensils.... upstairs hall bath needs adjustment to location of shower curtain, not long enough so water runs out on floor. Also need a trash can in the laundry room.
